The Thing That Never Dies
Jack turned around, "Well your point was made." he said and walked back over to his chair and sitting down. He sighed when she asked what he was going to do and noticed her smiling, "What are you smiling about, your going to be punished." he said looking at her curiously. He went and got her file out of a pile on his desk, "Brooke." he said looking up at her. "Say's you were in a robbery." he said and read through her file. He sighed and looked at her setting her file down on his desk, "Alright, solitary confinement for the day." he said and called a guard in. The guard walked over and grabbed Brooke's arm, Jack held up his hand stopping him. "but I am a fair man give me a reason, any reason at all that makes sense not to punish you for breaking some girl's nose." he asked looking at her and waiting for her reply.

Brooke stood there trying hard to think of a reason for him not to put her solitary. But no matter how hard, she couldn't think of one. "Umm because I'm new and haven't even met my cell mates yet?" She said slowly hoping it would be a good enough reason, but knowing it more then likely wouldn't work. She looked up at the guard who didn't seem to by it. Then looked at the warden waiting.

Jack chuckled when she gave him her reason, "Really that is the best you have, alright. Guard show her, her new cell mates then take her to solitary." he said and turned his attention back to her. "Their that problem is solved." he said and set back down in his chair. The guard went and handcuffed her again behind her back and brought her out of the office, he brought her in front of her cell which was the second one as soon as you exited the wardens office and pushed her inside with 1 other women. He figured he would give her about 3 minutes to get to know her cellmate and then he would go and take her to solitary. Jack sighed and started to sign paperwork saying that he had received the new inmates and not to send anymore since he was getting overcrowded.

Brooke sighed as the guard pushed her into the cell with the large red haired women who was her cell mate. Looking around the cell she frowned angerily turning around to look at the guard "Ok haha, can you please just take me to solitary now" she said.

The guard smiled and opened up the door grabbing her arm and pulling her out, "What don't like your new cellmate." he said walking her to a line of solid doors. He opened one and pushed her in locking it behind her, though he did leave the small shutter open so she could see. Jack sighed and got up out of his desk, he went and walked around the prison making sure everything was in order and that there were not any kinds of loose parts to cells or the fence so the prisoner's could escape.

Brooke ignored the guards question not really caring what he had to said. She squinted looking the dimly lit room, which barely large enough for her to move around in. She could see how this was a forum of punishment, being in a room this side was a claustrophobic's worst nightmare, carefully she walked over to the bed at the end of the room. However it was very quiet which was a bit of a plus for her, she laid down on the bed humming to herself as she waited for the warden to release her from solitary.

Jack waited till their was an hour left in the day and got up out of his chair, he walked with a guard to the solitary room. Stepping in front of the door he banged on it with his fist to make sure she was awake, he opened up the small slider and looked inside. "You going to behave now or do you need another day in there." he asked his mouth the only thing that was visible in the small slide that was their. He waited for her answer and thought about how long he would leave her in their the next time she did something cause she just seemed like a trouble maker.

Brooke must have fallen a sleep in the quiet. The wardens banging on the door making her jump up out of the bed. Blinking and rubbing her eyes as he opened the slider, after being in the dark room all day the light hurt her eyes. Moving towards the door "Yes, I'll behave. Just let me out of here please" she asked him, though she wasn't really sure how long it would last. She stopped a few steps from the door as she waited for him to open the door and let her out.

Jack brought his head down so he could look through the slider at her, "If you get in trouble again it is a week in here. Let this be a warning." he said and opened the door. He stepped back and waited for her to get out before shutting it behind her, a guard came over and escorted her back to her cell. "Have fun with your cellmate." he said and shut the door behind her. Jack watched her go and had followed her out but instead of going all the way to her cell he went into his office and started working. An hour later he heard the alarm saying that the prisoner's were going into the courtyard, he watched as they came out in single file.
