Story:
The year is 2600, and humanity has finally expanded beyond the borders of its atmosphere, establishing colonies on worlds that can support life, or planets they have terraformed to support life. Countries all have but ceased to exist, becoming the Terran Empire as a collective whole however, they still have the enmities that were present before the Empire was formed. Britain and France were still going at it long after its citizens had forgotten why. They just knew they were supposed to hate each other.

However, the further humanity expanded, the more sentient aliens they discovered, and the more sentient races they discovered, the more that are hostile towards them. Humanity has since long invested less in conventional ground warfare, as many aliens are physically superior, and seem to be impervious to bullets, and has resorted to the use of A.W.E., or Armored War Exoskeletons.

Originally developed in a joint effort of the Terran Empire, it has since spread to almost every nation, and, as a result, each country has one or two names which are known throughout the world for their quality. While each company may be good in one aspect of A.W.E manufacture, they often have a downside due to the company's focus on one aspect.

The pioneering attack that made the A.W.E.s famous was the Taking of Demeter in 2213, now an agricultural world mostly dedicated to farming and recreation. Before the Terran Empire possessed it, it was held by hostile extraterrestrials called 'Larks', so called because of the laughing sound they made to communicate with each other. After attacks were launched by them on the nearby economical planet of Arethusa, the Terran Empire retaliated by sending their own armies to invade the larks, including their new weapons, the A.W.Es.

Usually, a campaign as large as the one planned would have taken months of delicate planning and back and forth between the two forces, however, the A.W.Es tipped the balance greatly in the favor of the Terran Empire. The sheer size of the original A.W.Es was intimidating enough, and sent Larks running for their lives, but they pushed on without rest, taking the cities one by one with little to no difficulty as they shrugged off the energy rounds that they threw at them. Only one A.W.E was lost in that campaign. The Larks were soon subsumed into the Terran Empire, and allowed to live on their planet in exchange for the Terran empire taking them as vassals.

After that campaign ended, A.W.Es were put into mass production, and the various countries started to churn them out one after the other, putting their own marks onto them and starting to shape their own molds for them.

As the years passed, A.W.Es started to grow less bulky, though they were still physically large and imposing. Meeting other races meant that the world of science made leaps and bounds, and the operators of A.W.Es soon found themselves with many options to choose from when selecting their weaponry.

Now in more modern times, only the elite Terran troops are allowed to don these suits however, because of the worth and the difficulty of operating the suit. Children are tested at an early age for compatibility, and only those with a high enough score are permitted into one of the many training academies after their secondary education. These A.W.Es are given to the soldiers, provided they sign a contract that essentially locked them in for a long term of service the military. Those who have been accepted receive the following letter from one of many schools:

To whom this may concern,

Congratulations, (insert name here), your application to Lunar Academy has been accepted, and we are happy to welcome you to our school.

Lunar Academy is a school dedicated to the training of A.W.E pilots for the military. Located on Luna, the moon of Terra, Lunar academy boasts some of the finest facilities available to the Terran empire. The chefs are top notch, the rooms are filled with fine furniture, and the teachers are all veterans of one war or another, and are eager to teach the new generation and pass on their experiences. In this school, potential A.W.E pilots learn tactics, teamwork and A.W.E maintenance, as well as combat training.

An advanced holographic arena allows students to pull the data or their A.W.E.s from the school banks and bring them into realistic being in the arena, where they may compete with them with school mates or with teachers in their yearly exam. This method is to ensure that injuries are minimized. In case of injury, the school is staffed by an entire hospital, and one entire wing is dedicated to medicine and recovery practices.

The curriculum of the school consists of 3 years of education and training, before they are handed over to the military to complete their contract. During every year, there are various events that will happen to entertain the students, as well as test their resolve, camaraderie and strength. During the year, the students will be allocated into 'Teams'. In these teams, the members must learn to overcome their differences and work as a cohesive unit if they want to pass their test, or survive their career, as these 'Teams' often carry over into the military.

A.W.E.s will be delivered to the school garages for storage. At any time, a student may access their teams garage via access card, however, when not in use, please leave your A.W.E in your designated garage to avoid any misunderstandings with staff or outside authorities.

