The episodes don't focus on The Ripper Murders, but rather the attempts by the police force to stop various crimes and keep the streets of Whitechapel safe.

If you're British (like Drago) all 8 episodes of the first season have been aired on BBC 1.
If you're American and get BBC America on your cable service provider, you can watch it OD (I.E. On TWC, you can watch the episodes on Entertainment On Demand by selecting BBC America and choosing Ripper Street).
