The Darkness Looming OOC. (Dragon Age/Mass Effect Crossover)

    The Idea
The idea is to take the races and goverment format and place it in the Dragon age Era, taking away spaceships, mass relays, biotics, and guns. All technology is medival. Biotics are replaced with magic. The Omi-tools and medi-gel no longer exist, and the only remnants of the Mass effect universe are the people, planets, and ancients.<(Protheans and Reapers) Factions from both universes will still exist, like the Chantry and the Spectres. This will all be occuring on a single planet, one large enough to have a large number of every species, the planets will be continents now that house large Cities and Keeps, this will allow for Seafaring to be similar to Spacefaring.
    ----
    The Plot
The Plot will run similar to the Mass Effect Game Series, at first a single threat disguised as a common one will arise, then a time of silence. Now due to the way Mass Effect 2 works, I will be developing a story for this period while the first is going on. Then lastly the Archdemon will arise again and flood the planets with Darkspawn, but will also create a new class of Darkspawn, The Reapers.<They will not look like large squid-things like in Mass Effect.)
    ----
    The Conduits
Conduits are bodies or forms crafted from a unqiue material that holds these amazing crystals that allow specialized mages called Auramancers place newly created Auras into the bodies to give them a power source, the Auramancer is them connected to, and able to control, the Conduits he/she makes. They have no free will, no individual thoughts, no consciousness, but the Auras that the crystal hold are blank, and empty, this both draws demons and Spirits, and allows them a way into the mortal plain from the Fade, but they have little power inside the Conduits, for it works much like a suit, they simple gain the ability to be within and percieve the mortal plain. They are only as dangerous as the bodies they take.
    ----
    The Turians
The Turians are the most Millitary-based race of them all, their Capital City, Palaven, is the strongest held Keep in land. They are without a doubt the largest army and have the highest number of Honored Knights. They are at piece with all races, but some of this peace is simply to prevent all out war. The Turians have had a rough history, experiencing several wars that had quite a toll on the Turians, such as the Krogan Rebellions. They have become renowed Mercenaries, and even more renowned Soldiers. They are held in high regards as Peace keepers and Tacticians. The Turians do not worship gods, or goddesses, or even worships totems, but they believe in spirits of groups, a spirit may be of that of a military unit, or town, and they know it will not affect their world, but they will pray to them. If a military grunt has lost his faith in his unit, he will pray to the spirit of the unit to regain his faith.
    ----
    The Quarians
The Quarians are a talented race, having created the first group of Conduits. They have very weak immune systems and typically house themselves in tightly sewn cloth suits and are them covered with full armor, while this is not entirely effective the Quarians have also learned and Codexed a large number of Herbal remedies and mixtures that help prevent diseases and infections. They all have a deep, locked-up talent for Auramancy, which is what they use to create their Conduits. They roam across the land in a massive seafaring fleet, dubbed the Migrant Fleet, this is due to the loss of their homeland Rannoch, which was taken by the Geth. The Quarians are not religious towards a deity or spirit, but to their ancestors memory and knowledge, which they had hoped to preserve and expand, but they lost such information during the Geth Rebellion.
    ----
    The Geth
The Geth are the creations of the Quarians, the first of the Conduits to gain free will through a spirit. When the first started to ask questions of it's being, the Quarians attempted to silence it, but the rest began to gain free will aswell, thus sparking a war between the two, and alas the Geth won, taking Rannoch and forcing the Quarians out. Oddly enough though the Geth that didn't have spirits within them were able to attract Auramancers, which in turn were able to use their craft and create more Geth.
    ----
    The Asari
