Ardius sat motionless on the windowsill overlooking the city, but the entire time he was out searching with his mind for that potential threat that he had briefly picked up. If it was on his side, why did it retreat the moment he had sensed it? It didn't seem overly powerful relative to Ardius even in his weakened state, but that didn't matter. All it had to do was inform the Eldries Council and then the situation would turn critical. He wanted to rush after it as quickly as Eldrentus-ly possible, but without finding it again it would be impossible to know that he was even going in the right direction, and that would also leave his magical girls all alone to the threat of a possible mid level Eldrentus, which would be very difficult for such a newly assembled team to face. He had other better trained magical girls around the globe, but they were on their own right now doing missions. Calling them back here in time was out of the question.
.
Ardius considered his options. The Eldries Council was off in western Russia, so if that was where the Eldrentus who had spotted him was headed then it would give him some time for proper preparation to leave before they'd come back with reinforcements. However, that still didn't leave enough time to get his trained magical girls to fly in and assist. Not that he'd try to fight anyone on the Council at the moment anyways, so he'd want them to stay far away until they were even better then they already were. The worse possibility for him would be contacting Yurrahaln in China, only half the distance that the Council was. Knowing him he'd first send out waves of magical girls until one side was completely demolished, and then join in the fight to finish off any enemies that remain, although if it's to fight Ardius then he never knew if he'd jump in directly much quicker in order to carry out his revenge for his grudge personally. If luck was smiling on him, which it seldom was, then perhaps Yurrahaln would be too busy at the moment to even partake in visiting his old rival.
.
"You're still up?" Sumiko questioned from within the darkness of her room. Ardius could still see her, or more like sense her, and he himself was clearly visible due to the fact that he was glowing blue at all times like a fancy nightlight. Right before he could answer, a sudden energy pulse was felt through the area, followed by a brief change in tint before everything went back to normal...supposedly.
.
"An artificial reality has just been overlaid with our current location!" Ardius shouted into the magical girl's mind in shock. "This power is definitely Entovre's, and he's always there simply as back up...who could be attacking now?!...everyone! Transform and defend yourse-"
.
A bright flash lit the area as a magical explosion tore into the side of the house and demolished it in an instant. Ardius sent his energy out as a barrier to protect the occupants from the magical energy, but all of the shrapnel flying around was still quite dangerous to any normal human nontransformed. Ardius was knocked back and felt the scar on his belly burn horribly as he twisted at an awkward angle. Despite having been injured over a year ago, due to the powerful magic involved in the attack his body had yet to be able to heal itself and he remained weakened. He let out a snarl as he landed on his feet next to the now transformed Sumiko clothed in an frilly orange outfit. Three other's also charged into the room in battle ready formation, each with their own unique, chosen magic outfit due to Ardius not carrying about dress code. Not only did they have different colors but different styles entirely. Two other Eldrenka weren't in the room, but he could sense that they had also transformed due to the amount of energy they gave off. Unfortunately they were still tiny compared to the other energy signals approached. For one thing Entovre's was simply massive compared to almost anything, and the other was about as powerful as Ardius was now. Not only that, but multiple smaller energy sources, but still equivalent to his own Eldrenka, were approaching the area. Not good at all. Why did Entovre have to be in Osaka? Sure, Japan was well in the top 5 countries to search for magical girls over all, but...no time to worry about why he's in Osaka. Time to think how to get out of this mess.
.
"Everyone, avoid the largest energy source at all cost! Eldrentus can attack magical girls, but he'll only do so if we provoke him. The other one I'm not familiar with, but stay away from him as well if you're able. Keep the enemy Eldrenka at bay as best you can," Ardius ordered. "Whenever you get the chance, try to escape."
.
"But my parents are in here!" Sumiko shouted. That was right. Magical girls could even attack normal people, so that could be a problem. Some of them were more honorable then that, but he would have to assume that these weren't. Could this situation get any worse?
.
"Ada, Sofia, focus on escorting the humans to safety. Everyone else will give that team protection from the Eldrenka. I'll handle the Eldrentus and keep you from getting swarmed," Ardius ordered. It would be tough, but it was the safest way to help the humans. With his attention back on the battle, Ardius increased his power to become about the size of a bear and his tail extended a couple more meters. He let out a roar and blew out a stream of blue fire at the advancing shadowy figure approaching his position in a nonhuman manner through the alleyway. It leapt upwards to avoid the flames, revealing a slim figure with four long limbs with ball joints instead of elbows and knees, and four large, circular eyes lined up in a vertical line on it's face, which was also just an extension of it's body without any neck. There was no other facial features to speak of. It's top eye changed to blue and a blizzard suddenly formed and smashed through the ruined section of the house, flooding the floor with ice that crawled up and froze most of the furniture solid. Luckily him and his team was able to dodge before suffering a similar fate.
.
It was then that Eldrenka clothed in fancy white uniforms stormed in. Ardius swiped at one with his paw, sending her crashing into what remained of the wall and knocked her out. On brief examination he could see that she was Caucasian, so she wasn't with Yurrahaln as one would expect. However, he couldn't see her magical mark to know specifically who she was given her powers from. It wasn't on any visible areas and he didn't have time to check now.
.
"Whenever you get the chance, someone find the magical mark on one of them," he ordered. Another Eldrenka approached and tried to flame boil him from up close, but that was a mistake. He bit down hard enough to take her out in a single attack. Some of the other attackers looked frightened as their companion hung limp in his jaws, but they still prepared their magic and rushed in again. Ardius tossed her body into the group with a jerk of his head and then leapt forward to engage the Eldrentus in midair, claws extended.

) rushed out of the VTOL right as it gunned its engines and quickly flew away. This got the attention of the attackers who redirected some of their girls to fight the new arrivals, just what Kate wanted. From behind her cover, she yelled to Marisa.
