Greetings one and all!

CHICAGO INSTITUTE IN PERIL!

WIth all the drama in the New York Institute making the rounds in the Shadowhunter community it can be easy to forget there are other cities with other problems across the globe. When Valentine tried to overthrow the Clave in Idris, Chicago's Institute stepped up to the plate. Normally a bastion for the Midwest's Shadowhunters, the Chicago Institute is set up much like boarding school and training academy to train the next generation of demon exterminators for service in the New World. Despite rising tensions between the fairies and werewolves over possession of Grant Park, and a vampire civil war that has led to an exodus East to Detroit, Chicago nevertheless dispatched a number of their Shadowhunters to fight in the battle. Most of them even survived the fateful war with Valentine.

Most, but not all.

The survivors came back to find a Chicago Institute deserted. Their friends, family and servants had disappeared and a small horde of Ironband Demons had taken root infesting the Institute.

Downworlders have also gone to ground, unknowing or unwilling to speak about what happened to the people of the Institute. The only indication of what may or may not have happened comes from an almost illegible note left on the desk of Andreus Greendale, the former head of the institute. The scribblings are wildly formed compared to Andreus' usual composed style but they seem to reference a demonic weapon of some sort. What it was, what it is capable of, and where it might be were not indicated.

With the Clave rebuilding itself after the battle with Valentine, defending Chicago against this otherworldly threat and trying to find the missing adult Shadowhunters falls to you.

1. Standard rules apply- no god-modding, be respectful of other players, maintain some grammar standards, etc.
2. That being said, TMI is great because of the constant twists and turns. If you see an opportunity to take the plot in a new and exciting direction when things have gotten boring- DO IT!
3. Primary characters are Nephilim. I'll be happy to allow up to two different secondary characters per person, but please don't bite off more than you can chew.
4. Have some FUN people!

Because of the nature of this plot, I would like primary characters to be Nephilim. SECONDARY characters may be anything from vampires and 'wolves to Fae and mundanes... maybe even a demon or two!

To prove that you've read the rules, please write a short introduction of your shadowhunter arriving at the grounds of the Chicago Institute. The Institute is on an Island along the beach near Grant Park. While surrounded on all sides by a stone brick wall six feet high, the wrought iron gates to the Institute, heavily warded when you left, have been torn in two like a sheet of paper. Parts of the brick wall have been blasted through and there is evidence of fire damage to the front of the building.