On the day of orientation, a shuttle will come to pick you up at the Luna Spaceport at Terminal 3. Please be waiting there by 1100 hours sharp with your luggage and accoutrements. We look forward to meeting you and teaching you in the coming year.

A.W.Es are exactly what they imply. Covering the body of the operator, they emit a translucent layer of energy that protects the user from most forms of harm. At first they tested mechas, but they proved to be too cumbersome to transport, so they settled for exoskeletons. These exoskeletons are fitted with armor and weaponry of their soldier's choosing, another perk for being an A.W.E operator.

All A.W.E.s are powered by a core which is the most important part of the A.W.E. It is the part that powers all functions from weapon systems to life support. Sealed within a black cylinder, the core is capable of powering a home for decades, but can only last at most a week in an A.W.E due to the machine's power hungriness. Now rechargeable!

Frames
Your frame is the body of your A.W.E. This is what decides the size, armor, and general use of your machine. Frames come in three types: light, medium, and heavy. As is implied, lights A.W.E.s are small and agile and have little armor, heavies are big and slow but well protected, and mediums are somewhere in the middle. Your frame also dictates the special perk provided by the manufacturer of your machine. Different companies specialize in different things, and this will be reflected in your A.W.E.

Armaments
Your armaments are the equipment that you carry with you into battle. They come in two categories: weapon and support. Weapons are exactly what you would expect — guns, swords, missiles, etc. Weapons come in three categories:

• Conventional - This weapon type refers to weapons commonly used by the Terran military in the form of either ranged weapons which fire solid rounds, or melee weapons which reply on sharp edges or other such means to pierce shields. This includes shock mauls, vibro-swords, and knives, as well as rifles, shotguns and high velocity sniper rifles.
• Laser - This weapon type makes use of stimulated emission of photons to fire a powerful beam of light, which, while containing no physical impact, is faster, but somewhat weaker than conventional weaponry. The wounds cauterize wounds upon impact, but deal enough tissue damage to take people out of a fight. These weapons have shorter range due to the refraction of light, but can pierce shields easily.
• Plasma - This weapon type is currently the most advanced munitions currently in the possession of the Terrans, and is still experimental in nature. If compressed too much, the plasma becomes too volatile and excited, the particles often gathering enough strength to detonate in a blue-white shower of burning hot ooze, which explains why there is a minimum size for the use of plasma in weaponry. Usually only used in large scale war machines such as artillery and some larger tanks, technology has progressed to the point where it is somewhat able to implement the munitions into A.W.E weaponry, although this is still considered dangerous.

Weapons can also come equipped with special modifications, attachments, or ammunition that give it a unique ability, as all base weapons are of standard stock and all function the same. Support armaments are the flip side to this. They all tend to be unique and made to help the A.W.E. perform its intended role. They tend to take on the form of drones, jet packs, repair kits, or other small attachments and devices, but they are not at all limited to just that. Some support armaments can be multipurpose as well, allowing them to do a variety of tasks while taking up less space.

Shields
Your shield is what protects you from your enemies weapons. It is an invisible energy barrier that is form fitting to your A.W.E. that is powered by a special generator inside the core of your A.W.E., and its size determines its power.

Signature Asset
This is your A.W.E.'s most powerful armament. It can take the form of either a weapon, support armament, or even something built into the frame or your A.W.E.'s CPU itself. The options for these sorts of assets are near limitless.

HUD Add-Ons
Your heads up display is what provides you with battle information in the midst of combat. The standard HUD, however, is extremely limited in what it provides, giving not much more than internal diagnostics, slight aim and tracking support, and an extremely limited radar. Add-Ons give your A.W.E. the access to information it needs to help your A.W.E. perform its role more efficiently.

