"This world is rotten. Can we really expect humanity to change?" An androgynous voice hummed out into the darkness in a soft yet inhuman tone, almost as if synthesized by a computer. A dim light flashed in conjunction with it's words, and as it finished the room had once again turned to black. This dim level of brightness was in compliance for a particular individual in the room who hated the light, rather then making it this way for any attempt to conceal the speaker, for they all knew each other quite well by voice alone, among many other ways. Nothing else spoke for a good couple of seconds, until a male voice came with a reply. It wasn't regal, but commanding of respect all the same. It was one full of conviction.
    .
"The Instigator appears to contain such power."
    .
"Yet the power to keep them in line may remain well beyond all of our reach all the same," said a female. "They're quite a stubborn lot; far more trouble then they're worth."
    .
"If anyone can change them, it is he."
    .
"You put too much faith in Atha'ls, our dear companion," said another male who sounded to be a lot younger, yet with a hint of intellect beyond his years. "His plan of exterminating all evil could work on shock value alone to start, but in the long run...does the Eldreis Council truly expect his plan to work? It's simply utopian ideals with no basis on reality."
    .
"Our master in on the Council. Have faith in him and the Instigator and all will be set right."
    .
"We need far more data," came the voice with the flourish of flashing lights. A hiss emanated from somewhere off in the corner in reply. "Then go get it somewhere else," it said in the voice of a snake that sounded incredibly irritated. If it was a rattler then they'd probably be hearing much more then the hissing right about now.
    .
"Fine," the light said in monotone. "For now, meeting adjourned."

A glowing, light blue colored eastern styled dragon sniffed suspiciously at the cold night sky through the window of a traditional style house. Although it was once far too large to fit into such a building, it had since shrunk down to the size that could fit on the nightstand, yet still oddly look like it could take down twenty strong men in the blink of an eye. However, it's gentle expression showed that it would not do so without good reason. For this moment he was quite docile, but there was a hint of something in the air that caused him to tense ever so slightly. It was the unique smell of the Eldrentus, magical beings such as himself that humans called Granters due to being able to give human girls the power of magic. However, as soon as he sensed it the sensation vanished, as if it knew he was watching and retreated off into the distance from which he could no see.
    .
"What is it, Ardius" came a feminine voice and the sound of light footsteps entering the room. Her name was Nakamura Sumiko, the girl who this house belonged to and his most recently added "magical girl" to his forces of good bent on stopping the Eldreis Council. This twisted council was made up of Granters who supposedly are going along with Atha'ls's plan to kill off all of Earth's criminals and trouble makers in one swift blow in order to ensure a peace in a world that is otherwise leading up to war, but as bad as killing billions of people would be, even if they were criminals, he suspected something even more sinister was in the works. Unfortunately he was one of the few Granters who both thought this and was willing to stand up to the most powerful group of Granters in existence. This cost him serious wounds that put him out of commission, and unfortunately he was now dependent on little human girls to get his work done for him. Well, they were bigger then he was right now but still. Although irony wasn't quite the word to describe it, it certainly wasn't how he was expecting things to turn out, especially with his pride. However, in order to stop this plot he had no room for pride in this matter. He needed the humans help if he was to succeed. No, more like he trusted that the humans would be on the side of good and help vanquish the Granters that threatened the very balance of this world. A lot of Granters believed that they were on the path of self destruction, which was indeed correct, but he also knew that humans could pull themselves back from the brink and come back stronger. Unfortunately the HTF (human task force) didn't trust any Granters at the moment, so it was troublesome to get their help, so here he was.
    .
"I thought I sensed one of my brethren for a mere moment," he replied telepathically. Saying that they were brethren put it too nicely. He had only recently been forced into hiding by them. He did have a couple allies among them but they left...a lot to be desired, to be frankly honest.
    .
"Hmm..." pondered the 14-year old girl, stepping further inside. She wore a pair of jean shorts and a white t-shirt with the image of a cuddly bear face on it; not very threatening looking for someone who was now granted her level of power. She twiddled the locks of black shoulder length hair below her right ear, a habit of hers in situations such as these.
    .
"Don't hurt your brain. Just go to bed!" Someone shouted from outside the room. Another magical girl with Ardius, but this one from Germany of all places. It appears like a Granter can travel the world far more easily then a human can in scout of his personal "minions", or "magical girls" to put it more kindly. Sumiko felt like Ardius truly cared for their well being, never feeling like a minion like some people claimed they were. That was one reason why she joined him. The other, and even more importantly, was that many people would die if she didn't...and magic was totally cool, right? Who could pass up the chance to have a magical dragon sitting inside your room contemplating about events pertaining to the destruction of the human race? Err. such thoughts were indeed quite confusing.
    .
"I feel the air stir, as if a battle is on the horizon. We should be prepared for the situation to get critical as the Eldreis Council begin to carry out their plan. I don't know how they may attempt to release the seal stopping us Eldrentus from harming humans, but we must keep our eyes open for anything. But for now, it's late so get your rest"
    .
As the dragon spoke his telepathic voice could reach all of the magical girls inside the house. There came a couple drowsily replies before the lights began to flick off around the house. Only Ardius remain awake, staring at the sky deep in thought.