The Asari are a mono-gender species which all appear female. They have extremely long lifespans and are all strongly connected to Magic. They are the only race to have Mages governed by their own race, this is due to the Circles fear. The Circle is concerned that if they try to hinder the Asari race by containing all of them, the Asari would revolt and destroy the Circle. The Asari have the unique ability to 'meld' with any race to produce an offspring. Though many think the offspring is of mixed DNA and Species, it is always one hundred percent Asari. The Asari are a religious people believing that everything is connected to a mass consiousness. They believe, not in reincarnation, but that when one dies the spirit enters the consciousness.
    ----
    The Salarians
The Salarians are an extremely intelligent species that are masters of agility and the Alchemial. They live shorter then most races, but accomplish much due to their brain processing speed and overall ability to quickly get things done. They have a very odd manner of speech that tends to miss the simpler words such as "a" and "the", but they explain more complicated things so efficentally. They have a tendency to see others as dull witted and this leaves them as a sort of outcast among the battle born. Their females rise high into the politcial ladder and their males use their intelligence in combat. They are not religious as a race, but a seperate small group, that of which the council has deemed a cult, worships a Goddess, and another ideal among Salarians is that of a Wheel of Life which is likened to Hinduism.
    ----
    The Drell
The Drell are very talented in the martial arts, using their slim bodies and agile frames to manauver quickly around hostiles and dispatch them with ease, but they also have tight holds on marksmenship and the arcane arts. They are a very religious people and believe that there is a soul seperate from their body, this leads to a high number of monks, and other religious caste memebers. They have three major Gods.
    ----
    The Krogan
Brutes, monsters, masters of the Headbutt. These are titles given to the massive Reptiles called Krogan, they are a raced made of war, all their lives it was kill or be killed. Their is little they haven't seen, and even less they haven't killed. They are very straight forward in every way, but this is seen mostly on the battlefield, if they can't stab it, they will punch it. They have an undieing hatred for the Turians and Salarians for what they did to their people during the Krogan Rebellions. The Turians combated the Krogan, but were losing so they imployed the help of the Salarians. The Salarians created an Alchemical poison that would turn into a disease, they called it the Genophage. The Krogan do not live like many other races, they set up clans, and each clan is seperate from the rest, housing and governing themselves. The Krogan are not religious in large way, but they do have a place called the Hollows where they place the skulls of their ancestors to remind them of where they came from and where they go.
    ----
    The Batarians
The Batarians are a cruel race, slavers and drug runners with no care of what others think. They are quite hostile and neglectant of other species such as the Humans and the Asari, but they are willing to work with them on some regards, such as the Blue Suns Mercenary group. They do not have a religion it appears, but some have noted that they do believe in an afterlife and some have been shown to note that they use ancient text as guidance.
    ----
    The Volus
The Volus, although small and round, are quite a powerful race, they are masters of the trade and they make their place in society as merchants, estate managers, and supervisors for commerce. They are not physically adept like the other races, but they do have individuals who aspire to train themselves for combat.
    ----
    The Vorcha
The Vorcha are a monsterous race of demon-looking, bipedal, clawed, fanged people. They have no religion, no magical talents, and a shortlifespan. Vorcha are also quite dim, not being the smartest of races, but this is all made up with their reproduction rate, savagery, and biochemistry. They are like an infestation, once a few settle in, you have dozens. They have a unique gene system that allows them to quickly adapt to their envoirment. This makes them, alongside theirlifespan and large numbers, the prime force of Mercenaries.
    ----
All major cities, and locations will be created in IC as the story progresses, flora and Fauna will be researched when their need arises.

