    The Black World: Eternal Darkness

A kyubbi girl sat at her desk, helping the long line of newly dead along their way. She had forms for each of them, and began getting the ins. She read through each, and gave a stamp of approval. She was honestly only doing this until she could get enough money to have a legal license in the human world. She wanted to visit her homeland again. She stopped though, as a young blonde man gave her his paper. He looked different than the rest of the tired people. She began reading over his paper, looking up at him every now and then. "Um...you're...What? You aren't dead are you?" she said. The man smiled "Nope. I just happened to run into a gate. Now I plan on helping these dead people out better than your leaders can." He said with a grin. "But I need some papers to get back to my world. So, if I could get the proper paperwork..." He said as he somehow seduced the girl, who handed him some papers. "Thanks." He said with a smile as he walked off.

Meanwhile, in the material world everything was going as they normally would, and the lord of the planet prepared his own powers for his daily assassination attempts. "Tis an old habit with these humans, which refuses to die." he said, "Another day of ruling for Lord Dyan." he said. Another Vampire walked into his champers, this one, an elderly looking man, dressed in a butler's attire. "Sir, the humans at the base of the castle are beginning their revolt of the day. Have you prepared a proper spell to deal with them from your Grimoire?" the butler asked. "Yes Sebastian. I'd like to try this one on you though, if you don't mind." Dyan replied. "As you wish sir, I am only your servant after all." Dyan pointed his palm toward his butler. "Inversa Varsta" he said, and a plume of purple smoke wafted forth from his palm. It quickly overtook Sebastian, who soon realized just what was happening. "Ah, I see sir." he said, his voice becoming less rigid and slightly getting higher in pitch. "It is quite the spell, especially with your specific taste." Sebastian said, now sounding like a teenage boy. He then stepped out of the cloud, his body that of an 8 year old. "All that in 5 seconds?" he asked, his clothes now shrinking to fit him. Dyan chuckled slightly. "Yes, why kill, when they can serve. Luckily for you, vampires are unaffected by the mind affecting agents. I'll need you to watch the skies, and tell maid Mary to watch the battleground for any wayward demons." Sebastian bowed and then walked off. "Dyan, maker of children vampires. This'll hurt my reputation." he said to himself.

Elsewhere in the material world, it was a normal day for everyone else. Well, what's been normal for the last 1000 years. Some are hunted, some hunt. It's the way of life.

Zoe yawned and stretched. She didn't really have any reason to be here. Sure she was part of the resistance, but she didn't really see why. She honestly didn't mind how the world was today. Sure, it had its bad moments and evil people, but it was sort of exciting to her. Maybe that's why she was part of this. Or at least, one of the reasons. Apart of her would have these flashes of images in her head. Of a beautiful place that she was beginning to think was the world before the darkness. She couldn't remember. She barely remembered anything and, in the end, that's all she wanted. Her memory. She sighed and stood, clutching her weapon and following the crowd towards the castle.

In a swirl of blue smoke, the portal closed up behind the youth who had just stepped out of it. The fair-haired young man seemed at ease with the teleportation process, as if he'd done it many times, and in fact he didn't even care to take a look at his new location immediately. Instead he was fixated on the scrap of old parchment in his hand, on which was drawn a crude map, apparently directions which had been made for him by someone. Sighing and scrunching up the parchment in his hand, 'Mitri looked up at his surroundings at last. He was alone in a large field, and a fence in the distance told him it was, specifically, a farmer's field. There were a group of horses grazing on the other side of the fence. He would need those. He was still a long way from his destination, but couldn't afford to teleport many more times - the borrowed ability would expire soon.

Leigh giggled, sitting under the table of one if the fancier restaurants of the city. Although she knew that they wouldn't be able to see her, she still felt the need to hide. It gave her a certain thrill. As the waitress came over to serve the elderly couple their food, the blond sixteen-year-old bit her thumbnail impatiently. She could hear the clink of the glasses being sat down on the table, and then the heavier sound of the plates.

Chuckling mischeiviously, she used her mind to pick up one of the forks from the table, leaving it floating in the air. The conversation between the waitress and the couple came to a halt, all of them apparently distracted by the floating fork. Leigh lifted the fork higher, then sent it sailing to the side of the room, hitting a wall with a thunk, then dropping to the floor.

