    Digimon: Belphemon's Awakening{IC}

It was a day like any other. For Tetsuya it was a bit hectic, but nothing to strange or out of the ordinary. He'd gotten up and gone to school. While there he went to class avoiding most of the other students and kept to himself. He was quiet most of the day. By the time he knew it it was lunch time. He went out and as he walked he noticed a big guy pushing a smaller guy into an alley. "Was that..." He stopped for a second before following.

As he moved along the wall he peeked in to see just what he expected. The big guy, who he now recognized as the school bully Daichi, was shaking down the smaller guy who was a computer wiz by the name of Kenjiro. Ken was the guy to talk to if you needed help with computers. Hacking them, fixing them, he did it all. Daichi... He was a bully. He picked on the little guy.

"Hey Daichi... Leave Ken alone will ya?" Tetsuya said as he walked into the alley. The events from that point on were fairly quick. Daichi mouthed off and got beaten up by Tetsuya who sent Ken on his way. However, Tetsuya was reprimanded because he looked like the bad guy in the situation.

His mother was called and he was sent home. As he walked in his mother sighed. She was a single parent and he got in trouble a lot. Sure it was for the right reason, but it must have been stressful for his mother. He hugged her and apologized saying he'd try not to make her worry and bother her too much. She sighed, but smiled reassuring him that he was never a bother. He let her go and made his way up to his room. "Great." He said to himself as he closed the door behind him.

Tetsuya took a deep breath and turned on his computer. "Well... I can always have a little fun here." He said calmly before a small window popped up. "An ad? What is this?" He asked as he clicked on what looked like the advertisement for a new game. His screen went black. "What? Oh great... This is just perfect." He said angrily before the screen flash a bright white light and he was suck in. "Aaaaaaah!" His voice could be heard as he flew through was looked like a stream of data and digital wonders.

(For now... It has begun. )

The Langerous House, a rather large place. The halls filled with statues of stone, vases and sorts stood on top of small slabs. You'd see a maid or two walking by, maybe the dog. But mostly what you'd see every day would be Matthew Langerous, walking down the hall towards his room, hauling a backpack full of books. Today was practically the same as most days, studying to ensure he was smart enough to live up to the standards of his Father, who was a brilliant man.

Matthew pushed the door to his room open, closing it behind him then looking around. The place was mildly cluttered, and stacks of books on certain sciences surrounded the room. Matthew had read all of them... Yet he had trouble remembering them. "Alright, studying today." He said, dropping his backpack onto his desk and sitting down, wiping some sweat from his forehead. Those books were heavy. He pushed the button on his monitor, watching it turn on. He sighed. "These machines hold so much information, yet are such a pain to use..." He grumbled, beginning to work.

    . . .

It had been a few hours, his desk now filled with books and a notepad he was writing certain facts down in to focus on later. He had been working nonstop since he got home, and didn't stop until he heard a knock on the door. "Who is it?" He asked, looking at the door. He smiled at one of the maids as she walked inside, an older woman. "Your mother requested to see you, young master." She said gracefully, Matthew nodded quickly. "Right, tell her i'll be right there." He replied, watching the maid nod and wave to him before exiting and closing the door. Matthew sighed. "I wonder what she could want..." He asked himself quietly, not paying attention to where he was moving his mouse to exit out. He turned his head as he clicked, though. Noticing he clicked on some sort of Ad. He rolled his eyes, watching the screen black out. "Wonderful." He commented, starring at the computer for multiple seconds, raising an eyebrow. "Just... Wonderful-" He was cut off by the screen flashing white, it scared him, but not as much as the fact it sucked him inside it. he managed a small yelp, banging his foot on the pillar of books on his desk before being completely sucked inside, every book falling to the ground with a thud.

"What..." He was speechless! This place looked odd, and was way too bright for his comfort. Where was he going, and why? He only knew one thing.

"This is going to be a long day..."

Kyo never liked long days. The kind that drag on, where the sun burns holes in your retinas, and your body just falls apart. Those kind of days. They made him sad, angry, and everything else you could think of. Infact, the only thing he had to look forward to these days was a nice chat on the computer with some stranger from across the world- Hardly a life changing experience by any means. So, when he took his usual stroll back home from the market, he made sure to quickly turn on the computer- Something was off, though. The darn thing was flickering. Growling, he smacked the side of the tower. The screen flickered, buzzed, and then, in one bright flash, he was suddenly being sucked into the computer. He was speechless, well, except for the single scream he let out as he was sucked inside, leaving him... Somewhere. Bright somewhere.

