The battle for Planet Cold! A Dragonball Themed Roleplay!

Last time I did this, I got pretty screwed over, and I was a noob.

This time, I will bring to you the greatest Dragonball Themed Roleplay since sliced f***'in bread.

Or it could flop. Its up to you guys. Ya gotta want it.

First up first.

This is going to be a story about the Planet Trade Organization, after the fall of Frieza and his family. You will be playing the role of a Rebel, fighting for the freedom of the Cold Regime, a Loyalist, fighting to keep the remaining cold member (Friezas Cousin, Frast), in power. You could be a family who was wronged by the Regime, or perhaps a powerful mercenary who was hired and asks no questions- The choice is yours.

The first idea will have both sides fighting for control of 7 'keys' which can either open, or destroy a portal meant to siphon troops onto the planet from far off planets. (Get it, like dragonballs, except without the wishes.) What will happen when you collect the 7 keys? Find out!

Alternatively, if we get no villains/nobody opts to be a villain, or we go with an alternate route of badguy-turning-goodguy-mid-season, I will take the place of each 'keyholder' who has to safe guard the 7 keys, for if they are all taken, the portal will be closed down. This will lead to 3 separate seasons, rather then one, including one where the heroes fight the tyrant himself, Frast!

Some additional things;

I will not be playing my own character for either side. I shall be the GM of the roleplay and will sacrifice 100% of my time making the experience better for you, and shall be playing all NPC's, NPC villains, and ultimately GM and decide which way the story will go. However, this means nothing in the long run, as I will just be making sure we don't accidently fuck the RP up for ourselves in some screwed mish mash of plot ideas and sub-plots and what not. I have your best interests in mind.

WE WILL NOT BE USING POWER LEVELS! Well, we will, for scouter reasons, but Power levels will have very minor effects on the battle unless its a massive difference (for instance, 1200 vs 2500/25,000 vs 29,000, completely even, 20,000 vs 4,000... Well, pray to whatever god you had you escape.) I think you all understand how this will work.

RACE RULES: No Saiyans, No changelings, No Majins, No Demons unless you have absolute proof of it working out, no time traveling buzzheads (Unless you provide a very good background, which must be PM'ed to me before hand. I will not go easy on you.)

YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO MAKE YOUR OWN RACE, However, try and make it balanced and reasonable, as I will not be accepting a shapeshifting merchant race of fluffy wamblers.


Any questions, ask them here. I can be flexible with quite a few things, and will be explaining more about the planet, its advanced scouter devices, upgraded tech, a history, and new races that you can choose from if you are too lazy to make one yourself.

This is probably the reason no ones applying. What's DBZ without the Saiyans? It's the main characters race and shiznit. Also Majins are adorable even when they are evil.

Sorry. Saiyans are just too powerful to let into the game, though, I could make a single exception if the want is great enough.

You cant win these days. Say no saiyans, people want saiyans. Allow saiyans, people say they dont want saiyans.

Also, no majins. At all. They dont fit in this story, I'm sorry. :c

What would you say to a race of 3 eyed humans? Similar to Tien being the child of an alien race much like goku, he is the only one who ever has three eyes in the series even though he is classified as a human and he is the last humans to scale in power alongside Goku and the others.

Tien got the third eye from meditation and becoming enlightened.

Eh...maybe. I'm not really confident enough in my creative ability to make an entirely new race with any sort of quality.

Still, count me interested and I'll see what I can do.

Well, if its ok, my race is not really a race, but the the freak aftermath of what happened. I was thinking that my planet was thrown into a black hole due to a sick cosmic level game Frieza was playing. Through certain technologies of my planet, I was able to preserve myself to a degree, but I was the only survivor. Because of the nature of the black hole and the way the technology I was using worked, over time my being became compressed, and now my body is nothing more than this black Silhouette with minor humanoid features such as what appears to be hair, eyes, a nose, and mouth, where light surrounds and is absorbed into me.

3 eyed humans are fine, though Tien gained his eye from intense meditation.

I've had such bad luck with Dragonball Rp's in the past but I still join them when I see them in the hopes that it'll be what I hope for, so I'll be in this one as well ^_^

On the pros side, I think it's great that you plan of GMing the game. I've only been in one Rp with a GM before and it worked REALLY well, with the plot being driving more steadily then the chaotic mix of everyone doing whatever that often occurs. I also am encouraged by the fact that you mentioned 'seasons' which indicates a promising level of foreplanning.

On the cons, while I like the general idea of the plot, with the world hopping that gathering the keys implies and all of that, with the lack of Saiyans and the story occurring away from anything familiar, I'm worried that it won't feel very 'Dragonball-ish'.
Whenever there's a Dragonball Rp and people make a whole bunch of different races with their own lore and appearance, it just feels like a generic sort of Sci-fi fighting Rp rather than anything Dragonball and occurring offworld with different architecture and stuff, I dunno. Plus there wouldn't even be humans involved would there? So we'd all be weird alien thingies. I would have thought it would be better to have a small team of nothing BUT Saiyans, something like Bardock's team or whatever and just tell everyone to keep their character's powers in check.

But whatevs, this is your Rp and I'm really interested in joining. I even have a character in mind. Sooo, yeah. Plus one if that's kewl.