    Name: Tiani Sefri

    Age: 103

    Race: Asari

Personality: Tiani is motivated by honor and thus respects those who possess it immensely. Honorable herself, she will never shy away from a duel when requested or otherwise act in a manner she deems dishonorable. To that end, she will not shy away from speaking her mind and letting her feelings on cowards or lesser beings. Tiani has no sense of humor and finds it absolutely aggravating to associate with those who constantly try to make light of situations.

    Appearance:

Weapons: Unlike traditional Asari, Tiani's weapon isn't a commanding of magical spells. Rather, she uses her magic to take the form of magically-enhanced blades. Typically the blade in her right hand, her dominant hand, is enhanced with ice while the blade in her left has fire. She has been trying to learn other ways to utilize her magic. For cases when her magic is ineffective, she carries a single sword with a thin blade. It has, however, rarely been used.

Equipment: Light, purple armor. A single blade at the hip. A supply of vials for a quick, short magical enhancement (used for emergencies).

    Spells: Flame Weapons, Frost Weapons

Bio: As a youth (relative to human ages) Tiani studied as a mage but soon found their doddering and archaic ways of study to be ineffective. This, in turn, led to Tiani barely grasping core concepts of the magical arts and making her somewhat of a laughingstock among her peers. Not wanting to subject herself to jeers and finding no solace in study, Tiani opted to leave the mage way behind in order to broaden her world view and find something more exciting to learn from. The world for an unskilled Asari was anything but kind, beasts in the wild hounded her to no end and Tiani had no reliable method of taking care of them. As she was exploring a forest, she was attacked and saved by a wandering company of sell swords.

Tiani was in awe of their ability with traditional weapons and begged for them to instruct her. Unfortunately she was as gifted with weapons as she was with magic. While the sell swords made a living, Tiani stayed behind with the caravan and devoted herself to her training. With helpful advice from the captain, Tiani combined her limited knowledge with weapons and magic and soon she was able to participate in battle with her magical blades. Since departing from the company on less than amicable terms, Tiani has continued her travels offering assistance where she could.

How dreamlike to see my x-sisters, outside the context of a Papa Song dome. They sang Papa Song’s Psalm, over and over; background hydraulics underbassed that sickening melody. But how jubilant they sounded! Their Investment was paid off. The voyage to Hawaii was under way, and their new life on Xultation would shortly begin... Watching them from the hangway, I envied their certainty about the future.

    Name: M0N0-482

    Age: 205

    Race: Geth

Personality: Mono's personality is currently void as of today, but slowly over the time it has been given, it has easily been able to think about most of the things it does more then his fellow Geth. It doesn't follow by any code of honor and doesn't understand such a thing for mortals. Everything is logic for it. Mortals are predictable. They are mortal after all. But they have a purpose. As long as they don't view it as violent and ultimately a warmachine that will kill them, it will be free to trade. It never wanted to do such a thing, but to survive, it needed to have a power source and supplies. Its voice can be identified as male and often will be called "he".

Appearance: Appearance of a standard geth at first look, but if you look closer, his main eye is cracked. Multiple battle scars running along his rocky 'armor' down to his feet and up to his neck and eye, and he is disconnected from the Geth consensus. His platform emits a light purple glow.

Weapons: A crossbow that has been with him for more then a while, he has tended to it more then himself, and ultimately it has a pristine appearence. A platinum refined crossbow, enchanted with an electrofire rune, black leather over most of it and the essential parts being platinum, it has been his friend for more then a few years.

Equipment: A pack that contains enough of repair parts for his crossbow and a quiver of arrows. He carries some amount of crystals to give him different properties in battle. He carries nothing else.

    Spells: [N/A]

Bio: Mono participated in the war with his people and his makers. He was one of the few models to be nearly completely loyal to the end until the act of the Sentient. The Sentient was the first one to question its masters, and the Sentient has never been heard of since. Mono had been completely loyal until his makers started wiping them out. Even Mono, being loyal and unquestioning, was thrust into multiple situations where it was be or be killed. Often he was never the killer and one of his fellow rebelling Geth was. Until the act of the 'PURGE', an event that followed his ultimate betrayal of his makers and leading a small part of the attacks against them. The PURGE was an event where all his fellow Geth were killed, along with some of the makers that rebelled and helped them. Since Rannoch was taken, he was travelling along most routes that mortals take and was attacked more then once for reasons unknown. He has been alone for more then a century, discovering ruins and trying to discover the Older Kind's civilization. The Older Kind (to him and his entries) was a race of golems which he believed rebelled against their creators long in the past. Over millennium ago. It was documented as the moment that the race was killed off. It may just be the beliefs of the Geth as he has been traveling, but it may be true. Either way, it depends on what you believe.

    Misc: {The Older Kind? Yeah, just added it as a twist. It may be real or not depending on you, its just what Mono believes in.}

Dark, I just want to add, the Geth are essientially a cross, being 90% Geth, but being made of the same Material Dragon Age Golems are, stone and crystal. He is unable to wear armor, but his natural stone form is stronger then it appears, due to the type of stone it is, and due to the magical binding process of an Aura into said Crystals.