"Look at them down there. Look at them running around like headless chickens."

Two figures stood on the roof of a high rise, peering down at the small shadows on the ground. The figures were the exact same height, were wearing the same silver and gold lined outfit that looked like some combination of battle armor and a uniform. Their hair, a silvery blue, was styled the same way: short and boyish. If one were to look at them from a distance he'd be unable to tell them apart. Identical in nearly every way. The only identifying mark, other than the one that marked them as Eldrenka, that distinguished them was their eyes. One had piercing blue eyes while the other had stinging red ones.

"Hey, how about we play a little game?" Sumire, the red-eyed twin spoke, turning her head to the girl next to her. Miu, her blue eyes wide in concern, leaned towards Sumire's ear. Even though there were no people around, Miu still chose to whisper, Sumire wasn't sure if it was because Miu was scared or just afraid that someone had abnormally good hearing. "Who cares if they haven't done anything wrong, Miu!" Sumire replied, her voice increasing in volume, "Since when do I...since when do WE care about things like that?"

Miu again leaned in the whisper.

"You're no fun, Miu. You know there's no one down there who can put up a fight. Besides, I want to play catch with you. We haven't played catch since that time in Germany." Both Miu and Sumire smiled as they remembered their time in Germany. Berlin, specifically. Sumire wondered if they started fixing that residential block that so rudely got in the way of their game of catch.

"Okay, fine, we won't play a game now. But how about a quick little prank?" Sumire looked to Miu for approval. Miu sighed and placed a hand to her cheek, her way of telling Sumire that she was listening; it practically meant Sumire's idea would be carried out. "Look, down there, see that man getting on his bicycle? Why don't you test your accuracy, Miu?"

Miu giggled. Every now and then Sumire had a fun idea after all. Miu nodded and clapped her hands together. She may not have agreed to indiscriminately kill the people down there, but she was never opposed to injuring them. Miu thrusted her palms downwards towards the bike rider and she and Sumire stood back to watch the fun.

Down below a high school student had started riding his bike home for the day. He was whistling a catchy song and paying little attention to the world around him. He entered an intersection and all of a sudden his pedals wouldn't move. He struggled, but it was as if they had suddenly put on a literal ton of weight. Pushing down strained his muscles and with a final push he heard a snapping sound and fell off his bike, shouting from the indescribable pain. And to make matters worse, his bike, normally lightweight, tipped over on top of his arm, causing him to yell even harder. He was pinned down by a bicycle.

Up on the roof, Sumire and Miu collapsed over in laughter. What idiots these humans were, but oh so fun to play with.

How dreamlike to see my x-sisters, outside the context of a Papa Song dome. They sang Papa Song’s Psalm, over and over; background hydraulics underbassed that sickening melody. But how jubilant they sounded! Their Investment was paid off. The voyage to Hawaii was under way, and their new life on Xultation would shortly begin... Watching them from the hangway, I envied their certainty about the future.

To anyone in the near by town, the factory was all but abandoned, but to the HTF, it was the base of operations where a Magical Girl had been terrorizing the local area. The factory seemed silent at first, just as any other abandon structure would look, but suddenly there were flashes of blue and white then audible yelling. Inside the factory, a battle was taking place.....

Kate rushed from wall to wall as the Magical girl summoned and flung spikes of enchanted ice at her. Kate rolled behind a piece of machinery that shielded her from the barrage of spikes. The Magical Girl then began to charge her spell to unleash a blast that would freeze the entire room, but Kate was expecting this. She had been watching the Magical Girl for some time now, learning about her attacks and tactics. She this was the chance she needed in order to get in close. She tossed a metal cylinder towards the Magical Girls feet, but it was instantly frozen before it hit the ground.

"Ha! You thought a little grenade would be able to hurt me! Stupid human, you don't seem to grasp how strong and powerful we Magical Girls are! Now witn-" the Magical Girl was cut off as the "grenade" suddenly lit up in its frozen state, flashing an incredibly bright light followed by a very loud bang as the ice shattered and gas escaped. The Magical Girl grasped her ears out reaction to stop the now loud ringing noise she was hearing, but suddenly she felt someone put an arm around her shoulder. Out of nowhere, pain shot up from her stomach and chest as she slowly felt her self being stabbed to death. Her vision slowly returned to find herself lying on the ground in a pool of blood, looking up into the HTF operator's cold blue eyes. She barley heard the operator's voice when she spoke.

"If there is one thing humans are known for, is that you should never underestimate us." Kate said as she pulled out her USP 45. There was a silent cough as the surpressed pistol fired one shot into the head. "Mission Complete, target is dead. Standing by for further orders over." she said over the radio.