In order to ensure that no one turns their character into a one-man-army, there are a few rules to combat:

Dodging:
You will notice that when you read the 'A.W.E. Construction' hider below, you will see the phrases 'dodge score' and 'maneuverability penalty' numerous times. Those two numbers determine your chances of getting yourself out of harms way when the time comes. These times will be notated at the bottom of the the GM's IC posts. How it works is simple: first, you are to add up all of the maneuverability penalties your A.W.E. has, and add them to the dodge score. Once you have that number, you are to roll a twenty-sided die (or use a random number generator if you don't have one). Compare the two numbers. If the number your rolled exceeds the combined maneuverability penalties and dodge score, then you dodge! If it is equal to or lower, then you get hit. This also works in reverse when trying to hit enemies. If there is a reasonable chance for them to dodge (which should be fairly often), you are to ally the same system for them. Be sure to post in the OOC when you are going to attempt to dodge or fire at an enemy before you summit your post, as well as the numbers your got. Now, as no one but you can see your screen or die, this is an honor based system. If it is thought you are faking it, you will be kicked. There are no exceptions.

Damage:
Should you actually land a hit on an opponent, or vice versa, two things are expected. First, you are allowed to dictate where the damage was done, and how much. Again, this is using the honor system; you are not to make all of your shots one-hit-kill head shots, while only taking minor grazing wounds yourself. Be realistic in the damage you cause or receive. Be sure to take note of the types of weapons and how powerful they are (detailed in the 'Components' hider'), as well as the strength of your special weapons. Second, you are to be reasonable about acquired damage. If you take heavy damage, something on your A.W.E. will break or malfunction. A bunch of small hits over time do add up. One more thing to mention is this: you can be knocked out/killed. You are not invincible. If you botch your dodge roll and take lethal damage, you are to own it. If it is thought you are not, you will be kicked. There are no exceptions.

Energy:
As the A.W.E.s are machines, they require energy to run. The energy comes from the core of they A.W.E., and it factors into combat by limiting the amount of time you can fight. This is represented by the number of posting rounds that you can participate in. For example, the standard energy allotment for your average A.W.E. is eight. This means, once combat has started (as will be dictated by the GM), you have eight posts (less, if you miss a round) before your A.W.E. runs out of power and shuts down, and you are taken out of combat.

Like the combat system detailed above, to prevent people creating super-overpowered machines of death, a point system has been implemented in the creation of your A.W.E.s. The rules to this system are as follows:

Frames
• Pick a frame type: light (10 point slots; 2 dodge score), medium (15 point slots; 4 dodge score), or heavy (20 point slots; 6 dodge score).
• Create your own unique company to be added to the lists (please discuss with the GM first when deciding upon bonuses), or choose one already made.

Armaments
• Create your weapons. Conventional and laser weapons come in three sizes: one-handed (1 point and maneuverability penalty per), two-handed (2 points and maneuverability penalty per), and heavy (3 points and maneuverability penalty per). Plasma weapons can only be found in heavy, and are more costly (4 points; 3 maneuverability penalty per).
• Pick your perks (1 point per). Perks can be anything, including but in no way linted to: a clip of unique ammunition, a special barrage function, an alternate caliber firing method, or transformation abilities. Be warned that special ammunition will be in limited supply (consult with GM; 1 point to double given capacity).
• Create your support armaments. They are more costly depending on size (1, 2, or 3 points and maneuverability penalty per; consult with GM).
• Decide upon additional functions. If you want your small laser drone to also be able to generate a small barrier for your protection, this is where you dictate that (1 point per function).

Shields
• Pick a shield type: weak (1 point and maneuverability penalty), moderate (3 points; 2 maneuverability penalty) or strong (5 points; 4 maneuverability penalty).

Signature Asset
• Create your asset. Special weapons are extremely limited in use, but have the benefit of being much cheaper and much more devastating due to having a low, flat rate despite being weapons with a lot more perks attached (2 points; 1 to 3 maneuverability penalty depending on size). Special support armaments follow this same line of thinking (4 points; 1 to 3 maneuverability penalty depending on size; consult with GM).

HUD Add-Ons
• Pick your Add-Ons (1 point per).

