Steampunk mech arena, anyone?

Yes, you read that correctly. It's an odd concept, but here's the back story.

In the post apocalyptic future, Britain has reclaimed her throne and conquered the remains of the world. The technologies that caused the end times have been shunned, and technological evolution has topped off at the steam powered phase. World wide, unrest is spreading. Malcontent factions are fighting back against the tyrants in the nobility and developing weapons of their own, some going as far as to research new technologies in an attempt to level the playing field. Her majesty has decided to put operation TITAN into effect, and the world itself will tremble under the iron feet of these colossal creations. The Enforcers, the elite and chosen few who pilot these mechs, are a less than regal group. The streets buzz with rumors and scandals of pilots participating in underground gladitorial events, the less honorable nobles becoming patrons of criminal street fighters and placing them within the ranks of the enforcers to continue their games.

Right, so, the story's less than what you might want, i'll admit it's not my best. Anyway, if you're interested, you can join up as an enforcer (Noble fighter or otherwise), or a patron of one of these fighters. Depending on interest in this, we'll see where things go. I'll be GMing the fights and other events in the world, and i'm open to advice since this will be my first forum roleplay as a GM.