"Roger that Atalas, clean up crew is on the way with the evac, head to the LZ over." responded a voice on the radio. She walked outside holstering her pistol and waited. Soon a large VTOL air craft landed out in front of the factory, the rear load ramp lowering. She walked towards the aircraft as men in white clean up suits ran pass her towards the factory. When she climbed in she was greeted by an agent of the Human Task Force. As the aircraft began to take off, the agent spoke to her.

"Exeptionally well for your first mission with the HTF Atalas, granted that was one of the lower girls, but still, you took her down fairly quickly and without causing much of a fuss. I think you will make a great addition to our cause. By the way, how you like the callsign?" the agent asked

"It's not bad, but fighting enemies who can throw ice at you, light you on fire, or make you explode with the flick of a finger is a bit of an change for me. Other than that, I think I'll like the change of pace here." she simply responded

The agent nodded then continued, "Well, glad your adjusting to being an operator, command will want a full debrief of the mission when we get back to base. I would like to see your final report on my desk by tomorrow."

Kate nodded and then said nothing the rest of the way. All of this was relatively new to her, she wasn't eased into the whole scene easily. No, she was more like flung into the fighting ring, and was now trying to survive it with all the skills she had. This was not only a new chapter in her carrier as a soldier, but for her life as well. The VTOL landed on the pad and as she got out she smiled, looking into the sky.

    "Well fuck me."

Johnathan was displaying a rare amount of patience.

He'd been tailing this particular weaboo for a while now, trying to find out where all of her friends were meeting, they were planning some ritual, or terrorist attack, or some anime marathon or something, nothing that he understood, nor cared about.

The woman ducked into a cafe, not bothering him, he just switched his optics to X-Ray/Infrared. Inside at a table next to the wall was this particular weaboo's cell. Perfect, untrained and stupid lass, If wasn't about to kill ye I'd kiss ye He squeezed the trigger, sending a round with a shaped fragmentation tip that was designed to maim, not kill. The round was fired at low velocity, so it burrowed halfway through the wall before exploding, sending large amounts of shrapnel and debris into the room. Knocking the girls off their feet, one didn't move at all, another was clutching her neck, one had already gotten to her feet, and the last was holding her stomach.

Johnathan quickly cycled through different magazines, and amped the velocity, and shot a harpoon like javelin at the one standing, the round impacted into her and sent her flying into the back wall, impaling her and leaving her lifeless body hanging. With that he slung his rifle, unsheated his combat knife and rushed towards the building. The other two knew what was going on now, and they stood at the ready, waiting for him to come to them, under normal circumstances it would be suicide to rush in there, but Johnathan came prepared.

He lobbed an anti magic suppression grenade into the room, after hearing a shout of surprise he kicked in the door and slammed into one of the girls, knocking her off balance and sending her careening into the ground, the other tried to punch him but he saw that coming a mile away, ducking underneath her arm then coming up and slashing out her neck with his knife then stabbing her in the midsection. As the weeaboo collapsed the other rose, only to be shot in the head from his S&W .500 revolver.

Johnathan holstered his gun then ran out of the cafe as fast as he could, there was no way in hell that this wouldn't appear in the news, and the HTF might be pissed with him, but he did his job. Plus this was England, they'd probably pass it off as yet another random act of brutality by the IRA, nevertheless, the weaboos would get his message, and that was all he cared about.

Reaching his safehouse, he packed up his things, got a new fake ID, and proceeded to leave the country, it was nice being close to his home country, but he couldn't stay, it was getting to hot for him here.

Marisa was spacing out in the pantry when someone slammed the door open which shocked Marisa a little. She took a deep breath and look behind, she saw a HTF office boy, breathing heavily after running the infinite-looking-hallway. He tried his best to say something but nothing came out of his mouth. It hurts Marisa to look at him trying so hard to no avail, she then handed him a cup of water. The office was quite surprise at her action, everyone including this office boy expect the HTF experimental killing machine to be emotionless and cold. The boy took a drink regardless, and finally settled down. "Miss Marisa! The general would like to see you." he paused a bit and then said "it's a rescue mission miss". Marisa looked at him and then began to act as a killing machine, she doesn't want anyone to suspect her emotion.

Without wasting anymore time, she walked to the general officer to have a briefing about the situation. She knocked the door when she reached the general's room and went in without waiting for the general's permission. "I have been expecting you, Marisa." as he turned his spinning chair and face her. The general passed Marisa a thick file and ordered her to set off immediately. "We don't have much time, we have many men in danger right now and the information about the enemy were all written there, god speed." as he turned his spinning chair to look at the large panels around him. Marisa then bowed a little and walk out of the room.

