As I am new to these boards I am still trying to get the hang of things. This thread is something I came up with and I believe has potential. The story takes place in a Medieval Fantasy thread, the trading kingdom of Ashan is rich and prospersous. Located admid the most profitable shipping lanes and surrounded by vast resources the nation has endured 400 years of peace and prosperity, but that wealth has become a beacon. A burning flame that has attracted the notice of the Empire which has made a habit of swallowing vast terrotories peacefully or forcebally. As the Empires vast armies encircle the small kingdom unknown to the people a group of emperial agents work to undermine the defenses before the battle.

The story will take place in two parts. The first will be the final night of Ashan, and the fall of the kingdom. Afterwards there will be a timeskip several yrs later. Characters can range from the sleeper agents to soldiers on the front lines to civilians just trying to survive the night. You do not have to have the same character in each thread but there must be a connection.
