Looking for something.

Never done a 1v1 before, not entirely sure what to look for. I'd usually just lurk threads until I see something I like, but I figure "Hey I can do that and put up a thread too." So that is what I am currently doing.

You, yes you, reading this thread. Maybe you're like me? Thinking "Maybe I should try a 1 on 1?" Well I say "Yes, you should." I am open to pretty much whatever idea although my bias is toward anime/manga type stuff and away from what some may call 'mainstream tv' (Think True Blood, Supernatural, etc. HBO stuffs.) That's not to say I'm not willing to compromise, because I am. As stated before, I've never participated in a 1v1 RP, so I don't exactly know what that entails, or how it differs from group RPs, but I'm willing to fudge it if you're willing to give me a bit of leniency. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu, Senpai (so to speak.)

As for the rest of my quirks that you may want to consider, in no particular order...
-Romance: Yes, I am quite willing to do it. I'm a sap for sappy stuff. I would rather not get into 18+ territory (that is to say, don't bother.) Willing to RP just about any which way you like to swing, but let's keep it vanilla, yeah? I don't wanna find myself suddenly sucked into a world of pain.
-Gender: I am happy to play either gender. However I will clarify upfront that I am a very straight male. Sorry if that shatters your illusions of a budding online romance, romeo, but you can still be my bromeo <3 Of course, this means that if romance in involved, I would naturally be more comfortable if you're a girl, but quite frankly this is the internet and I am an adult. If you don't quite fit that profile, I'll get over it.
-Length: Can vary. I prefer upwards of 4 paragraphs, and that's the standard I'll be holding myself to. If you fall short of that sometimes, I don't really care.
-Grammar/Syntax: I'm not the grammar nazi I used to be at 15, but I still enjoy it. I'm willing to be lenient, as long as you're not openly ignorant (I don't want to see repeated To/Too mistakes, and for the love of pete, it's spelled "Lose.")
-Genre: I said it up above, but it's worth repeating. I lean towards anime flavoured beverages, but I'm willing to lean over and share if you have something you want to do.
-Method: Thread, PM, I don't really give a damn. Let's stay away from email, though, yeah? I come on RPG to RP. I check my email to delete my spam and remember that I have no friends. Two separate worlds there.

Well, any more points and I'll start sounding picky, so I'll cut short there. Although one final note - bolded because I can't stress it enough: Let's keep it interesting! Been in a lot of RPs where people just sort of pump out blasé mary-sues and expect other people to spice things up while they follow along, and I have to wonder why they even join in the first place. Personally, I try to make the most interesting character I can swing. One that not only brings me great enjoyment to play, but hopefully can convince other people to actually read my post instead of just skimming it for references to themselves (you know exactly what I'm talking about, don't pretend you don't know.) I try to drive the plot forward and create interesting situations for everybody. I would desperately like it if you were that sort of person as well.

So anyway, there's my fishing lure dangling in the water. Snap it up or don't, it doesn't much matter to me. If you have some ideas you want a guinea pig for, I can be that guy (within my above criteria.) If you want to play with me for some reason but don't have any ideas in mind, shoot me a list of what you feel like doing, and I can construct something from that.

EDIT: If there is requests for such, I am willing to compose a list of (what I think are) interesting ideas that I'd like to do. This includes totally original ideas that I may or may not have kicking around in my head, as well as fanfic-type spinoffs of existing franchises.

And before anybody asks, I am willing to do side/parallel universe stuff if you want to do something in a franchise's universe. Modesty aside, I am very good at playing existing, canon characters (as long as I'm familiar with the character, I can probably play canon characters better than OCs, if I'm being honest.) As far as familiarity is concerned, you're pretty safe assuming I'm familiar with anime/game characters and unfamiliar with 'real life' characters. If it involves an actor showing their face and it isn't Game of Thrones, I probably haven't seen that TV show you like.

It's a shame, but I don't know much about Inuyasha (shows that are longer than 2 seasons and aren't HunterxHunter have always repelled me, so it's one I never got around to watching.) Sorry

Hmm I might be interested.
Although... The only anime I've watched are Avatar the Legend of Aang/Korra and Hetalia (and Tales of Earthsea and Origins: Spirits of the Past if they count... xD). I much prefer mangas (I've read Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Souleater, D.N.Angel and Bleach. So not many, actually...)
But... I have watched Game of Thrones! And read it, of course Well most of it...

I quite possibly MIGHT be interested, but I haven't seen a lot of anime. I think I've only really watched Naruto consistently, but if you're willing to work something out, so am I. =)