Outside the room came a young soldier waiting for Marisa. He saluted to Marisa, "Miss Marisa, I will bring you to our transportation and will aid you in your mission!" Marisa gave it a nod to the young man and they are on their way to their Humvee. When she was inside, she opened the file and began to read. "ten men was sent to eliminate three magical girls in the north after getting some information from the intel." She flipped the page again where the three magical's powers were clearly described in detail, "One with the power of fire - Threat level 4 , another with the power of strength - Threat level 3 and the last one with the power of voice - Threat level 5." Then, a black item dropped to her palm, it is a device provided by the general, it looked like a usb and she knew what exactly it is. After that, Marisa already thinking of a strategy to defeat them without anymore casualties, she crossed all the finger to let her chin rest on it, thinking hard. Using her ability, the full control of the brain, she can think over twenty times faster than a human.

Just five minutes, she forged a strategy that result the least casualties and waited until they reached their destination. The young man then stepped out of the driver seat and opened the steel door. "Miss, we have arrived, we couldn't get any closer, if we were to sneak in, we have to do it here." Marisa then looked at the young boy, she would definitely not included the boy in her plan. "Stay here, take out a sniper, take out any magical girl you see flying out the window." was her answer. The young boy wanted to object but he can't, he turned back to the humvee and took out a sniper, finding a perfect spot to snipe them.

It was dark and it was a great advantage to sneak in to the enemy unnoticed. Marisa then activates her Muffle boots. Marisa was running into those abandoned buildings and climbed up those debris without problem and with minimal sound. She got close to the magical girl and stopped, her back facing the wall as she heard some men groaning in pain along with some giggling from the magical girls. The Magical girls were giving them a slow death, Marisa poked her head out and retreat quickly, some men were not moving but most of them were still alive. With relieve, she closed her eyes ready to assault, she was weaponless but she got used to this. With one last deep breath, her leg muscle suddenly grew five times faster and stronger as she sprinted towards one of the magical girl, jumped and kicked her off to another building.

The other two girls were shocked and before any of them could look at their right where Marisa was, Marisa gave another girl a punch worth five times the power of a muscled man straight in the stomach. That attacked magical girl was pushed of a few feet away and began to breath rapidly as small amount of blood escaped her mouth. Marisa was quite surprised at her iron body and figured she was the one with super strength. After a quick recovery, the magical girl retaliated which can be easily blocked with Marisa's right hand, showing the girl's lac of experience. That magical girl was shocked to find out a person without granter's magic can match her strength. "No...No way.. are you an Eldrenka?! Marisa have no intention of talking to her and then the other magical girl began to use her power. She opened her mouth and Marisa figured this one have the power of voice to manipulate the mind.

The girl began to sang and other men in the room were screaming and rolling while Marisa just stood there, unaffected by the attack. Marisa looked around and thought, "I must stop this girl before it causes more casualties." She then took out the black USB out of her glove and slot it open. The strong magical girl was immediately mobilized due to the sound wave emitted by the device. It has the ability to match the frequency to call off the brain, calling it to relax. That singing girl was unaffected by the device but, stopped singing as she was curious why it didn't affect Marisa, Marisa then smiled, "Looking at your faces, I know what you are thinking. How am I unaffected you asked? It's simple, I am temporary deaf." That magical girl was terrified at what happened and tried to fled. Marisa immediately chopped the back of the strength magical girl on the neck, making her unconscious.

There was no way that the last magical girl could outrun Marisa, it's more like a one sided battle. The magical girl got caught, her hands bounded by rope and her mouth was sealed with duct tape. Marisa then quickly locate her device and switched it off before further injuring her comrades. The reinforcement came after ten minutes, capturing a unconscious magical girl, a tied one and an injured one. Marisa was glad she met three newbies and did not further increase any casualties, she was concerned at those experienced magical girl out there. Her journey has yet to begin. She looked at the moon and sighed.

The whine of turning gears and pistons echoed in the lab as an injection chair tilted back, pulling the subject into a prone position. The new weight of the subject was tough on the injection chair. Straps held down the subjects arms, a few new added since the last experiment due to the abnormal mutation and reaction to the injections.

"How many this time? Any of these going to reverse the mutations?" a voice echoed behind a safety wall. The man in the chair couldn't hear them, and it was probably a good thing.

"They ordered twenty today. Nineteen being the blood and the last, serum formula x-753. With luck, it will stop the mutations, and possibly revert the mutations."

    "Didn't X-753 show unstable isotopes?"

"Aye, but an order is an order. He's already starting to lose grasp on so many things. Hopefully this one will not kill him"

The men continued to talk behind their security wall. Aaric just lay there, he had grown used to theses sessions. It had been sixteen months, two weeks and three days since joining the HTF and became their guinea pig for these tests. Similar procedures had been done in the past, much more stable ones at that. However, Aaric was desperate for revenge, and they where desperate to try their new formulas to make the perfect super solider to end this war, they needed somewhere to start.

By now, though he no longer used his name, but went by VelRhoth.

One of the men pressed a button on a panel infront of him.

"Vel, we are starting now, just relax." He called out from under a white mask, as if there where going to be airborne pathogens to this experiment.

"Get a bigger chair, then I could sleep the test away, couldn't i?" He snapped out, a bit frustrated that they continued to test. "Try not to give me a tail, I'll cut the damned thing off!" He was aware of what they where doing, he wasn't supposed to know which formula was ordered but someone let it slip earlier that day.

