I used to enjoy Elder Scrolls RP's, until I took an arrow to the knee.
But seriously, I'm a big Elder Scrolls fan. I'd have to research the Daedric princes a bit more, but I would totally be up for it.
Alright, odds are you've seen a thread with a similar premise to this one, but rest assured that mine is quite different. Also, I know this is a lot of text, but bear with me; I had a lot of spare time to make this with, so I decided to get into plenty of detail.
Since the release of Skyrim, people seem to have entirely forgotten about the wonderful province of Cyrodiil, and since there are some people who've not yet played Skyrim (myself included, sadly) I decided to stir this up by actually making an Elder Scrolls RP that takes place in Cyrodiil, since tons of people have played Oblivion as well as Skyrim. Now that I've told you everything you needed to know, time to get crackin' on the plot...
PLOT...
The sixteen realms of Oblivion have fallen into all-out war. Every Daedric Prince is an enemy to every other Prince, and when Daedric Princes go to war, what do they do? They pick out a mortal champion, of course! Even more peaceful Daedric Princes like Meridia are involved in this war, but every one has picked out one mortal champion from the Imperial Province of Cyrodiil, if only so that the victor may take Tamriel as their reward should any given Prince win this war. Each Champion fights on behalf of their Prince, and their soul is bound to their appropriate realm of Oblivion. Should the Champion die, he/she will return. This begs the question: how will this Great Daedric War unfold?
BEING A DAEDRIC CHAMPION...
I'm only accepting 17 (maybe 18 later on) players, myself included. Each player will have to pick one Daedric Prince to champion, and for the more prominent ones (such as Mehrunes Dagon, Sheogorath, or Azura) I will need a writing sample as well as the filled-out CS. Being a champion has quite a few benefits. For starters, your soul is bound to your Prince's realm of Oblivion, so should you die, just sit tight for a while as your soul goes through the Daedric cycle of reincarnation so you can get back to fighting in the name of your ruler. Secondly, every champion is able to summon a Daedra familiar in battle; the Daedra depends on who you fight for (i.e. Dremora for Mehrunes Dagon, Auroran for Meridia, Spider Daedra for Mephala) and last but not least, you have a few "special" powers that are directly influenced by the sphere of your respective Daedric Prince. For example, if you were the champion of Mehrunes Dagon, you would have highly destructive abilities, or fighting for Meridia would cause you to never tire out.
All that extra info...
If you're taking up the role of a Daedric champion (like I know you will; why else would you be here?) I expect you to at least know a fair bit of info about your Daedric Prince. Since Sheogorath and Jyggalag are the same person (assuming we're not going fully canonical with this; Shivering Isles expansion and all), I might, might let Jyggalag have a champion as well as Sheogorath, but I'll need one hell of a writing sample from you if you wanna fight for the Prince of Order. I'd like your champion to not only have powers inherent to your Prince, but I'd also like to see them act sorta like their leader. Imagine how Sheogorath's champion would act XD
As for the actual planes of Oblivion, I've decided we're going almost fully canonical; between the times of Oblivion and Skyrim, but not long after the former. That means there can be a Jyggalag champion, but really, who would want to fight on his side? For the sake of this RP, we're going to give Jyggalag his own plane of Oblivion, similar to how the Shivering Isles looks during the Greymarch (since it used to be Jyggalag's realm, it makes sense). Now for the final note. After we've got all the Daedric champions and this RP shows signs of really making it on RPG, I might allow one person to act as a champion for the Nine Divines, but this would not only annoy me but go a bit against the purpose of the RP, so I'll need one great writing sample and one great RPer for this, if I even decide to go through with it.
So, interest? Recommendations? Anything else that needs to be put out there? Lemme know!

I'm found at least four I'd be interested in serving.
Lets do this.
Excellent. Care to run those four by me while I stir up a CS?
Nocturnal, Molag Bal, Malacath, and Clavicus Vile. Theres others, but those are the most likely.
Interesting. CS time.

I'm letting you fill yours in first; unless you end up wanting Clavicus Vile, I'll be his vampiric champion.
In the event that you do want Vile, however, I'll happily serve Boethia.
By all means, go ahead. I've got lots of good choices. You are the maker of the thread, anyway.
