    Titanomachy- The World of Vann'anu

Deep in the vast halls of the Gods, the gods stare with impassioned eyes at the world floating before them; a small blue marble floating in orbit around a vast orange-yellow star, having two moons that orbit the world.

“ ‘Lo brothers and sisters, there is the world of Vann’anu. The resting place of the Primordials, the lost world. Somewhere on that orb lies the Systrex Stone, the power of the Primordials. The Time of the Titans has passed. The Time of the Gods is now.” The shaded figure points to the world, “Here on this world we have the means to destroy the Titans once and for all.”

“What do you wish from us?” Spoke a death god who glowered at the figure by the world.

“You’re best warriors and followers. I want them to find the Systrex Stone and bring it to us. “

The death god stepped forward, her eyes glowing a deep red hue, “And in return for our warriors what do you offer us?”

The shade chuckled, “The end of the Titans. We cannot defeat them alone, we have waged a war for aeons and they still thwart us at every turn. Get the stone and I promise you…all of you the end of the Titans and the worlds they hold sway over shall be ours.”

So began the war for the Systrex Stone, the Gods sent their most trusted and loyal followers to seize the stone, however the Titans had spies in the halls of the Gods and heard what had been planned. In response they sent their most fearsome minions and followers to slay all the demi-gods and take the stone for themselves.

The World of Vann’anu has a world ocean that connects the various oceans together. There are several continents that span the world and the climate is a layered with warmer weather near the equator and snow and ice at the poles. Buried cities lay strewn across the world, many of them are large in size spanning nearly 50 square miles each.

    Rules of engagement:

After the tenth total post in the thread, (post number eleven) the Systrex Stone will be found. Whichever team posts at this time will be the team that locates the stone. They may write how and where the stone is found, but they will have it.

Once found you cannot simply vanish and escape, you have to defeat those trying to stop you in order to escape. If you have the stone you may drop it or give it to another player.

    The Systrex Stone properties:

Negation- The possessor of the stone may negate any single attack used against them without needing a prep once a fight.

Energize- The possessor of the stone may use once a fight the energize power which can add a total of two preps to any single attack the possessor is using.

Summon- The possessor of the stone may once a fight summon a golem to fight for them. The golem is a tier 6 being, with the following powers. The golem is 18-feet tall and made of a shimmering metal that flows as if molten or alive.

Strength: The golem has godlike strength due to the power of the Systrex stone that flows through his body, able to press/ lift 75 tons of weight.

Concussive Beams: He is able to use/project the energy of the Systrex stone for a variety of effects, one of which is concussive force beams, which have the effective maximum force of 100 gigatons of TNT

Shield: The golem can erect energy shields that can halt or blunt natural and preternatural powers for one turn.

Body manipulation: The golem can make his hands into weapons if needed, such as swords, lances maces etc.

The writer who cares more about words than about characters, action, setting, and atmosphere is unlikely to create a vivid and continuous dream; he gets in his own way too much; in his poetic drunkenness, he can't tell the cart- and its cargo- from the horse.

At night were the moon was at its fullest. The young Demi looks out to the night sky, knowing that above him were the gods that cursed him to be born after the defeat of the son of Zeus. Even though he didn't want to turn out like his father and tries to be good, but it was extremely difficult since people in their eyes sees a demon or a monster. Trying to do the best he can then realizes that even if he didn't do his job he was created for, the mortals of the world would just seal their fate by killing their own home. What god would create a world that it was just a free for all as people kill one another for dominance. Seeing that people have the power of what they call "free will" but it has only brought chaos to the world that is far more destructive that he could ever do. From then on he decides to take his role as the destroyer to reshape the world, if no one listens then they will perish and suffer the wrath of the new overlord. Because in his mind true peace comes with a price.

a small imp flies and lands next to the main demon and bows before him. "Great Demon king, I have returned with the most greatest of news!" It said picking its head up to look at his master. He was pissed that he called him that even though he was planing to overthrow the world, he grabs it by its neck chocking it as his stares at the imp. "Don't you dare refer to me as the demon king understand?" It nod in agreement as he lets go of it to get some air. "Now about this news you speak of?" He asked as the imp was still gasping for air. "Sire...the gods....want to rid of....the Titans.." He rolls his eyes not caring about the Titans at first. "And...a stone.....filled with power." His eyes lite up as he stares at the imp "Speak up damn it! What about the stone?!" The imp is frighten as it explains." They want the stone to defeat the Titans, they said with it they can get rid of them." He hatches an idea from the new, if the stone is powerful enough to take on the Titans then he could use it to achieve his goals." Wonderful, now listen hear. I want you to warn the Titans about this and tell them that they have a powerful ally that will take care of them. If they ask what do I want in return tell them......their obedience, understand?" The imp nods as it flies over his head" Did they find the location of the stone?" He asks once more. "No sire, its anyones game" he then smirks and gives out another order" Then order the demons to find this sphere by my rule, say the reward is like riches or anything that catches their fancy." The imp flies off as Alex stays before heading out.

