General Concept:
-Year is 2170
-Cybernetics and robotic have become common and mundane; seeing a Cyborg or even a Robot with Artificial Intelligence is just another Tuesday.
-Having plateaued with technological advances that began to put their focus on Space and what is out there. Building a super satellite that relays a recurring message out into space in all directions as the earth spins.
-Five years later and the Earth received a response, though not the one they were hoping to get. A gigantic spaceship entered our atmosphere in southern Manitoba, Canada just a few hundred miles from the US border.
-A couple weeks went by with no activity from the spaceship. Crowds of curious onlookers came to await interaction with these galactic mysteries.
-As we tried to make contact with the spacecraft a large 'pod' dislodged from the mothership and fell to the Earth with a great crash. Looking on curiously a large port opened on its side and from that pod came an out pour of creatures of varied size and shape though all grim and grotesque.
-With the release of the beasts the pod lit up and gave out a strange pulse which was soon to be discovered that it was a type of barrier that once it reached its full radius it began to crystallize the air until it formed a several hundred yard barrier that seemed to withstand any blow the world threw at it. The barrier also cut off any communication between the inside and the outside world.
-The People stuck inside the barrier (That survived the waves of creatures) took refuge within hidden caves and underground bunkers. The people began to scavenge technology and anything they could get their hands on and the engineers and scientists that remained worked together to build special weapons and armor to combat these creatures unleashed to eradicate the populace while the main ship began to drill into the Earth to harvest rare materials near the core that once taken the Earth would stop its rotation and kill the Earth.
-The weapons that had to be made were mainly made of condensed energy, the creatures having such thick hides that normal guns and blades couldn't puncture. (That's right, Motherfucking Lightsabers and Energy Guns)
-Upon killing one of the creatures they began an autopsy that brought to light a glimpse of hope. On the creatures brain was a small chip that upon further research on the corpse was a 'Kill switch' that enabled the Aliens to terminate any creature they wished as an insurance policy that their own plan wouldn't back fire on them while also making sure the beasts wouldn't hinder their excavation work.
-The groups began to theorize that the Ark (The pod was affectionately named the Ark for its resemblance to Noah's Ark) had a control board within it that controlled the barriers stability but also the main kill switch for the beasts.
Basically:
The RP with revolve around a rag tag group of survivors within this giant crystalline barrier held up inside a run down bunker that has been rigged with power. The group becoming armed with a mission to sneak into the Ark and initiate the Kill Command on the beasts and disable the barrier so that the outside world can swoop in and destroy the ship before it Harvests what they want and kills Earth. The RP will start a coupe years after the first arrival of the Spaceship so keep that in mind for bio's. Weaponry will be based on Energy weapons like lightsabers and energy guns. Technology will be advanced so feel free to drop ideas my way, this is scifi so think out of the box but not the next area code out of the box.
Rules:
1. Don't be a dick. Simple as that. Treat everybody like a buddy and if there is a problem, be mature and take it to PM. No one needs to hear your drama.
2. Proper grammar and punctuation are nice to have though I understand sometimes English isn't everyone's first language and mistakes are possible. Just do your best and if it starts to look like a teen girls facebook page, we will have a talk and try to fix the issue.
3. Be active. If you join into this RP please try to check in as often as possible and I expect people to not be inactive for longer than three days as to not hold up progression. Though I do realize life has unexpected twists and turns so if something arises please say something in group so we are aware of what's going on.
4. Basic RP rules; No Godmod, power play, etc. You know. Be a responsible Roleplayer.
5. This is a high-casual RP so please be able to put real content into your posts; I mean content, not length. I want your posts to take my breath away, not make my eyes sore. Quality over quantity my friends. Furthermore; if you are getting into a conversation and you have the inclination that the posts will be short, ask that person to hop into a collab post to save ourselves from speed posting on the forum.
6. Now this is the most important rule. Seriously, if you do not follow rule number six we are going to have a problem. So much of a problem I might have to come to your town, stalk you until paranoia sets in, sneak into your house while your out, kill your pet rock and smear its dust over your bed.... Yes, that serious! Now, the rule is..... Have fun.
Disclaimer:
This RP will be mature. By that I mean there will be blood, guts, gore, horrible disasters, a fuckton of cussing, lose of hopes and dreams, grotesque creatures, DMV's, and terrifying scenarios. Just be warned that these things will occur and you are okay with this.

Firstly, I am new to GMing so if there are any experienced people with moderating a RP and are willing to help out please step up. I have no problem admitting I lack experience and I wish to fill that gap with someone who has experience. I also want you all to be active with plot progression, please feel free to shoot out ideas. There are no dumb ideas, unless its a dumb idea.

Occupation: Mostly a door-to-door business man, but also was a Chemistry teacher.
Hobbies:
- 1: He dabbles in chemistry, and often times experimented under his house.
- 2: He likes going to clubs, and, before he was trapped, and often times showed at the school hungover. His students liked those days, though they still got their work done.
- 3: Daian goes hunting a lot, and has always wanted to hunt the most dangerous game(i.e. humans), and thus is quite skilled with a gun.
- 4: He likes to read, whether it's a dictionary, fanfiction, or binary code. He's quite skilled in decoding, though not too much.
Appearance:
Daian stands at 5ft. 8in., wears men's large clothes, and has size 11 feet. He often dresses in blue suits with or without glasses, and has long chestnut colored hair. He's naturally pale, and gets sunburned easily, and shaves only every other week. This was before he was trapped. After he was, many of his suits are ripped and torn, and his hair is often in a messy ponytail. Sometimes, instead of his usual suit, he can be seen in a white lab coat, a grey undershirt, sweatpants and running shoes, which is his science attire.
Personality:
Before being locked inside the barrier, Daian was quite the submissive character to both men and women alike, which also translated to the bedroom, in which he was utterly dominated by both genders. Despite this, he can control a classroom of rowdy students without using force or having to yell. Underneath this, he had a sharp tongue to those he disliked, and a less sharp tongue to those he liked.
After being locked within the Barrier, his more aggressive side began to show. He holed himself up in his makeshift lab and is a loner. He still has his sharp tongue, which has grown worse over time. Daian's still a quiet, submissive man, though, but he's gotten control over himself, and is more outspoken, though not by much. He tends to question others a lot, both before, and after, and usually doesn't trust others.
Biography:
Daian moved to the United States from Japan with his parents after a large, devastating earthquake hit near his family's city. He attended many schools, where he was labeled and disliked for his origins and smartness, before graduating at a high school in Texas, and went on to become a a teacher and a business man. He went to Manitoba, Canada because he was going to meet with someone he met online, and he/she lived in the area. After the Pod's landing, he began to look into the incident, and was subsequently trapped within the Barrier while investigating it. While within the Barrier, he often stayed away from contact with others, and only came out of his hiding place/makeshift lab to show what he's made or if he was called on.

Biography:
Was in Canada during the incident do to being stationed in a foundation for the company there. The years inside had forced "Dave" to rewrite himself in his purpose of knowing things concerning the workplace to things all around him.

@Thorny; A bit vague but that is understandable for a robot, they can often have very simple and one tracked lives and personalities. I would ask you fix the little error with the Appearance, just need to finish deleting the words in the [IMG][/IMG] and put a / before the second CENTER code.
EDIT: @Everyone; Just so you all know we will be starting out inside a rather large, run down bunker.