Obey the GM and Co-GM — In general, I will leave most tasks and decisions to my Co-GM, Zata, but I do have the final say in whatever goes on, and thus the power to veto the orders of my Co-GM. However, you will obey any orders we issue without question or complaint.
Your Standard IC Rules — You know, no god-modding, Mary Sues/Gary Stus, etc. Romance is allowed and encouraged, but no cybering.
Spam will be present — The OOC tends to fill up quickly with the nonsense of myself, my Co-GM, and our fellow trusted RPers. If you do not wish to wade through the sea of gibberish that tends to spawn, simply ask if anything important has happened, and my Co-GM will get an answer to you as soon as possible.
No in-fighting — I am aware of the problems that arise with egos (my Co-GM has a fairly large one), however, I expect any and all disagreements to cease before they reach flame levels. If you find yourself in an argument, wait for me or my Co-GM to show up. If my Co-GM is the cause of the argument (which may happen), please smack him across the face with a brick. That being said, if either of us notice that you are causing many fights on a frequent basis, and you don't stop when we ask, you will be kicked.

Name: Thessalia Minari

Nationality: Swiss

Personality: Thessalia is, simply put, an overachiever. She constantly strives to deliver the best performance she can, no matter the circumstances. That, however, doesn't mean that she ignores others in pursuit of her own success - instead, she is highly team-orientated and has little problem with authority; neither submitting to or holding it. This trait, however, easily makes her seem a rather harsh person to whom people would matter little and cares only for success - at least, on the first glance or three.
Aside from that most immediately obvious side of her, Thessalia is otherwise quite a quiet one, preferring to spend her time reading and otherwise relaxing - in fact, it seems that once she steers away from the topic of A.W.E.s, theoretically or practically, Thessalia simply becomes a quiet girl who keeps to herself most of the time. Whilst not antisocial by any means, she simply doesn't actively seek out other people's company or feel bothered by its absence.

Bio: Thessalia is the third child and first daughter of one of the most senior Technical Engineers of Wirbelwind. The company, considering its still rather niche corner on the grand scale of A.W.E.'s regularly held compatibility tests in which the children of the employees were free to participate, hoping that perhaps a high enough compatibility rate could be found among one of them - and with their prospective success, so too would the company's fame rise and perhaps put them on a more equal footing with the more established big names.

Thessalia's brothers, three and six years older than herself, had participated in the tests themselves at the behest of their father - though with their remarkably low scores, no one held much hope for the third child to follow. What no one expected, however, was for the little girl to not only show a positive reaction - in fact, she not only displayed a compatibility rating beyond an average passing grade but went on to display the single highest rate of synchronisation with an A.W.E. in the entire history of Wirbelwind's records; including the trained prototype pilots and regular soldiers out on the battlefields. Needless to say, Thessalia was immediately signed up for further A.W.E. training - at first during any free time away from compulsory schooling.

This training, however, did have a few effects upon the young girl - with dozens of scientists, engineers and trainers all expecting great things from her whilst at the same time having to deal with barely hidden jealousy from her brothers and an almost constantly absent father due to work, Thessalia had few people to whom she could turn to other than her mother who would always do her best to encourage her little girl. Over time and in such an environment, Thessalia soon started to adapt to her surrounding - she would constantly strive to not only meet but surpass any goals set, she would always try not her best but give it absolutely everything for every task she was given.

It was thanks to both her received training and her thusly honed abilities that Thessalia was accepted into Lunar Academy.

Personality: This character has been diagnosed with split-personality disorder, resulting in two wildly different states of mind:

Roman (Normal State): Under normal circumstances, Roman is an incredibly shy and quiet soul — anti-social to the extreme. Too much interaction scares him, and if tension mounts too high, he has been known to pass out. He prefers to keep to himself, finding a quiet corner in the room to be alone with his thoughts, or, more often, a good book — tomes of strategy and logic puzzles being his favorite. He is a generally nice and helpful person, however this aspect is normally clouded by his unwillingness to speak with others, and as a result, people often mistake him as rude and uncaring. Roman also has a mountain of hate reserved for his other personality, Jack, though he is also stricken with a severe case of envy, and, as such, he is completely addicted to it.
Jack (Altered State): When ever Jack gets into an A.W.E., any form of simulation that would emulate the experience, or just plain drunk, he enters this frame of mind. Unlike his normal self, this state completely lacks any and all of his social inhibitions to the point of not having any at all. His confidence spikes — though not to the point of stupidity — and he becomes unashamedly outgoing, albeit brash, abrasive, and sarcastic. He does not intend to be cruel, but he lacks both the ability to keep his true thoughts in his head — positive or negative — and the self restraint to keep his mouth shut. Jack, for the most part, is completely indifferent to the wants and needs of his other personality, Roman, and in general thinks of him as nothing more than a liability.