"Finally, the gods rule of this so called existence is coming to its climax." He laughs maniacally as he grows his wings and takes off. Not knowing where the stone maybe at, but he can just go to where their mightiest warriors goes. Maybe he can beat the info out of them till he hears answers. He thinks as he travels in the sky as he wonders.....who's his first victim to his rain of terror?

    Judgement comes

The city echoed with the silence of those who had long passed. Beneath the rubble and foliage decrepit and ruined buildings, likened to the more fantastic architecture of modern Moscow, protruded on a waning skyline. Night drew close, and in what was once a bustling city centre a piercing bright light briefly illuminated a cracked and moss covered fountain, long since dried out.

With a cacophony of sound, glowing divine energy heralded the arrival of the first of the great warriors of the gods. Arguably the first living creature to walk the streets of what was once the capitol of Vann'anu’s greatest nation, Judgement stood tall in his armour as the light faded into nothingness around him. It left only the faintest traces of warmth, comforting the spirits which resided there. However, though the god who brought him here was benevolent, he himself hefted a mighty war hammer which hinted louder than words what his purpose was. It seemed the cycle repeated itself, the city would know no rest even now all those who had resided within it were gone, never to wage war again.

Beneath his helmet his eyes shone with a righteous determination, as he glanced at the ruins of civilisation with the knowledge that every intelligent race was doomed to the same fate. With the ability to reason, but also the ability to create, inevitably comes the ability to create that which destroys you. Even if not self-inflicted, time and nature itself ground everything to dust. There was no escaping it. However, with all his divine wisdom Judgement failed to acknowledge that he himself was also bound by the same principle. Eventually tiring of his stationary observation, he set off northward into the chilly evening air.

He took slow, decisive steps through the city, his metal clad feet echoing on the cracked pavement and through the ruins of structures. Nature had reclaimed the city after its people’s long absence. The streets were like game trails of a forest, structures like the tallest of oaks. Mortals would have had a difficult time making their way through the city, indeed Judgement himself had no particular knowledge of the place he wandered, and had he been guided by sight alone he would have been lost. However the thing he sought called to him like a crying child. The Systrex stone. Although it would take some time before he would find it… if given the time find it he would.

    From the Distant Veil

A shudder in the world hummed, and the sky moaned in pain as some terrible entity of space sunk its teeth into the fabric of reality. The air rippled and then tore, giving way to a seeping wound of white smoke that fell upon the ground in waves. The grass withered and disintegrated into black ash, sucked up into the invisible portal towards oblivion. A deep hum resonated as several chaotic forms reached out from behind the curtain of fog, clawing at the ruined earth with inhuman screeches. Tendrils, sharpened claws, misshapen grasping limbs, all desperately cried out to find their way into the world, but they were held back by an unseen force. The fumes rose to manifest as a wall of light blue, revealing the silhouettes of many figures rippling like water on the surface of a disturbed pond. A terrifying scream rang into the air, distant and muffled by the liquid-like wall separating the two worlds.

An elegant leg stood out from behind the portal, then another, and a beautiful woman stepped into the world of Vann'Anu. Her eyes dazzled with unnerving energy, practically burning the surfaces of all that she gazed upon. Her hands hung loosely at her sides, though the six blackened limbs protruding from her back never ceased to wave about. One flicked its hand aside, and the portal she had exited vanished in a moment just as another scream began to pick up in volume, suddenly silenced and cast away into the beyond.

This so-called Systrex Stone, it was here, and she could feel its power. The lord of the Nihilith, her master and savior, desired it to combat the destructive Titans that challenged his rule within the anti-world. What petty champion of those vile Titans could oppose her, anyways? They could not even comprehend her existence, much less where she came from. They would turn to dust before they could even stand up to her, or so she expected. Surely the Titans, being capable of intimidating those inhabiting Nihilith, could produce something at least satisfactory. It would be boring to find this stone without even needing to lift a finger.