He had already proven that he could use magic, of course with a side affect.

"Alright, just relax and this will be over with, then it's to the testing room" With those last words spoken, another button was pressed, mechanical arms started to lower from the ceiling and rice from the floor. Ten from each. Most of the vials where a vibrant blue clear liquid, while one was a darker purple and had bubbles of some sort in it. Most of the injections where in his limps, possibly his chest but never too deep, that is what he expected this time.

However, it was a bit different this time. The nineteen arms lowered and the needles pierced into his arms and legs. While, the last; the one full of the purple fuild moved above him, pushing down into his chest making sure it pierced through his heart to get a better direct influence and quick dispersant through his body. VelRhoth flinched and started to scream in pain when the needed passed through his muscle tissue, thankfully it shouldn't cause too much trouble as it was a very thin needle, but it was enough of a problem now with pain.

It didn't take long for his heartrate to go up, far beyond normal. His body began to shake and tremble, soon showing signs of a seizure. His eye lids fell shut, the subject passing out in the chair.

    --------

VelRhoth found himself in his quarters when he woke. Quickly he stood and looked around, it looked just as he left it; a mess. The only mirror in the room was across from him, he gazed into it to see if there where any changes. Either he dreamed the entire experiment, or somene changed him into a pair of pajamas, the only clean pair he had left. As he walked closer to the mirror, he held his hand over his heart, the larger than normal hand and long sensitive figures brushed over his flesh. He couldn't feel anything, no sign of the needle even going into him. 'What's going on?"

"I don't know, but isn't it odd, that we are in our room instead of the test room?"

"Right, that was the next stop, wasn't it?"

"Yes yes, it was. Who is to blame for this? Did they trick us? Are we trapped in a magic girl's illusion?"

"We might be...I don't feel one near though."

A smirk caressed his face as he continued to talk to himself, trying to figure out what exactly happened after the test.

Kate was heading towards the headquarters, preparing to give them a full debrief, but when she arrived, she was redirected to the to the platoon commander's office. Kate entered the room to find that it was adorn with what you see in any officer's office with pictures of medals and awards mounted on the walls. A middle age man sat in the desk in front of her while to his left stood an agent of the HTF. When she sat down, an agent walked over and handed her a folder that contained her next mission's details.

"Sorry about this Lieutenant Allen, but this is urgent. You see... recently our intelligence suggests the increase of conflict and activity in the South East Asian region is highly due to the increase of organized Magical Girls. They seem to be realizing that they have underestimated us, and are now traveling in packs and groups making them much more deadly. Because of this, we are pairing up our top operators in order to insure a higher mission success rate while at the same time lower our own casualty rate. This new change in tactics includes you was well Lieutenant. While you are relatively new to the Human Task Force, you have more than proven that you are no stranger to fighting our unique enemy. You will be doing this upcoming mission with one of our... "experimental subjects" named Marisa. You two will be working with each other temporally for awhile so read up on her file on the VTOL ride to her location, from there you will be briefed about the mission you guys will be jumping into. That is all, stay frosty, and come back in one piece. Dismissed!" the commander finished with a salute. Kate returned the salute and left the room heading for the landing pads outside.

After the back ramp closed on the VTOL, she opened Marisa's file and began to read up on it while she flew to the location where they will be picking her up. Most of it had been censured out by intelligence, but she was able to read about Marisa's augmentations and assorted abilities. For Kate, the pairing wasn't so much of a problem to her, she would just need to adjust her strategy and approach to a problem when considering she has a "super soldier" on her side now. If anything, this could open new possibilities and hopefully like what the commander said, lower the chance of casualties. She felt the VTOL slow down and begin to decend. She stood up as the back ramp lowered down from the aircraft, then walked off towards Marisa.

The area was abandoned buildings, but covered in HTF soldiers. By the looks of it they where mopping up, loading two captured Magical Girls in armored cars and giving the injured HTF prisoners treatment. Kate spotted Marisa standing near one of the abandoned buildings. Kate was a bit taken back by the lack of equipment or weaponry she had, but then figured her powers probably made up for it. She walked over to her holding the file detailing the mission at hand. She gave a quick salute and began,

"Subject Marisa, correct? I am 1st Lieutenant Allen, callsign Atalas, from HTF Operator's Division. As of the "Partnership Initiative Plan", we will be temporarily working together on future missions. I look forward to working with you, but it seems we have already been given our next mission. No rest for the weary, right?" Kate said while handing Marisa the mission file. "We will be fully briefed once we get on the VTOL."

A silent cold rock surrounded by even more cold rock surrounded by a very big cold and silent cave...locked away from the face of the world sealed in crystal in hope to never return. Crystals chained together almost looking like ice and with sealing writings on them. Around them would tall pillars stand that would hold the chains, and a large old magic circle would be on the floor where the pillars stood. Untouched by anything for several thousands of years, today...would be the day it all would change....A small breeze started stirring up around the cave, making a wailing cry unheard by anyone. But yet it was there, picking up more and more as the wind started to circle around the circle. Faster and faster untill the whirlwind was enough for humans eyes to see, but still none there to look at it as it whirled around breaking the silence.