Bio: Spirit. The word brings to mind several thing: vitality, energy, and for the superstitious, ghosts and phantoms. That why, in the year 2544, it was the chosen by Maes Roman when it came time to name his company. Spirit originally began as a small business that specialized in generators. It wasn't long before Maes's genius brought forth the most powerful ones of the time, and with them, the company grew to gigantic proportions. By 2581, Spirit was a name known across all of the human settlements to be synonymous with generators. It was at that time that Maes finally stepped down, and handed the business off to his only son, Paul. Paul immediately took command, and with a fresh new mind in charge, began to alter the direction the company was taking. They had the means to produce massive sums of energy; Paul decided that they would put it to better use then just powering ships. Weapons. Paul considered the current technology in with energy weapons lackluster at best, crude at worst. However, the call of cash brought around the world best scientific minds, and it was only after a few years that Spirit began producing what it considered the evolution of combat.

At the same time, Paul's wife, Lily, had other ideas. She and the current head of an overseas company by the name of Knight had been enemies through college, and now that she was in power, she planed to use it to squash them flat. Knight specialized in sensor technology; Lily had Spirit begin producing stealth. It was in 2589 her plan seemed to succeed — Spirit's Clarke System has finally managed to bypass the Knight sensor net. This didn't last very long. Within half a year, Knight managed to pull ahead once again, embarrassing Spirit, and furthering the rivalry. This trend continued for several years, one besting the other, only to be shut down at their next meeting, until the year of 2597 — the year Spirit won the tech war. It was in the middle of this war, however, that Jack Roman was born.

For the most part, Jack seemed like a normal enough child. His parents loved him very much, and insured that he was provided with only the best. However, much to their dismay, they discovered a problem with him on his first day out at school. Jack refused to interact with the other children. He refused to talk to the teachers. Paul and Lily, worried, took Jack out of school, where he seemed to return to normal. Home-schooling seemed the only course of action that could be taken, and while there was a bit of trouble at first, eventually Jack took to it fairly well. After a few years of this, the next big event for Spirit took place: the purchase of a small English based company: Ghoul. With it came the child, Richard Williams. His parents were forced to move across the pond and take up residence in America, close to the Roman residence. Mr. and Mrs. Williams got along well with the Romans, and eventually, after hearing the concerns of Paul and Lily about their son, they decided to allow Richard to move in with the Romans to help with Jack. At first, Jack treated him the same way he treated everyone else: he remained distant and unresponsive. However, eventually Richard's personality won through, and the two became, while not friends, companions. Though his help, Paul and Lily were happy to see their son come out of his shell, even if only slightly.

Once the children turned thirteen, their respective parents decided that it was time to introduce them to the family business: A.W.E.s. Paul and Lily were nervous at first, but their fear evaporated the instant they suited up their son and set him loose. Jack's personality seemed to change; no longer was he quiet and submissive. He became incredibly outgoing and opinionated — something that was not lost on Richard. While the English boy normally took on the role of guidance counselor for Jack, his interaction with him did a complete one-eighty, as Jack now took to calling him a 'lackey' and bossing him around. After their first test session, Paul and Lily rushed to their son, only to find that their boy had reverted to his old self the instant he has left his machine. Worried, they hired the best psychologist they could, who informed them that their son had a case of split-personality disorder. The psychiatrist counseled Paul and Lily, telling them that there was nothing to be done, and that with some luck, the two personalities might merge to become one. Paul and Lily, ever hopeful, took to allowing the second personality to show itself at every occasion possible. Jack's test piloting sessions occurred ever more frequently. Jack even passed his aptitude test with near perfect marks — a feat shared with Richard.

