The fragility of life is something witnessed first hand by those in the medical profession, from the porters to the paramedics to the highest ranked doctors. Any attempts to save a life can be considered heroic, even if they don't manage to bring the person back.

Following a Road Traffic Accident, a child is left orphaned, and in a hospital bed. The paramedic whom attended the scene takes the boy in, raising the child as if he is her own.