"Arthu unwoca, mefo thiple..." An eerie voice from seemingly nowhere said, and the wind picked up seemingly responding to the voice and soon the rocks around it started liquifying. Multiple loud scratching sounds would ring through the cave as the wind ripped and teared on the chains holding the crystal. Soon the chains started melting, the rocks started cracking and the crystals started glowing eerily. Soon not only the sound of the wind would break the silence, but also the sound of the rocks and chains crying out in pain as their very being seemed to get undone. And then their final tones would ring before the stones shattered the pillars exploded and the chains crumbled into dust... The crystals glowed more and soon the magic circle would activate, but it was too late for its last defence and it would break into hundreds of pieces and scatter around the walls as dead empty glyphs.

The Crystals took form of a single being that glowed dark for a moment before assuming its rightful form....Mordus had awakened, after countless decades of being locked away from the world he now stood in it once more. Mordu's face turned with a wicked smirk and he started chuckling without an end. "Yualwi bere toasado....!" he roared into the cave, and from his hands darkness shot forth turning anything in its path to ash and dust as it shattered the cave and made the mountain surrounding it crumble. And out from the dark dust that rised, Mordus would walk out into the night. "I....Have....Returned...." he said with eyes glowing red from his evil.

Her nightmares kept on coming every now and then, it has been driving her to be quite uneasy. She would spaced out when she had the time and thought about her sacrificed friends and comrades but then again, they knew the risk, they would sacrifice themselves to become stronger for revenge, at least most of them are. She placed her head on her palm to wipe off the sweat and focus on her duty, just in case one of the magical woke up to retaliate. Then one of the soldier ran towards Marisa, handling out a iced cold water. "Here, miss Marisa good work once again, you never ceased to amaze me, you are my Idol miss!" Marisa looked at him and wanted to say "Oh, stop it you." or maybe "Stop it with your flattery, you're making me blush." but Marisa couldn't do it. She couldn't risk revealing that the so called HTF's brain experimental super soldier were so weak. The reason why her group were so well-known to all HTF members is because their members discarded their emotions. They show no emotions when killing magical girls or even their own comrades, they just need an order and they will do it without having difficulty on humanity. Marisa paused a little, showed him that she doesn't care what he just said and took the bottle out of his hand. The only reply he got from her was a nod.

That was enough to make that man happy, he was hopping his way back to the group to help the others, Marisa couldn't help herself and she smiled. She took a few mouthful of the cold refreshing water and noticed a VTOL flying towards their direction. "Hmm.. reinforcement? she dropped the thought as she would have figured that the efficiency of the HTF communication intelligence to be unparalleled in the world, they wouldn't waste a single man or second, that's how serious they operate. Marisa finished the whole bottle slowly and waited for the aircraft to descent. The hatchet opened and a short brown hair women got out of the VTOL and looked at Marisa. No rest for the weary, right?" Marisa already figured out that she was sent to another mission when this women came to her but do not expect to have a partner in missions. Marisa shook Allen's hand for introduction. "Alright, let's not waste anytime." as she walked into the VTOL and readied for the briefing.

Ana Paula sighed, laying her hand atop the machine and closing her eyes as it rattled under her touch, the coffee beans being ground to a fine powder within. She was in charge of brewing the coffee, as always – it was the only thing that kept her in Heather’s good graces. She had learned a thing or two during her time in Brazil, and more than just how to dance. Brazilians knew how to brew a good cup of Joe, apparently. Opening her eyes, she took her hand off the grinder and popped off the lid, frowning down at the contents. She had ground it too finely...shrugging, she continued the process. It wasn't as if Heather was a connoisseur, she wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Sliding over to the stove, she set the full kettle on the farthest burner, being careful to avoid the pans that were already occupying the other spots. Oil sizzled as Xiao-Ling cooked up their breakfast, being the only one who was truly capable when in the kitchen.
"Sorry, am I in your way?" The young Taiwanese girl asked, ducking under Ana's arm as she cracked an egg against a bowl. "The bacon is almost done, so that side should free up in just a second." Stepping back, Ana shook her head, leaning against the counter with her arms crossed as she waited for the water to come to a boil. It was 6:30 in the morning, far too early for most of their ragtag team to even be functioning. "You're taking an extra shift today, right? I had Claire stop by the store yesterday, so I'll be making more eggs than usual today. Make sure you get enough." Ana's mouth quirked up in a small smile as she pushed off from the counter, the water in the kettle beginning to rattle in a tell-tale sign that the steam would soon be setting off the whistle.

