The Void continued to plummet along with it's temporary platform, soon to collide with natural bridge of stone. The rock way and platform both shattering into pieces, sending the Voor tumbling away into the depths bellow. Soon the scenery changed into a desolate version of the world above, at least as far as the Void could discern, as it fall past a tower. One of the larger stones smashed into the huge structure, causing it to shake violently, The Void wasted no time in sending out four of it's resilient appendage's in an attempt to latch onto the building, the pincers piercing through the concrete and motor. Using it's hold as leverage to swing toward the superstructure. It soared toward the leaning roof of a neighboring building, tumbling end over end, only it's harden chitin saving it from heavy bruising and cuts. It's momentum carrying it to collide with the roofs waist high stone railing, crashing through it to then fall once more, though slower then previously.
At last it dropped headlong into what appeared to be a massive pool of water, quickly sinking under it's filthy murky depths. It was several moments later before the Void emerged once more, bursting from the water as several of it's tentacles groped for something to cling to hang onto. Finally it grabbed hold of the twisted steel of what was once a beam used to support a building. Pulling it self to the half submerged and wrecked building remains. Pulling itself out of the water it finally tasted stable ground beneath it's feet once more. The Void did not know it, but it had fallen into the midst of Vann’anu's many buried and underground cities. Most of the buildings here were submerged partially, a few rays of light shinning down from the fissures made by the giant ball that had hit the city above.
The Void decided to take stock of it's condition, both perplexed and angered by the turn of events, concrete and masonry still raining down around him. The Stone for the moment was lost, likely buried beneath the grimy waters that filled the majority of the underground cavern. Shaking water from it's hide it took the time to decide on the next course of action. First and foremost, the stone needed to be found, then a way out would shortly follow. Flexing it's massive shoulders, it inhaled sharply, it's weight and size increasing. An idea forming in it's mind.
The abomination of Vur'chul would not give up so easily.