He could only stare, and gape at this place. He was going upstream without a paddle, figuratively speaking, of course.

It was a day just like any other; tedious and overly long. Michiko was bored out of her skull by the time Kyo and herself were done with their tutor. With barely a word exchanged between them, Kyo set off for the market and his daily chores.

With nothing else to do for now, Michiko slunk up to her room. Sliding the door shut, she gave a long, dejected sigh. How had things gotten so bad with her brother? They had always been so close when they were younger, but as they had grown they had drifted apart. It had been slow at first, but now it had gotten to the point that an awkward silence pervaded the room whenever they were together. Dinners were the worst, nearly every night they ate in silence.

She slumped into the chair for her computer.

While they ate, their father, more often than not, languished in a stupor in his study; a thick, heady stench of alcohol clinging to him like a shroud. Michiko had lost all sympathy for their father when she was younger, because of his inability to deal with his grief; they had lost a lot more than the mother that she barely remembered. Kyo, however, always had sure he had something to eat at least, and make it to his bed.

The air in the room was stagnant, the heat boiling. Michiko opened a window, and the song of the cicadas’ filled the room. She made a face; irritating insects. Still, given the option it was preferable to a slow roast without any air. She noticed that Kyo was just arriving back.

Settling back into her chair, the computer monitor flickered. Her heart began to speed up, recalling all the strange things that had been happening around electrical devices recently, and no matter how vehemently she insisted that they had happened, no one believed her. A hiss erupted from the speakers for a moment, then stopped.

Everything was quiet for some time as Michiko just stared nervously at the machine. Suddenly a pop-up appeared. The text was mostly garbled, but one word was clear ‘Help’. She closed it, but it kept coming back.

She had reached the end of her tether by now, as well as being more than a little shaken, she shut the computer down. As she was about to leave the room, the screen came on again!

It was just like the other pop-ups, but the text was a little different. This time it read; ‘#@~]{ Pl@se=+-_£$MichikoHelp!’/?’

Now, curiosity piqued, and she clicked on OK.

The next thing she remembered was being enveloped by a brilliant white light, and then falling.

    "SUCH A LONG DAAAY!"

Charlie Imano moaned from the kitchen. her mother walked into it. "Why don't you go to the beach with Mini and Tora?" She asked. Charlie frowned. "remember mom, I hate them?"" Charlie reminded her idiot of a mom. "Oh dear, that's right. How about you go talk to Chiaki through the phone? I'll give you 30 minutes tops." Charlie frowned. "Ok then." Charlie grabbed the phone from the living room and ran up to her bed, with a bowl of steaming rice in another hand. It was Ironic really in Charlie's mind, how it's the longest day of the summer. Charlie sat down on the floor, and dialed her best friend, Chiaki's number. Chiaki picked up. "You Imano!" He said, chuckling a little. "I guess you're bored out of your mind as well, huh?" Charlie asked. "You bet sweet cheeks...." He replied. "Anyways, I sent you an E-mail bout the game you wanted." Charlie remembered. "ok, i'll call you back." Charlie hung up, and opened her computer, and checked her E-mails. She saw one from Chiaki, and clicked on it, dragging the game from the letter onto her desktop. But Charlie noticed another E-mail, she clicked it open, as it was another from Chiaki. She read it.

    "Come with me...."

Charlie was a little creeped out, but clicked the file attachment. Suddenly, a white light engulfed Charlie. And She seemingly woke up.... In a forest.