"Alright." She replied quietly. "Thanks." The two weren't close, exactly, but they spent the mornings together as two of the early risers that were on kitchen duty, and got along well. Levina woke up the earliest of the bunch, but went on a morning run, so she didn't typically join them until breakfast was being put out on the table. A-Li had a real tendency to mother all of them, despite being the youngest of the group, a fact that Ana found amusing to no end. The steam began to force itself out of the kettle's spout while she mused, and she briefly considered letting it come to it's full shriek in order to get everyone out of bed with a rude awakening. Just as it began to whistle, however, she pulled it off swiftly, setting it gently on a cutting board she had set aside earlier as she pulled out the old battered press and plunger.

"Whew, something smells delicious!" A peppy voice called from the front door. A few moments later, Levina popped into view with a towel around her neck, still breathing slightly heavily. "You're going all out today, aren't you?"

"You're earlier than usual today." The young girl responded without answering, walking over to hand the blonde a cup of water while Ana took over watching the eggs for a moment. As she returned, Ana brought her full attention back to the coffee, dropping a few spoonfuls of the coffee grounds into the press and pouring the water over them. Letting it sit for a few minutes, she dug out a small tupperware container, pouring the remains of the grounds into it. After sealing it tightly and storing it in the pantry, she returned to the press and plunged the grounds to the bottom, and watched the flavor seep into the water.

"I've got some extra energy to burn off today, for some reason." Levi laughed as she sipped at the water, wiping the sweat from her temple. "I ran a bit faster than usual today." As Ana pulled Heather's mug out from the cabinet, Levi took a seat at the kitchen table, and seated herself facing them with her arms crossed over the back of the chair. "I guess Heather's going to be up soon, then." She observed as she watched Ana pour the aromatic liquid into the cup. The girls chuckled in response, as sure enough, a door could be heard opening upstairs followed by the telltale shuffle of slippers against hardwood flooring. Not long after, she appeared at the top of the stairs, descending slowly and lazily with her fingers tangled in her hair as she scratched her head. Despite the fact that her eyes still weren't fully open yet, a cigarette was already dangling from her lips.

"Damn loud brats," She muttered as she walked down the steps slowly and heavily. "I'm never gonna have kids..." She swore to herself silently. As she reached the bottom of the steps, though, the strong welcoming scent of coffee suddenly attacked her senses, and she opened her eyes to find Ana Paula standing in front of her with the cup of what might as well be ambrosia. Ever since tasting the stuff this Uruguayan made, Heather was not able to go back to that instant crap that she used to use. Staring blankly for a moment, her cigarette drooping as if to mirror her current lack of energy, she finally allowed her lips to quirk upwards into a smirk, showing off her canines. "Well, you're good for something at least," She chuckled, taking the cup of coffee. "Thanks." Though she was rough and gruff on the outside, if she was being truthful with herself, having these kids around was actually kind of nice, and battled the loneliness that she was used to having around, pressing in on all sides.

As Xiao-Ling scooped the food onto plates, each of the girls walked over to help set the table, and soon there was an impressive spread set out across the mahogany of the wood. Another door opened and closed, Claire soon making her own appearance, with half of her hair combed neatly into a ponytail and the other half still retaining the shape it had held when she woke up. "Oh, everyone's already up!" She exclaimed, chipper as ever. "Sorry I'm late!" As she pulled out a seat for herself, Xiao-Ling took the brush that Claire had been gripping, and began to work through the tangles of her hair. Claire was spectacularly proficient at doing the right side of her hair, but was painfully incapable of doing the left side, and it had become a morning ritual for Xiao-Ling to take care of it for her. Meanwhile, everyone began dishing up their food, Levi setting aside an extra plate and scooping large helpings heavy in protein to set aside for Nikinu, who wouldn't rise for another several hours.

Throughout all of this, a humanoid figure with long white hair and an ornate mask sat motionlessly outside, a few yards out. Tilting its head back, a quiet sigh could be heard as it flopped backwards, arms and legs splaying wide in every which direction. Lrarlto was only capable of holding a contemplative pose for so long. "I wonder how Ardius is..." He mused. "Without my great presence there...ah, how he must be hurting without the support of his faithful childhood friend!" Flailing, for lack of a better term, Lrarlto moved in a random and wild fashion as he threw a small fit before launching himself upright. "Don't worry, Ardius!" He called, lifting his arm and clenching his fist. "Your ever faithful childhood friend, Lrarlto, Champion of Justice, will find you and ensure your victory! I may have been too weak to help you before, but now I have my super-secret weapon; Magical Girls, assemble!" Sweeping his arm out in a wide arc, he pointed at nowhere in particular, holding the ridiculous pose for a few moments before resetting. Jumping back into a static position with his hand to his chin, he mumbled incoherently. "Ah, right. They're probably having breakfast right now, aren't they...? Well then!" With a leap and a bound, fluidly exchanged his masks, exchanging his humanoid form for a mystical looking four legged creature. Hopping through the open back door, he approached them silently with a light hop in his step, before leaping in dramatically, landing on the counter with his legs splayed wide apart.

