Duro Town, a lively and small settlement compared to the larger towns was filled with many travelers and adventurers, sometimes the odd bandit group would wander in, mainly to stay for night. Most people know this town by the Mayor, and his violent Bodyguard, Alka Saika, The Beast Scourge of the Saika Clan. His rage would become the talk of the town when someone tried to challenge the Mayor, a challenge issued by the Mayor himself, offering a large lump of gold(over 10,000 Eyos worth of gold). Aside from this the Town was a popular gambler's den as well.

A young man with short, spiked hair walked through the gates, a much larger man behind, and another, shorter man. The young man in question was the young clanless Bushido Warrior, Shio Fudamara, Part of the Clanless groups that are spread out across Echigo. Shio was a talented Warrior, preferring the use of his Golden Katana, "Fortune's Favourite" a seemingly indestructible Blade and the only keepsake from his parents. The two other men were Bohma and Gohma, brothers and freinds to Shio. they had set forth on an adventure, an adventure of thrills and wealth or they hoped so, but they have found that this journey of theirs is a tough and harrowing one, especially with no destination or goal.

"You see that restaurant?...let's grab a bite to eat yeah?" Bohma retorted, his eyes bigger than his stomach. "Geez brother, don't think with your stomach all the god damn time!" Gohma scolded him. "Actually I'm hungry too... we might as well, after all, I'll need my strength to beat Alka." Shio proclaimed, taken out a flyer from his pocket and giving it to Gohma. "OOOH! the prize is definitely grand! but are you sure this a good idea boss?" Shio just smirked, giving Gohma a thumbs up.

The restaurant was near empty, aside from a few shady looking characters. Shio payed no mind to them, but a young girl did catch his eye, looking at her before sitting down. "Who was that?"

Kagome silently just sat there, she travelled with someone, he seemed to be a nice person. Silently she felt people watch her she felt uncomfortable, she silently tried not to look at the boy, she watched him from a reflection. Her memories came rushing into her mind. Kaname silently watched Kagome, he had found her alone coming towards this village, he could not leave her, she looked lost. He noticed that she was lost in thought and walked off getting her some food.

Kagome remembered, that day....that day where that man found her. The devil had found her. Silently she ran, she tried to run as fast as she could, her little legs were not as fast enough his demonic henchmen were chasing her. She panted Hard falling into the snow, she watched the snow with her golden eyes crying a little in pain, she wiped her tears away turning to the man that tried to grab her, she tried to push him away with her tiny hands and a big force pushed him. She heard the man scream, her golden eyes looked around the man was pushed hard through a sharp iceicle, blood was spilled everywhere. She let out a scream in shock and in fear, she noticed another man walk towards her, he was calling her his little girl.

Kagome snapped out of it, she looked around quietly and noticed Kaname walk back to her, she silently thanked him for the food, she silently watched her hands and began to eat. She pulled her cloak hood up, she looked around and noticed the boy that was looking at her she quickly looked away avoiding his gaze. She sighed to herself and apologized to Kaname for wasting his money. Kaname smiled at her not minding it at all "ah its fine....its not safe for a girl to be all alone". She sighed looking at the ground nodding she tried not to apologize again, she smiled a little at the man he seemed really nice.

Zubasa silently sighed to himself, he noticed a man looking as if he was looking for someone, he guessed that the man was someones henchmen, Zubasa was looking for someone named Shiona, he had decided to travel around with him along with Tyson. He walked into a resturant looking around until he noticed Shio.

"Lets see!...Hows about a BBQ?...do we even have enough?" asked Bohma looking through the menu, drooling like a beast that had been starved. Shio payed no attention to Bohma's appetite. His mind wandered to who the girl was. He wasn't one for thinking on superstition, but he felt like that he would see her again. "Bohma! our eyons don't grow on trees...but a BBQ does have a lot of grub... what do you think boss?...boss?" Shio turned to his friend Gohma, in a daydream. "Wha?- oh...sure, I don't mind" Shio replied half interested, half not caring. Gohma turned to his brother with a puzzled look. The Waitress took their order, and soon came back with sake. "So what's the plan? are you going to challenge him then have us join you? oohohoh! We could distract him!" Shio just gave out a slight snigger, a smirk escaping from his mouth. "No...I plan on fighting him by myself, it's a challenge I've been excited for some time, so no, this will be a fair fight"