Ulysses sat down at his desk on his computer playing online video games with his dog at his side. He pet the dog's head and yawned quietly to himself. The dog followed his example as this really was a boring day. He drank out of his Pepsi can and put it down at the side of his desk. Ulysses had the day off from school and man did it suck because nothing special every happened around here. He even looked plain with his gray shirt, black jacket (it is cold inside his house), glasses resting on top of his pointed nose, and black sweat pants to match his jacket because why the hell not!? He didn't like school very much but at least it gave him something to do besides sit down playing Civil War Generals V where he was once again beating his friend using General Sherman's army. How many times did he have to do this before his friend got sick of it? Ulysses was more or less just humoring his friend who sucked at these games. He wished he had a challenge or something new anything new in fact! "Oh boy how so very fun..." Ulysses said leaning back as the game declared his victory and he spun around in his chair. The dog yawned again and walked away from the room and Ulysses couldn't blame the poor pooch for doing that. He exited the game after texting his friend he was going to check out something’s on The Tube (his equivalent of youtube) and maybe watch some funny videos online. However as he opened his internet a strange pop up came up talking about some new online world that he couldn't care less about. He likely needed to update his ad blocker or something. "Damn piece of junk..." Ulysses said to himself as he taped his computer screen like he usually did when he was bored. He clicked out of it and then his screen pop'd up to a new one which was foreign to him and looked like a dark hole. "What the-" Ulysses said as he tapped the computer screen and suddenly he was sucked into it and the next thing he knew he was falling...his first thoughts was this was all some sort of odd dream...

Tori stood in the gym practicing her jumps when the owner of the gym came in. "Hey Tori will you go edit the site to include our competitions and their dates please." She asked. "Sure" Tori responded in her british accent. Tori jogged into the lobby and say d0wn next to the computer. She pressed the on button and watched the computer come to life. She puled up the website and opened the editor. She stood up and walked to find the coach to get the schedule. Tori put on a pair of yoga capris and a tanktop over her spandex shorts and sports bra. She once again sat down at the computer and got to work. She typed up the schedule and after finishing and saving on the middle of a website was a black screen she tired to click out of it but soon it expanded and she was sucked in after a flash of light. After that everything became a blurr and she knew her life was about to change.

As he flew through Tetsuya suddenly came to a stop. He seemed to be floating in a world of nothingness. "Hello." A man said his voice coming form behind the confused teen. "What?!" Tetsuya out of instinct turned and swung, but the man caught him by the wrist. "Quite a powerful punch you have there." The man said calmly. Tetsuya pulled his hand back and looked at the man cautiously. "Who are you? What am I doing here? How..." Before he could ask anything else the man shushed him. "You've been chosen. I know quite a great deal about you. And how you feel." The man said. "What do you know?!" Tetsuya replied quickly. "I know you're lonely. And you feel like a burden to your mother. And..." "Okay okay... I get it." Tetsuya said annoyed by the man's knowledge and a bit sad that he was right.

He did feel like a burden. Since his father had passed his mother had been left to care for him and deal with the stress alone. He'd thought about leaving, but he knew that would only hurt her. "Listen. I want to offer you a chance to make a difference. It may not seem like it at first, but... Trust me. After all... You have been chosen." The man said smiling as he held out a strange device. "What's this?" Tetsuya said as he grabbed the item. A crimson light came over his body almost as if he'd been scanned. "What the hell was that?!" He shouted grabbing the man.

"Don't worry. The digivice simply synced with you. You see it runs with a DNA feature. You'll find it very useful especially with your preferences." The man continued to explain about the digivice and digimon and digivolution. However, soon enough Tetsuya found himself passing out.

(I'm not sure if everyone wants to meet the same man and have him give you a digivice and explain, but this is how the journey will work. You meet the man or someone of your choosing who will talk to you and give you what you need. Here's the catch. You'll pass out and when you wake up you won't remember. Bits and pieces will come back as time goes on and you learn and get stronger. We don't know each other. For the most part, but our digimon do know each other. Most of this was explained, but just in case anyone needs a refresher i said it again.)
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

Tetsuya awoke to the sound of his name being called. "Tetsu... Tetsu... Hey Tetsu wake up." The voice said as he slowly opened his eyes. As his blurred vision cleared he saw a face he'd never seen before. It was covered in fur with a flame on it's forehead and on it's tail. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Tetsuya shot up and shouted. "What the... Who the..." He was speechless. He looked around to see a jungle like area with a wide variety of plant life, and a large number of erratically placed street and traffic signs. "Wow... You have a very wide vocabulary don't you?" The creature asked. It's voice was like that of a young boys. Or at least that's what Tetsuya thought.