"Oi..." Heather protested, but he paid her no mind.
"Magical girls, assemble!" Everyone stopped eating for a moment to cast him a curious glance.
"Why?" Xiao-Ling asked, turning around in her seat to look at him. "Has something happened?"
"We are going to search for Ardius!" There was another moment of silence as the girls stared at him blankly, before they simply returned to their food. Unfazed, he hopped off of the counter lightly, and circled the table like a clumsy predator. "Are you going to abandon him, in this time of need?" He accused, shoving his face in front of Heather.
"Jesus Christ, get lost already. I have a deadline coming up, there's no way in hell I'm going on some wild goose chase." She snapped, shoving him away with a palm to his face. Ignoring her, he moved on, nuzzling up against Levina.
"Think about how much he needs us."
"Um, sorry Lrarlto, my shift's today, I can't really spare any time." She rejected nervously. "Maybe next weekend?"
"Imagine him cold!" He pushed, leaping away from Levi to pester Ana Paula, who simply shook her head. "Cold and injured, somewhere dark, hurt beyond repair!" As he put his front paws on Claire's lap, the young girl's brow creased in worry as she listened to him.
"How awful..." She murmured, and Lrarlto's tail wagged in excitement.

"If he's really as great as you say he is, I'm sure he's fine. It's been years since the incident anyways right? There's no point in searching for him now. Claire, don't listen to him." Pushing her seat back, Xiao-Ling closed her eyes and ignored Lrarlto as he tried to glare at her, or give her puppy dog eyes, two tactics that didn't work quite so well with a mask concealing his entire face. "Stop your whining and bother us when there's something important. She snapped at him, grabbing her schoolbag as she walked towards the door. "Claire, are you ready?"
"Mhm!" Came the muffled response as she shoveled the rest of her eggs into her mouth.
"Hey hey, slow down." Levi urged in worry. "Eating too quickly will ruin your digestion." Pushing her own seat out, she lifted her arms to stretch, lifting her heels off the ground as she stood suspended on her toes for several beats, before relaxing with a heavy exhale. "You two going to class now? I'll walk you guys to school."
"We don't need you to look out for us." Xiao-Ling replied testily, her gaze challenging.
"No no, that's not it!" Levi replied hastily, waving her hands. "It's just that I've got the morning shift at the cafe today, and your school just happens to be on the way. Some company would be nice, wouldn't it Ally?" Xiao-Ling twitched at the nickname, but nodded.

"How fun!" Claire piped from where she was pulling on her shoes. "I've never walked to school with friends before, like those girls in the TV shows!" Levi grinned as she pulled on a coat and grabbed her waitressing bag.
"I'll meet you at the studio later?" Ana asked softly, standing to put Nikinu's plate in the fridge.
"Ah, that's right!" The local dance studio's manager had nearly keeled over when a talented teen had showed up offering to teach hip-hop classes at minimum wage; when Ana had arrived two months later asking to teach Capoeira for free, the manager had outright fainted. "We should get some smoothies afterwards!" Levi replied with a grin. Turning to Heather, she handed the author a small note. "When Niki wakes up, could you give her this and tell her I'll be waiting at the gym? I said I'd be her sparring partner today, but the gym's hours are a little different today." Heather glanced down at the paper, scanning over the numbers and times, before folding it up and nodding curtly.
"No problem. Now get outta my house." Levina grinned, and turned with a wave.
"Have a good day!" She called brightly, before running out the door to join the two younger girls waiting by the front gate. As the front door slammed shut, Heather heaved a huge sigh and dropped her forehead into her open palm, dreading the work she had to do in order to meet her deadline. With a groan, she stood up a lit a cigarette, grabbing her coffee with her free hand.
"You leaving too?" She asked Ana, who was just finishing wrapping up the leftovers.
"Yes, I'd better." She responded, moving to grab her own bag. "Do you need anything else?"
"A finished novel..." Heather growled under her breath, but shook her head and waved the girl off. "Nah. Have a good day."
"You do the same." Ana said politely, before stepping outside, barefoot as always. Pausing, Heather looked down at Lrarlto, who had curled up on the couch to sulk, and sighed heavily.

"You gonna stay there all day, idiot?" She called out.
"You're all cold heartless humans. Heartless, I say, heartless!"
"You want the TV on?" She asked, unamused. Instantly, he perked up, his front paws on the arm of the couch with his tail wagging wildly.
"Can I? Can I, can I?" Rolling her eyes, Heather walked over and turned the widescreen TV on with a practiced flick of her fingers, and switched the channel to Comedy Central.
"Knock yourself out." Lrarlto rolled over in response, wiggling with excitement. "That oughtta keep you occupied for at least a few hours..." She muttered, climbing the stairs back up to her studio. As she walked past Nikinu's room, she tacked Levina's note to the small cork board that they had put up recently, specifically for purposes like this while the African slept the day away in her room. Scratching her head, Heather gave another frustrated growl before retreating into her small secluded room that she used only for writing.
