    New in-depth fantasy world

Just checking who would like to have a RP based in my new (as yet unnamed) fantasy world.

    Magic
To cast magic, you need four artifacts. These artifacts represent the four elements; Fire, Water, Earth, Air. Often, the artifact for fire is a rod, but it can also be a torch or gun. The artifact for water is traditionally a chalice, but is sometimes a lamp that does not light, a crystal or a flask. The artifact for earth is the most fluid in choice, even though the element is the most rigid, and is often a circle, a disc, an amulet, or even a tattoo. The artifact for air is invariably some bladed instrument of some kind. All this power is focused through the human into a 'fifth element' of magic

    Combat
The realm practices four main forms of combat: the bow, one handed , two handed, and polearm. The bow, practiced in the south primarily, encompasses the crossbow, shortbow, and longbow. One handed, practiced in the west primarily, encompasses the rapier, sword and shield and dual wielding techniques. Two handed, practiced in the north primarily, encompasses the Claymore, Axe, and most forms of bludgeons. The polearm, practiced in the east primarily, encompasses the glaive, spear, and quarterstaff. There are some schools that combine one or more of these forms.

The world will be mostly unique, but clothing, architecture, and technology will be based (loosely) off the 17th-18th centuries

Respond if interested. If enough are, I will set up the OOC board and begin posting the 'canon' of the setting. Also, could anyone give suggestions? I cannot build an entire world and ruleset on my own, I would particularly like suggestions on names and history, but any suggestions are good.

The post there actually tells us almost nothing.

17th-18th century from where? Asia? Europe? Africa? What kind of races exist? As it is you've mentioned a tiny bit about the magic and a tiny bit about the combat, and nothing about what actually makes it a unique or interesting setting. I'm certainly open to hearing more, but at present this just feels like a couple of ideas rather than an interest check.

17th-18th century in 'the west' which is a counterpart in this world of France, The UK, Ireland, Spain and Italy. 'The north', is the counterpart of Scandinavia, Russia, and Germany, and is closer to the 16th-17th century. 'The South' is Africa, and is pre-16th century. 'The east' is Asia, India, and the Middle-East, and it is roughly in the 13th-17th centuries. The reason I did not go further was for three main reasons, firstly, I was pressed for time when I opened the thread, secondly, I suck at naming, particularly if I wanted to be PC, and thirdly, I did not want to put too much effort into a world which no-one would be interested in.

I am currently detailing the "Races" you can be, and how stats will work.

I need help to make this setting work, and I thank you for your contribution.