"Hey watch it or I'll clobber you ya little fur ball." Tetsuya answered quickly before realizing that he was talking to the creature. "I'm Coronamon. I'm your digimon partner." The digimon introduced himself cheerfully now that Tetsuya seemed to be able to speak again. "Digi... Wha?" "Digimon. Digital... Monster. I'm your partner." Coronamon answered Tetsuya before he could fully complete his sentence. "W-well... Nice to meet you." Tetsuya said shaking Coronamon's hand having now calmed down. He was still a little weirded out, but there was no use flipping out.

"Looks like he came around pretty quickly." Coronamon said as he looked around at the other digimon now proceeding to awaken their own partners. Tetsuya looked at the variety of digimon in awe before noticing the other humans. "Looks like I wasn't the only one." He whispered to himself calmly. "Of course, not Tetsu." Coronamon said. "Okay... My name is Tetsuya. And how do you know my name?" He asked. "Oh... We've all spent time watching our partners before. It was in a place called the Forest of Televisions. I heard the woman you called mom call you that." Coronamon said calmly.

"Forest of Televisions... Sounds like..." Tetsuya shook his head to avoid getting off track. "Okay... Listen... Just don't call me Tetsu. And don't mention anything that doesn't need to be mentioned." He said. Coronamon just smiled and nodded as the two waited for everyone else to come around. "I wonder if anyone else will freak out." Tetsuya said. "Wanna watch?" Coronamon said smiling. "I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship Coronamon." Tetsuya said as the two stood back to watch the other humans eat smiling.

Matthew winced as he came to a sudden stop, gravity didn't normally work this way, not that he'd know that much on the subject. But things fell! They didn't stop in mid-air for no goo reason whats-so-ever! He looked at his surroundings, still bright and bland. "Alright, this is certainly NOT how i expected to spend my afternoon." He said, putting a hand onto his chin in thought, not noticing there was someone standing behind him, seeming to simply stare. They finally decided to speak up, realizing Matthew wasn't going to notice them. "You planned on studying?" He asked, causing Matthew to turn around quickly, his eyes widened. The man was around 5'7, judging by his looks he wasn't all that old, and his voice told the same story. "... Well, yes. How would you know that?" He questioned, calming down and regaining himself. The young man shook his head. "I know plenty about you and your family, you've got quite a reputation to live up to if you wish to keep up with your old man." "You-" The young man put a hand in front of Matthew, a strange device sitting in his palm. "I know your doubts, and you are gifted like your father. Just in a different way."

Matthew looked away, he knew his Father's brilliant intellect wasn't passed down to him; but he always tried to learn. He wanted to succeed, he didn't want to let his family down as being a failure in a long line of brilliant scientists. He studied and studied, but he always seemed to forget. The most important details... Forgotten. It irritated him greatly, and he wanted it to change... He was gifted, the young man said... Matthew stared at him. "Gifted how?" he asked, as the young man gestured for him to take the device, so he did. Soon a light shined over him and he winced, frightened. "What-"

"Don't worry, that's normal. Since your so willing to learn, Matthew, then you should have no problem listening to what i have to say." Matthew listened to the young man carefully, he explained some things. These involved the device he was given, the digivice. and digimon in general. As well as digivolution. "I hope you got all of that." The young man said with a smile, Matthew nodded slowly, his eyes getting lazy. He glanced around. "What..." "Good luck, remember, you ARE gifted." The young man's last words rang in Matthew's head as he passed out...

    ============================================

Matthew sniffed, he swore something was burning... Fire? What? His eyes shot open and he looked around. "Is something burning?!" He asked in a frantic manner, looking forward and noticing a small purple creature roasting a sort of berry over a small fire. It looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Hah! I knew that'd wake you up, always a worry wart!" The creature said, snickering. Matthew scratched his head, starring at the creature. What was it... Why was it- No, where was here even? What was going on? "What... Are you?" He asked the creature, as it pulled the stick it was using to roast the berry out of the fire, pulling off the cooked snack and shoving it in his mouth. "Mmm... Mmmph, Mmmph!" The creature struggled to speak until it swallowed it's food, putting it's three-fingered hands onto it's hips.