Despite their best efforts, however, not only did this not work out the way that they had planned, the two personalities only seemed to grow more separate, even to the point of assigning themselves different names. With nothing to be done, after a serious discussion with their friends the Williams and the psychologist, both parents agreed that what would be best for Jack was sending him out into the world. After receiving an invitation, they decided upon sending Jack to a Lunar Academy; a military school and a place where he would be forced to interact with others his age, as well as allow him to pilot the machine he loved. Richard volunteered himself to accompany him, as he not only wanted to attend the school, but he also wished to be a pillar of stability for his companion in what was sure to be hard times. Plus, he had a score to settle with his other side — their mini-brawl record was tied at 47-47 — and this was the best way to do it. So, both children took the aptitude test, and passed with flying colors. A quick bag packing session later, Jack and Richard boarded a shuttle, and it was off to the moon.

Other: The watch on his wrist contains a personal Clarke System that at full charge, lasts fifteen seconds. He also tends to wear the sunglasses everywhere he goes — a trait he picked up from Richard. Unlike Richard's, however, they are not corrective, and Roman uses them to hide where he is looking as well as to prevent catching anyone's eye.

Armaments:

• Laser 'Revolver' - A standard laser handgun; it fires pulsed inferred bursts. The energy management of this gun allows for six high-powered shots to be rapidly fired before depletion. The gun has two methods of recharging: full and single. Once the battery is empty, a shorter, uninteruptable cooldown can be initiated (eight seconds), or single pulses can be charged (two seconds per pulse). The gun is also fairly quiet. <Free><1 MP>

> DiRE Magnum - The Laser 'Revolver' has been modified to accept and fire DiRE cartridges — diffuse reflection enforced, continuous deuterium fluoride laser bursts. The barrel of the gun separates and widens to allow an exceptionally high-powered gas laser to be fired that has been purposefully reflected inside firing chamber to be projected in an oval cone shape. The cone is roughly 65° wide, 40° tall, and extends six meters before losing power from refraction, making it ineffective. The continuous burst lasts for five seconds, giving it time to melt or vaporize objects caught in the cone. Three of these rounds are carried (one in the chamber, two spare stored in the right arm of the A.W.E.). <1 Point>

• EMP Bombs - Stored inside the left arm of the A.W.E. are a number of small, sticky bombs that produce a powerful, localized EMP in a three meter radius. These bombs can be fired from a projector located under the wrist of the left arm, though the range is fairly short. The bombs, before being primed by the A.W.E. can be chosen to have a timed detonation, or a remote one. The detonation range of the remote detonation is large at three kilometers. <1 Point><1 MP>

• HO10 System - The holographic overlay system, version ten, grants the A.W.E. the ability to project a hologram over itself that hides it from sight. While active, if the A.W.E. remains still, or keeps its movements relatively slow, it is completely invisible. While in motion, however, the outlines of the A.W.E. become a bit blurred, allowing detection by those with a keen eye. <1 Point><1 MP>

> HO10 Decoy - The HO10 System is capable of detaching its primary projector from the A.W.E. in the form of a small, floating, spherical drone. This drone has the ability to project a decoy of the A.W.E. it is linked to. The decoy is perfectly replicated, down to the last detail, and speaker included on the drone allows it to mimic sound to go with appearance. The drone is controlled via brain link with the pilot of the A.W.E., allowing a 'think it, and it will do it' style of remote control. While the drone is out, the main A.W.E. cannot use the HO10 System. The battery inside the drone lasts ten minutes of a full charge before needing to return to the A.W.E. for a resupply. <1 Point>

• Gravitational Equalizer - Built into the core of the A.W.E. where the shield would normally be is a gravity manipulator. When active, it allows the A.W.E. to freely reduce its weight — even to the point of weightlessness. Any additional items that were not assigned to the A.W.E. to begin with are not effected. The manipulator cannot be active while cloaked under the HO10 System, as the core lacks the output capability for both due to a potential overload. <1 Point><1 MP>

Special ability: Clarke System - This system is installed in the core of the A.W.E., and has one simple function: make the A.W.E. completely invisible to technology. The core of the A.W.E. emits a coating for the A.W.E. that blocks any form of artificial sensor, whether it be radar, heat detection, sonar, lidar — if it is something that requires the assistance of a computer program for the naked eye to see, this A.W.E. doesn't exist to it. Aside from the obvious benefits, this system also prevents automatic lock-ons (although constantly maintained manual lock-on still work due to the area being targeted, and not the A.W.E. itself), and prevents the activation of motion detectors, laser grids, patrol drones, and other forms of artificial security systems. The coating also muffles some of the quieter sounds the A.W.E. and its weapons generate, making footsteps and gunshots silent. Unfortunately, a shield cannot be implemented in any A.W.E. with this device because of the conflicting energy coating. <4 Points>