Al-Fari brushed aside her blonde hair and continued forward, her footsteps leaving a wake of destruction upon the ground, as the lingering effects of the Nihilith imprinted themselves upon the world. The earth was singed black and turned to a smoldering smoke before calming down. Nevertheless, it remained desecrated and lifeless. Worldless. Obliterated. Her challengers would face the same fate, that of utter annihilation from reality.

During his search for the stone he starts sensing a dark presence, something that doesn't belong in this world. He questioned if it was one of the gods of dark or not so he decides to investigate. Flying to the source of the entry of he new fighter, but it was a girl with six arms with strange markings on the limbs on her upper body. He laughs in pity as he was starting o get worried there for a second thinking that it was a god. Nonetheless less he could sense the holy energy in the city since he can only sense the darkness of people's hearts.

He dives down and lands a few feet away from his enemy as he smirks looking over to her. He scoffs a bit before speaking to one of gods supposed greatest warriors. "Warrior of light, tell me what you know about the stone I've been hearing about and I will spare your life. If you refuse then perish...." He said as he shows his energy as well, matching the blond warrior. As it felt cold but the fact of the feel that he was undead, but he was a demon. The prince of the overlord's aura radiets as it forms a dark fog around his body, the wings then separate and forms eight tentacles on his back as his arms turn black as the night itself.

" So what will it be little girl, corporation or annihilation?" He said as a short burst of gust is blown outward from his body. Blowing hurricane like force winds as his power was steadily rising. He waits for his answer as he looks over to his adversary, thinking it would be to easy to scare a girl like her even though she more arms then she can bite.

    THE COMING OF THE LIGHT

From the twisted and shadowed halls of the Titans, a glowing figure rose slowly and bowed before the seated figure, “As you wish, I shall recover the stone and the end of the Gods shall be at hand.” The glowing figure said as it stood and slowly vanished from the room, leaving a shimmering after image.

Amid the stars the glowing figure popped into existence over a small planet, the cosmic winds flowed and raced around him as he drew in the light cascading around him fueling his form. Accelerating the figure raced down toward the planet like a streaking meteor. As soon as he hit the upper atmosphere the light being flared, creating an aurora effect of shimming green as he raced down towards the planet.

Racing around the small planet twice the light flashed brilliantly as he descend, landing softly on the deserted street of a vast city. The white stone towers and archways glowed bright with a soft blue-silver light as the glowing form moved easily through the city looking for the demi-gods who sought to murder the Titans with the help of the Systrex stone.

Scanning the world Hau’sha’sur paused a moment as he detected several other life forms on the lifeless world. One, a crude and violent being, Alex was creating a disturbance, he had found a servant of the Gods and was in the process of confronting…her. This fact caused Hau’sha’sur to pause as he turned his senses on her. There was something about her, something wholly unique about her energy.

The he felt another form, another being, another follower of the Gods, only this one was much more similar in to Hau’sha’sur than the others. Curious the light being leapt atop a towering spire and focused his energies on the trio, watching them, judging them. Even though Alex was technically an ally, he distrusted the being.

Wrapping the light around himself, Hau’sha’sur contemplated his next move as he vanished from sight. Absent mindedly he traced a finger along the edges of a bas relief on the spire. A shining sliver-blue light flickered then vanished almost as quickly as it had appeared.

Al-Fari yawned, raising the back of her hand to her mouth as she drearily lowered her eyelids to convey her utter disinterest in this bold and arrogant man. She cast a glance at him before rolling her head as if to loosen the many years she had gone without a fight. The boy's choice of words were appalling, she was neither a warrior of light nor someone that could so easily be passed off as done for. The rush of wind left her unfazed, just as completely dissatisfied with the opponent as before.

"I know nothing more than you do, child," she pointed out as one of her black hands glowed a bright white; Not Visible to this World, one of the 8-Anathema powers she held, allowed her sight into the opponent, and she could tell that the boy had no extra information of the Systrex. Anything she could recount would already be known to him. Fully aware that this Titanspawn wouldn't go without a fight sooner or later, she resolved herself to take the time to crush him. If not her, then the other warriors of the gods would be forced to waste their time doing it instead, and Al-Fari was certainly not one to thrust such an annoyance onto others. Another arm glowed white, and a cloud of mist fell down upon two of the black arms sprouting from her back. The fog solidified into two simmering swords of darkness, black clouds of ash falling from the blades to burn into the earth below. The weapons continued to destroy the air, melting away their existence into oblivion. Activating Not Compatible with this World left Al-Fari with two additional tools of destruction besides her barbed wire whip already in hand.