"I'm Impmon!" He announced, grinning. "And it seems i have to babysit you! Or, as much as I've gathered... Be your 'partner'." He commented, using two fingers on each hand as quotation marks as he said 'partner'. Matthew stood up, coughing. It was odd, but Impmon didn't exactly bother him. It said partner, didn't it? "Well, nice to meet you... Impmon. I-" "Matthew, Matt for short, alright? Introductions, yadda' yadda!" Impmon said, cutting Matthew off. The little creature looked highly of himself, that's for sure. "Well... We know eachothers names, so that's a start. What are you, anyways?" He asked, causing Impmon to stand proudly with his nose in the air. "I'm a digimon! That's Digital Monster! And i'm a monster, alright! I fight like one! Hyaa~!" He said, karate chopping the air. He was full of spunk, too. Matthew laughed nervously, nodding to Impmon. "Well... Uh, that's good to know." He managed to say, looking around. He noticed multiple other creatures. More of these... Digimon? And humans? One of them was awake, and had a small creature at his side as well... His partner? Impmon punched Matthew's leg, pointing at Coronamon. "Pfft, don't sweat it! You've got the strongest Digimon imaginable! Everyone else should be jealous! Hah!" Impmon said, smirking. Matthew rolled his eyes, this was going to be a very odd friendship, if you could even call it that. "Riiight." He muttered, looking down at Impmon with a faint smile. "What now?" he asked, as Impmon sighed. "Well, gotta' wait on these slowpokes! All still sleeping... Pfft, at least you don't sleep in!" He said, stumbling around in boredom. "Your attitude will take some getting used to." Matthew grumbled, rubbing the back of his neck and starring around at the other sleeping humans.

Where... Where the heck was he? Kyo looked around. He was, somewhere. Somewhere odd. Really odd. He extended a hand and grabbed at the air... He could breathe in this place? He was floating. Yeah, that probably should have been the first thing to come to mind. Flexing his arms and legs, he tried to check if everything was still there- He might be in shock... Did he get hit by a car? Was this heaven? No, no, he was on his computer... Did it explode? Was there a gas leak? Oh gosh, he hoped his sister was okay... He bit his lip, twisting around to face...

"Jesus! You scared me!" The boy said, startled, as he pushed away. The man simply laughed for a moment before shaking his head.

"Hello, Kyo. Worry not, your family is fine." The male said to the boy, as he simply stared.

"How did you- No, where are we? What is this place?" Kyo asked, looking around quizzically.

The figure smiled back at him, shaking his head. "Welcome, to the Digital World." He said, holding his hands out to his sides.

"The Digital, what now?" The boy asked, tilting his head. This was going to take a while...Fast forward a couple of minutes later, and soon everything that needed to be said, was said. He was given his Digivice, told he was 'chosen' for something, and then, he... Simply disappeared. Well, not really. More like Kyo's vision got blurry, then he completely blacked out.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

His eyes shot open. His heart raced, and his head pounded. His hands gripped into the dirt, as he pulled clumps out into fists. Kyo had awaken for the second time today, to the smell of... Food. He sat up, staring over at the fire. Rather then speak, he was rather... Perplexed. This was not normal. Nor was the creature in front of the fire. This might have either been a really bad dream, or something big was going down... Either way, Kyo really wanted to go back to sleep.

But there was no time for that. Slowly standing up, he looked around. "What is this place...?" He muttered.

"A jungle. You know, lots of trees and brush." A strange voice said from a tree. Turning his head, he looked up to a particular branch that held what looked like a dinosaur of some kind.

"Kyo, its not nice to stare you know." The creature suddenly spoke again, this time, he knew it was directed at him. He opened his mouth to speak, but it seems the monster took the words out of his mouth.

"Agumon. I'm your Digimon Partner, Kyo. I know your name, long story." He said lazily, tilting his head to the side.

"Alright... Where... Where is my sister..." He said quietly, trying not to freak the heck out.

"I dunno." The Digimon replied. Wow, quite a fun one, wasn't he.

"Help me find her!" Kyo said, turning around and looking about- Oh, there she was! Wooh, almost thought he was going to have to go on some sort of wild, kooky adventure to find his lost sister... Thank god for that one. Running over to her side, he slowly slid down beside her and checked her pulse.

"Don't worry Kyo, she is alive. She is just sleeping, like you were. She will be awake soon." The Agumon said, before jumping out of the tree and landing in the dirt. "You look hungry, lets eat." The Digimon said.

"I... Can get behind that idea." Kyo agreed, finally inching a smile on his face. His stomach was roaring.