• Energy Mapping - The A.W.E. can find, calculate, and evaluate the energy levels of everything around it. This includes things like radiation, electromagnetism, thermal, and other forms of energy. These energy reading are then translated into a viewable map for the pilot to read, and some forms of energy — such as thermal, inferred, or ultraviolet — allow for different types of vision specifications. The closer the energy, the greater and more detailed the map. Strongest depictions are everything in a hundred meter radius, and useable mapping can be rendered from scans of up to three kilometers away. While the former can provide highly detailed schematics of buildings and it's inhabitants, the latter maps largely dictate terrain, though they can show where high concentrations of energy are located for the pilot to make note of. <1 Point>

At first glance, Richard is apathetic, sarcastic, and sometimes manipulative. He has a dry wit that seems present in all British people, and is quite snarky, despite his deadpan face. However, he is actually quite playful with an air of friendliness and amicability that lies beneath his snarky exterior. Able to bond with nearly anyone within a matter of moments, Richard is well known for his dry affability, and ability to remark on even the most dull things. Acting like Jack’s Counsellor, Richard seems to attempt to force the teen into the spotlight for his own good, although sometimes it seems as though he is simply doing it for his own amusement, despite supposedly being his ‘underling’. Usually calm, collected, and with a breezy charm, he does enjoy a good smoke once in a while, but can usually refrain from doing so.

Bio:
The son of the owner of ‘Ghoul’, Richard was present for all of his father’s worries, especially during the economic downfall during 2590. At the age of 8, he managed to help counsel his father, easing his worries with his words and cheery attitude. That was probably what stopped his father from committing suicide like a large amount of business owners. However, one company was still sitting high on the social ladder during this recession. The American A.W.E company, ‘Spirit’. Seeing the potential in ‘Ghoul’s energy siphon technology, the head of the company offered to drag the smaller English company out of debt, in exchange for becoming a subsidiary of ‘Spirit’. Faced with little other choice, Richard’s father accepted, and they came under the wing of ‘Spirit’.

There, Richard was introduced to the chairman of ‘Spirit’s son, Jack Roman. The same age, the two were often stuck together when their fathers were off discussing something, and the young Richard found the boy both interesting, and odd. He was quiet. Too quiet for a boy his age, and shied away from Richard. After many repeated attempts, the young English boy managed to get Jack to sit in the same room as him, starting to build a ‘friendship’ of sorts, like their fathers, although that was mostly just so that their work could continue without and hesitation.

After ‘Ghoul’ was purchased by the American ‘Spirit’ company 10 years ago, Richard has been stuck with Jack. So much so that the absence of one or the other is extremely strange, and will often be remarked upon. While ‘friends’ may not be the best word for the two, it nevertheless goes some way to describing the strange relationship they have with each other, like a counselor and his patient. Like Jack, Richard achieved a high compatibility score in his A.W.E examination, and so, being his only ‘friend’ went into the basic training provided by ‘Spirit’ with the introvert. Together, they trained, which was when he started to note down Jack’s rapid change in behavior. Where he had expected he himself to lead, Richard soon found Jack take a change of heart, and become and abusive leader in his own right, he himself demoted to a ‘lackey’ as he called it. Nevertheless, he found joy in competing with this ‘New Jack’ he dubbed ‘Jackarse’, and matches between them often ended with a full out brawl between the two in their training suits. The score remained even at 47-47 in their last brawl.

Despite their differences however, the two formed an extremely co-ordinated duo,who almost never needed to communicate to undergo their tactics, so it came as no surprise when they received news that they had been accepted to Lunar Academy, one of the most prestigious of A.W.E academies.

Other: Always seems to wear the dress shirt, vest and blue sunglasses. These glasses are actually corrective lenses, and can change colour according to Richard's whims. Has a strong South English accent (The sexy, posh one)