"You serious boss?...then why the hell are WE here!?!?" Bohma was busy stuffing his face with the cooked meat that laid out before. Shio nodded. "It's something I have to do myself...I challenge that I must face to see if I've become stronger in my training." Shio replied with a smile. "Don't worry, I managed to get this bounty...seems like a group of bandits are causing some trouble..you will get your action"

Kagome silently watched Shio, she was getting angry. That man was still looking at her, she silently realised that the search party were close, she quickly stood up feeling her heart pound. She did not want to go back to that placr, she was forced to be with someone whom she did not love, she was just being used for her power, she felt so unloved at that place, everyone just treated her as if she was someone higher than them, her father struck fear in everyone and thats why everyone were so afraid of her, it was because of her father. She silently frowned to herself and had always kept her sword hidden and wrapped in a cloth, she hoped that it would not glow, all she knew that the sword glew alot around her father because of his Oni blood. She noticed Kaname watching her sword, she quickly dtood up and began to walk off, Kaname grabbed her arm softly, she punched him angrily and glared at him. She noticed something odd about this guy, he was breathing heavily and talking to himself as of he was trying to calm himself down. She tilted her head a little wondering why this guy was acting so weird, she huffed a little and began to walk out of the resturant.

Zubasa bumped into a girl, he noticed Kaname and found him looking very angry, Kaname stood up walking after Kagome, he grabbed her by the hair "how dare you slap me bitch?!!". Kagome winced noticing this mans instant personality change, she was freaked out by this man, she pulled her sword out of the cloth and pointed it at him, Kaname pointed his sword at her, the swords apperance slowly began to change which meant that Kanames going to change. Kaname winced trying to calm down. Zubasa walked to Shio "Shio! theres trouble outside! i think it has something to do with an Akuma or an Oni".

Shio took another piece of BBQ Pork ribs, taking a hefty bite while the brothers dug in like starving wolves and shoved every edible piece of food into their mouth. Shio shook his head with a faint smile."You guys are need to slow down or else you'll get indigestion...just slow down, okay?" The brothers looked at each other, then nodded, their mouths full all the time. "After this meal we will look for an inn available and stay the night, maybe spend a couple of days training, then challenge that guy to a fight...sound good?" after finishing his piece, Shio took a sip from his Sake cup. The brothers agreed, focusing on the food.

That's when a man ran in, Shio was surprised, it was an old friend. Zubasa and Shio were good friends a while go, childhood friends even more. It had been a few months sinc their last sparring match resulted in a tie between.

"Zubasa? what are?" it was then His friend told him of some trouble outside, something to do with Onis. " Are you serious?...their clan were wiped out over 20 years ago?...forget that lets go! you guys, Gohma, Bohma? stay here, I got this" Shio reassured Gohma and Bohma, and headed out with Zubasa. It was then he noticed the young girl and man, the same girl he had an eye on. She was rather beautiful now that he had a better glance at her. He took Fortune's Favourite and placed by the neck of Kaname. "I would really think about this friend....you don't want this to end badly right?" He exclaimed to Kaname.

Kagome noticed a sword next to Kanames neck, she silently watched Shio with her golden eyes, she clashed her sword with Kanames which caused a big impact. Her sword of light glowed as it clashed next to Kanames, Kaname darkly watched Shio, he then looked at Kagome noticing her sword, he winced as thier swords clashed, there was something weird about this girl. Kagome silently watched Kaname "ah so your not an Oni....your part Akuma....but a quarter Oni....interesting...". Kaname watched her quietly, he watched her sword, she looked alot like someone, his eyes widened realising who she looked like "you! your fath-". Kagomes expression darkened, she felt her Oni blood bpil, she attacked Kaname with ice in order to stop him, she did not want him to reveal who her father was. She sighed softly watching the ice that surrounded Kaname, she noticed that the ice began to melt.

Kaname turned the ice into water and watched Kagome, he sighed folding his arms "looks like theres a readon why your not withthat person right?". Kagome nodded quietly, she then looked at Shio wondering why he butted in, she wrapped the cloth around her sword and walked back inside, Kaname watched Shio "hm...? and why are you here?". He walked inside following Kagome waiting for an explanation.

Zubasa noticed Kagome, she sure wasa beauty, he had noticed her sword, he had noticed the sword glowing, it had stoped glowing after she wrapped it in cloth, he did find the girl weird. Silently he walked to Shiona "what happened?".