Another glow, and the area around the two champions became drenched in smoke, and the once silenced cry of the Nihilith's inhabitants was brought to this world again as a cacophony of distant moans and screams. The Distant Veil was brought half-manifest into the world of Vann'Anu, offering Al-Fari quick access to the Nihilith's offerings of power. A smirk spread across her face as she swung her whip aside, the steel wires lengthening into a jungle of metal barbs surrounding her position. With one swing of her arm, the barbed wire shot outwards as a tower of thorny waves towards Alex.

He gets frustrated from the fact he was called a child. Growling softly as he started walking towards his enemy as if she was no threat. Giving the same treatment as if what her performance was terrible, nothing more then just flashy moves as the tentacles come in front of him to form a shield. The barbed wire attack only just bounced off of the shadow shield as he starts picking up pace. Four chains come out from his arms as they were lite up with black flames, the chained look like they were alive as the hovered around his shoulders. Using the shield as a battering ram, he stretches out his arms as the chains go outward and then going at her by the sides. In an attempt to disarm or "disarm"her to where she can't fight back. The chains will chase after her until it makes contact as he stops at where he is at for a sure footing.

"I hope your brain is bigger then your breast you twit" he said with a bit of base in his tone. His power increasing by the minute by her using dark abilities. Making his heart race as it was his ecstasy to cause chaos and destruction, he was created for the very reason but was always tempted from using his full powers.

    The Search Begins

Hau’sha’sur balked at the power of the woman that Alex faced. There was something entirely dangerous within her, something that made her more than what she seemed. Focusing his clairometry upon her and the fight slowly unfolding, he scanned them to get a better idea of what may happen. After a long moment of intense study he sat back and contemplated the powers about to be unleashed.

Absent-mindedly he redoubled his efforts to gather the light cascading down from the moons above him, their refection of the sun’s light felt pleasurable as he wrapped that energy around and wove it into his being. The fighters seemed prepared to devastate the city they were in, a shame but such was the cost of war.

Turning his attention a moment towards the other warrior of the Gods, Judgment, he knew that he was here on this side of the world. No matter the being did not possess the Systrex stone. As long as he stayed searching in the city he was in, Hau’sha’sur was confident they would not cross paths. Standing he contemplated the vastness of the city, it’s beautiful layout, even hidden by such growth the majesty of the city was obvious.

Accelerating the being of light raced through the city, into the towering spires, myriad of temple complexes and deep into the vast labyrinths that lay beneath the towering structures. His light casting away shadows from aeons of rule, seeing the faded glory of the people who lived on the world. Illuminating their hidden and lost artwork, granting an appreciative gaze on the statues and paintings all falling to decay.

Emerging from one such labyrinth, Hau’sha’sur stood akimbo as he gazed at the vast overgrown city before him. He had searched the obvious places and found nothing, now he would have to search the less obvious places, the places where no one would expect to find an artifact of power.

The unquestionable beauty of the city trapped in nature and stasis was lost on Judgement as his heavily armoured form walked the streets at a steady pace. The city was huge, but his searching was not truly physical in nature. Within the vaults of his mind, he prayed to his god to grant him sight beyond his stature. It was this which allowed him to seek out the stone, and when he had it in his mind it would be a matter of moments before he seized it in the physical realm.

Sadly, it was not to be as easy as he hoped. Countless other dark and varied forces entered the world around him as he searched; some he assumed were sent by the other gods. The Almighty would be reluctant to allow them access to the artefact, but it was not Judgement’s place to question the other gods even if he disagreed. When he found his fellows, he would fight by them if necessary in the acquisition of the artefact they all sought.

For with the warriors of the gods came those of the titans, the overlords. They would be unrelenting, but they would also come in many guises. Judgement would not judge them on appearance alone, for even the purest heart can harbour dark seeds of malcontent. It was this which separated him from other ‘pure’ beings; he recognised such creatures and was above them. Or so he thought. A disturbance some distance away alerted him to one of his allies engaging a titan’s slave, but he ignored it. If more of them appear it would not do well to have most of their righteous side locked up and engaged in battle, no doubt allowing the forces of the titans to acquire to stone before them. Judgement had no doubts that the stone would be a serious advantage to whoever seized it first, provided they had the strength to hold onto it.

His hammer clasped in both hands, he continued to walk down the street, silent prayers in his mind granting him insight into the world he wandered. He walked into what seemed like a park, some strange statue of a long lost hero sculpted into marble the only remaining attraction to what was otherwise an overgrown square of grass in the middle of the city. Eyes glanced over the memorial, impassive, he sensed that very soon the stone would be seized and when it was the power would call to him.
