Aliens Exist: Intelligence Conspiracy (High casual OOC)

Sol system, the solar system in which humans live on their planet, called Earth, is one of roughly 200 billion stars within the vast 100-lightyear disk which makes up the Milky Way Galaxy. With over 26,000 similar stars within a 350 lightyear radius capable of supporting planets with life, so far humans have not discovered any extraterrestrial life. How could humans be alone with so many suitable stars in the nearby proximity?

The answer is simple: They aren't.

So then, why has alien life not been discovered?

Perhaps because... the aliens do not wish to make their existence known to humanity. At least... not yet.

However, there are some humans who are aware of the existence of aliens, devoting their lives to studying the extraterrestrial life forms as well as keeping their existence secret from humanity as a whole. And there are aliens living among humans, concealed and disguised so as to appear as though they belong.

Since the Roswell Incident of 1947, when a Centaurian scout saucer crashed in the United States of America after investigating a radio transmission that had been broadcast by Nazi Germany during World War II, alien activity on Earth has increased, but at a much more covert level.

Whether you are a human agent tasked to research aliens, preserving the secret of their existence, an alien agent working on the planet Sol III, or just an unfortunate civilian who gets involved with things beyond your comprehension... you are one of the few people living on Earth who is aware of alien life and civilization.

Humans make up the majority of Earth. There are several human agencies devoted to researching and concealing the presence of alien life forms, many with different motives.

Centaurians are your typical bug-eyed aliens who use flying saucer-shaped UFOs and abduct people and livestock. Their primary purpose is some form of secret research, but their research methods are extremely unethical.

Achenarans look indistinguishable from humans, so they are able to walk among human society without requiring a disguise. They have tasked themselves as a sort of custodian role over humanity, protecting them from the outside influence of other alien races.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Xeno-Files Division
Allegiance: Unites States of America
The FBI is the federal law enforcement and investigation bureau of the United States of America. The Xeno-Files division of the FBI is tasked with investigating unusual and unexplained activity, which often involves investigations into UFO sightings and other alien activity. FBI agents, however, are given this information on a need to know basis, and Xeno-Files agents are in general ignorant to the existence of aliens. Reports of UFO activity generated by FBI agents are immediately classified higher than their pay grade, and other agencies are sent in to perform a cover-up.

Xeno-Command (X-Com)
Allegiance: Neutral
Xeno-Command is a mercenary organization devoted to research and application of alien weapons technology, salvaged mostly from UFO crash sites. Xeno-Command's primary objective is to provide some level of defense against possible alien aggression, so these mercenaries consider aliens to be more of a threat than a benefit. Xeno-Command weapons and defensive technology is almost never released to human governments, both out of fear of large-scale alien reprisals over stealing their technology, and because of the fact that doing so would make the public aware of the existence of aliens, as their technology is obviously not of human origin.

Men in Black (MIB)
Allegiance: Neutral
The Men in Black are the primary organization tasked with monitoring, licensing, and policing alien activity on the planet Earth. They are often equipped with weapons technology, usually slightly more advanced than those of X-Com due to the fact that they are either loaned to the humans or confiscated from rogue aliens. If an alien government wishes to interact with humanity on any level, they generally work with the Men in Black, who are much more cooperative than many of the other agencies.

Centaurian Science Bureau
Allegiance: Centaurian Technocracy
Of all the aliens operating on Earth, none have been spotted by the natives more often than the Centaurians have. Centaurians abduct humans, experiment on them, and wipe their memories before returning them to their homes. They also abduct and mutilate livestock, and the gravity drive of their scout saucers frequently causes crop circles in corn fields. Centaurian activities on Earth have become less intrusive lately, however, due to the fear of repercussions from the Achenaran Imperium.

Achenaran Intelligence Service (AIS)
Allegiance: Achenaran Imperium
The Achenaran Intelligence Service is the primary intelligence collection agency of the Achenaran Imperium. AIS is much more effective at concealing their existence and activities from humanity, and enforces a "No-Interference" policy both upon itself and upon all other aliens operating on Earth. That is to say, aliens may potentially visit and interact with humanity, but interfering with the development of human society and technology is strictly forbidden in accordance with the Second Galactic Law. Only MIB is aware of AIS, despite the fact that AIS activities are in some ways more widespread than those of MIB.

I've got a few ideas for characters rattling around my head, but I can see an issue arising out of what's been given of the plot; a distinct lack of focus. This looks like the kind of thing where we'd get started, get us all introduced, then everyone would just go "what now?" Sure the premise is cool. But I hope you have a plot.

It might be a little sandboxy at times, but I'm pretty good at coming up with plots that tailor to the characters present. And if anyone wants to have their own sub-plots, that's fine too. But yeah... I can figure some things out, for sure. Most people who've run in my RPs for an extended time will attest that I do plots good.
