"I wouldn't worry about you. You're hardly an interesting sight in the Undertown." Karnage scratched one of his bandages. Once the captained handed out the papers, he recognized one of them, the Goblin. Never met the guy in person, but he's seen him once before in Orsimer. Never bothered to figure out why, but goblins where never a problem in Orsimer and for good reason; most handled trade, and if they act up, no one would blink an eye if they get cut down. Anyways, time to head out. "I'll go after the goblin. Anyone with me?" Karnage knew better then to lurk in the Undertown alone, and as much as he didn't particularly liked the others gathered here, he might as well be able to work well with them. It's not like he has plans to get imitate with them. "If you going after the goblin, meet up with me." Karnage turned around and walked off to the sewers.

    ---South side of Undertown---

Karnage blended in pretty well with the natives. He certainly looked like a thug. The one he was looking for, the goblin "Yarbik", was in Black Hut, whatever that meant. Karnage didn't do a lot of business in the Undertown, if he had business here, it was short. But he knew he was in the right area, so all he needed to do was find the right goblin.

Bretta gave Niso a sideways smile but it slipped when she felt another pang of pain. Early that morning she had awoken to stabbing pains at her side and her chest. The pain felt familiar, something that she had suffered a while ago. Then she had remembered, Meda's dagger had struck her in that same place. Those who had cared for her had done the best they could, but it seemed they hadnt done quite enough. Perhaps it was the explosion, or maybe just some simple movement too far.

Whatever it was, her breathing was constricted and she was coughing up far more blood than before.

"Sorry Lad, I dont think I'm up to coming with ye."

She grasped his hand again and clasped it in farewell.

"It was good to meet you, Niso Vespar. May the stone be with you, I can tell you will become a fine soldier."

She nodded and turned away, stumbling until finally she collapsed against a wall and breathed her last.

Greg rubbed his chin thoughtfully, he had paired up with the Orc Karnage last time.Perhaps it would be wise to do so again...He quickly set off for the south side of undertown, taking heed to the foul smelling water.Gregory soon found Karnage, although it was pretty hard to tell the difference..Karnage blended well with the thugs here.Gregory on the other hand didn't blend as well, his face was still soft and luscious. But other than that he was built and prepared for battle.

Moving his hands over her eyes to close the open lids, their hands still clasped in a warriors farewell. Knowing her more in stories and legends then what the short period of time together had allowed, the feeling of history itself was drifting away as each passing moment crept by.

“May tha’ stone be with ya’ as well m’lady.” Remaining by her side till the healers of the guard made their way near, even lifting Bretta’s body onto the teams carrier before finally letting go of the female warriors hand. A solitary tear fell from his eye before gathering his wits and placing a gruff attitude in full view as he turned to the team.

“Let’s move out… now!” Angered for his position within her death, in a muted tone he swore to bringing all of those in association with the Dragons either a timely death or some other form of punishment. Battle hammer in hand, the dwarf expressed nothing as pain, joy, hatred, and even anger all failed to bring their mark upon his form. Everything that was passing through his minds or emotions were held within the stout bindings of his soul.

Lucille gasped, staring helplessly at the collapsing body of the female dwarf. She hadn't really expected someone to die of wounds. Especially at the briefing of a mission.

"Shouldn't you... do something? About the body?" she asked, looking at the incensed Nito. "Don't living things have some... rituals for the dead?"

Lucille bent down next to the body, and looked at Bretta. Her mouth was caked with fresh blood and her eyes were closed. She had seen the eyes of someone who had died with them open, and it was not a good sight to remember. It stared out blankly for a thousand miles, with no indication or recognition of the past or present.

She was glad most living things closed their eyes when they died.

Plenty of goblins, but none of them matched the description he was looking for. Someone had tagged along, the human-looking person. Greg was his name, if Karnage remembered. He looked out of place, not looking dirty and desperate like the rest of them. Still, this could be useful; Greg looked like a newblood down here, meaning that someone was going to make the mistake of trying to steal from him. No one would dare try to attack him, not alone anyways; everyone could see his weapons. Guy was practically a walking armory. But this also meant that pickpockets and thieves might try to steal from him, which was what Karnage was relying on. He halted his search and ducked out of Greg's line of sight, just long enough for Karnage to see a squat human child reaching for Greg's coin purse. Another character, a large troll, bumped into Greg. It was at the exact moment when the troll bumped into Greg that the child reached out and tried to steal the coin purse. Karnage did nothing to stop the human, as he was relying on this child to lead him to Yarbik. Why this child? Well, that was because the child has a tattoo of a third eye on the forehead. There was probably a relation.

(I'm slightly confuzzled, and am not sure who, if anyone, is headed north with Jip, so I'll try to leave this slightly vague...)

Jip watched, respectfully, as the guard healers came and took away Bretta's body. And as he trudged north through the sewer he thought for a few moments about the battle the previous day and how she had launched him through the air. "Twas most fun," he whispered quietly to two nearby rats munching on some unidentifiable tidbit.

"Oh, fudgenugget," he said suddenly as he remembered that after Bretta's death, he had never pressed the Captain for an answer to his question about some kind of passcode so that the one-handed gnome would know him to be a friend. "Looks like I'll just have to convince 'im."