Hopefully I don't go over-board with anything =3 And hopefully Customized spells aren't a problem, cause honestly, The selection available for Shape shifters was paltry in variety DX

    Name: Panji Laraku & Hima

    Age: 35 & 2

    Race: Human & Dragon

Personality: Panji is the very definition of Easy going, always with a slightly dumb smile on his face, although contradictory to his actual intelligence. While out-wardly he displays himself as simple and foolishly relaxed, within he is Fiercly intelligent, Highly Disciplined, and very quickly analyzes and forms descisions and plans on situations he gets into. He is extremely tolerant of others and very understanding of extenuating circumstances, with very few triggers that would make him 'want' to kill someone.

Hima on the other hand, despite being quite young, Is a very prideful little dragon, and though he is small, fragile, and unlikely to survive on his own, is quick to anger when direspected and frequently scolds Panji for being too easy going.

Appearance: He stands at about 6'2", He has a fair size to his body, but his musculature is thoroughly Toned and trained. Thus far he wears only his Wraps, Beads, and Pants, along with a waist pack to contain needed supplies.

Hima is a nigh adorable little dragon, barely the size of a small cat currently and frequently spending his time on Panji's shoulder, or hiding in his baggy pant-leg or waist pack when he needs to avoid beind seen or 'stay out of the way'. Though he is young, small, and unlikely to survive on his own in this land, He still wicked sharp little claws and teeth, Sharp scale formations on his tail [that can be relaxed to avoid cutting], though it's unknown if he can breath flame or not, or something else.

Weapons: Currently, Bare Fists, well, Magic enhanced Fists anyway XD, you 'could' potentially count the booze in a way.

Equipment: Medium Jug of Booze, Scrounged up Cash, Medical Poultices, Spare slabs of Meat, Teaching Scrolls.

    Spells:
Rahasyavadi senani [Mystic Fighter][Passive and Active Effects]
    Paramatma Silda [Divine Shield]
    Rahasyamaya [Arcane Bolt]
    Prthvī patakha [Earth Cracker]
    Bhavya muṭṭhī [Grand Fist]
Kriyāśīla karanā [Energize][Passive and Active Effects]
    Barsṭa śōdhana [Cleansing Burst]
Vulpha kē pahalū [Aspect of Wolf]
    Ajagara tvacā [Dragon Skin][Passive]
Lau kī sānsa [Breath of Fire][NOT dragon breath =P][Requires Booze]

Bio: Panji Laraku is a Senior Monk of a Certain Unnamed Temple, that wishes to remain secluded and secret, Who's location is just as unknown, and he proves perfectly unwilling to share such information with anyone yet. This Temple is hidden deep within a Certain Mountain, and near this temple lies a small and equally secluded dragon's nest, between which a nice mutual peace has been maintained. A long story short, He has an endlessly thirst for knowledge, learning, and experience, and has reached the limit of his teachings currently possible at the temple, and chose to set out into the world.

His timing was as perfect as could be, The eggs belonging 'father' of the Small Dragon's nest residing in the same mountain as his Temple, had recently hatched [recently being a relative term as years can be recent to a dragon], and several of the little dragon's thoroughly desired to be the explorative energetic children that most young creatures try to be. As fate would have it, Panji had a fascination with nearly all things, dragon's included, and very frequently would visit this nest to learn what he could, and developed what one could call a 'friendship' with some of the young dragon's present, though not an entirely accurate description.

To simplify the details, He was entrusted with one of the hatchlings who had a particularly troublesome desire to wander about and get into trouble. It was both a sign of trust and a Test to see if he could be considered worthy of calling a dragon his companion. With Little Hemi riding on his shoulder he set out into the world with a fair bit of supplies, and began what was expected to be a vast journey of enlightening experiences and Strengthening Hard-ships to come.

    Misc:

Even without magical assistence he is a capable and agile fist fighter, Though he couldn't do something liiiike, beat down a Krogan toe to toe, He could likely out-manuever one, and could probably take on a couple of bandits by hand.

Also to clarify a little something that I anticipate coming into question eventually regardless ^.^ The Dragon Skin passive, Is a reactive inherent defense granted by being 'close' to a dragon, and it's capabilities depend on the dragon in question. In his case, It activates in cold environments, or when struck with Ice spells, and his skin becomes scale temporarily to resist the Cold and Increase Defense. It does not activate for things like lightning, or blades, or arrows, and so on. It's also the main reason he's never worried about even having a shirt, much less a Winter Cloak XD
