It was a warm, sunny day as usual in Ponyville. Ponies were going to and fro, the birds sang in the trees, everything was peaceful. Everything was as it should be, there wasn't any problems, everypony was getting along, even some adorable little fillies were galloping around and doing small deeds, the day truly was... Perfect.

A lone pegasus flew through the sky, a forehoof on his hat to keep it from blowing away in the wind, his black&yellow mane sticking out the front and was almost in his eyes, but it was kept trimmed just enough so that didn't happen. He wore a white vest, which seemed to have more than a few stains, some being dirt, some being oddly Azure or Honeydew colored. But the most noticeable thing about him was none of this, it was his wings. They were made of steel, and the sun reflected off of them. The front of each metallic wing was sharpened, not to a dramatic extent, but you could cut someponies' mane with it, or if you were the violent type, slash somepony with them... Although the wings were perfectly clean, so you wouldn't imagine he might've 'encountered' anypony with them.

"It's been a long trip," He groaned, feeling the slightest bit dizzy. His decent began as he approached the town of Ponyville. "I was told there was a real good boutique around here that'd i'd probably be able to get a new vest at... I can't believe this got trashed..." He said, sighing. If this pony didn't like one thing in Equestria, it was wearing a dirty vest. How was he supposed to attract the mares if he looked like a pig pen? He couldn't! He landed in front of what seemed like a Train Station, looking around with a puzzled look. "Great, should'a asked what this place looked like." He grumbled, trotting forward. He had no idea where he was going except that there were buildings ahead. It wasn't long before he swore he heard bouncing and turned his head, noticing a Pink Mare bouncing up and down happily beside him. He wasn't one for Earth Ponies, so he didn't really think anything of her. "Can i help you-" he paused, shaking his head. "Actually, can you help me?" He asked, starring at her for several seconds, until her attention shot in his direction.

"Oh! Hi!" She said, did she even notice she was beside him until now? Probably not. "I've never seen you around! You lost? What'cha need?!" She asked happily, and before the pegasus could open his mouth she spoke again. "Oh, right! I'm Pinkie Pie! I'm the most partying pony in Ponyville!"

The pegasus took a second to respond, unsure if she was done. "... Riiight. Name's Gamble." He said, eyeing her from head to hoof. "I was told there was a boutique in this little town, I really need a new vest, stat." Gamble watched as Pinkie Pie started hopping over him, it was quite the feat, she must have a lot of leg power, he figured. "Boutique!? That'd be Rarity's! She's the best in ALL of Equestria!" She squeaked, her eyes suddenly widening and she froze in mid-air, causing Gamble to actually stop and stare in confusion. "... Are you floating-" "I've gotta' go! I completely forgot about meeting up with Twilight!" She said hastily, landing on the ground and pointing off into the distance. "Rarity's is over there! Big fancy place! I've gotta go!" She squealed, galloping off.

Gamble shrugged. "Mares." He said flatly, chuckling to himself and looking in the direction she had pointed him too. "Big fancy place..." He muttered, opening his wings and flying off in said direction.

Two minutes later...

Gamble looked around, eyeing each house. "Fancy, fancy, fancy..." He repeated, until he saw a rather beautiful looking building and came to a halt in the air. "That has to be it, i mean, that looks like it should be in Canterlot." He said to himself, quickly flying up to the door and landing. He put a hoof over his mouth as he coughed, then straitened his vest. "Hope this is the place..." He knocked on the door, unsure of what to expect from a backwater town like this. He should've went to Manehatten, he was more adjusted to big cities...