The man, woman, and waitress screamed, then took off for a run. The poltergeist laid on the ground, rolling around on her back and laughing loudly. "He screamed like a girl!" she choked out, between laughs. When her laughing fit finally ended, Leigh contemplated what would be her next victim.

In a rather average clothing store, an employee dealt with a disgruntled customer.

"I thought your clothes were pre-shrunk! Yet when we washed the new pants we bought for my wife, it no longer fit. I demand a refund," the man said, angry yet thankfully direct.

"Sir, we make no such claims, and if you check the tag it says that the pants aren't machine washable," the employee pointed out with endless patience, an internal well spring of hate silently burning for the customer, as she pointed at the tag in question in the pants.

"Well, how were we supposed to know? I demand to see your manager, I will have you fired!" the man said loudly. Customers nearby tried not to look at the spectacle he was making of himself.

    "Click."

"If you'd like to talk to my manager, I will take you to him, sir," the employee said with a kindness and tolerance that would have impressed a saint.

"But first I'd like a refund!"

    "Click."

"Sir, I cannot simply give you a refund."

    "You have money, don't you?"

"Are you suggesting I give it to you out of my own wallet?" the employee said incredulously, "Sir, that's...unreasonable."

"Why not, I suffer, you suffer!"

Nearby customers were actually beginning to laugh.

    "Click."

"...Sir, I'll just take you to see my manager, and we can hopefully iron out this whole mess," the employee had to take a deep breath to maintain her composure.

    "Click."

"And what the hell is that clicking?"

    "Click."

The man turned around, eyes wide, as he stared at the marionette. It was wearing the latest in fall fashion, a brown trenchcoat and black slacks. It had wide open eyes crudely painted on.

    "What the hell are you!?"

"Vesania forgives that question, and respectfully requests that you not ask another one," the marionette replied, before calmly handing the employee a wad of cash.

"Vesania would like to purchase the clothes that the workers put on it. Vesania will have to leave now," the marionette continued, before walking away with a quick, jerky gait.

The employee, to her credit, only blinked.

"Sir, would you still like to see my manager."

"No ma'am. It was nice doing business with you."

"Excuse me." a man in a black trench coat said, with small round glasses smiling and bending down. "I'm a psychic and just wanted to let you know that, what you did wasn't very nice." He said. "But, I do enjoy a good show every now and then." he said again, holding his hand out. "C'mon, I'll get you out of here before a Hunter gets here." he said.

Elsewhere, in the field, the horses in the field looked up and then went back to eating their grass.

Walking down the road slowly, despising the darkness, as if something should be in its place, but he was unsure. He wished he could fly, but this evil worked mostly on the ground level with the humans. He walked into a crowd, marching purposely to what seemed to Matthew as a castle, then he realized this must be the resistance he had heard about, and so he decided to find the leader and talk to him, maybe even get his help. Matthew started to fly off, opening his wings, but then he stopped and wrapped them back around himself, as not to scare anyone, so he ran with his wings and long coat forming a kind of cloak.

The group of humans continued forth towards the castle, though they had a few other plans to take the castle, including using a few gargoyles to help them get in through the air. The leader of the humans stayed near the back, and saw the man, Matthew approaching him. "What? What do you want?" He asked slightly irritated, before signalling for another to come to him, and he whispered into their ear. The person ran off quickly, "Sorry, what did you want?" he asked. Meanwhile, a few of the humans have gotten to the steps, a few of them whispering about the "Demons" that are in their resistance, and also how brutal the vampire they would soon fight was. A woman with red hair wearing a maid's outfit stepped out through the door. "Welcome my lovlies, 'ow 'ave ye been? C'mon in, we got tea on the burner." She said as she opened the doors for them. Dyan could see this from his perch on his castle, and facepalmed himself. "How many times do I have to tell that halfwit, not everyone is here to be company." A few of the humans walked in cautiously, and one of them tried to attack the maid, Mary. She quickly disarmed him however, and threw away his sword. "Ye won't be needin that thin'." she said. "You're here to see lord Dyan yes?" she said. One of the humans answered, "You could say that." Mary nodded, "This way then." she said as she led them down a hall. Suddenly a loud booming noise began, and Mary continued down the hall as if deaf. The gargoyles were being shot down, and the air strike failed, a large AA gun was on the side of the Castle, with Sebastian using the gun, as well as a few other creatures. Dyan whispered to himself, "Anima." which caused the many rows of armor to come to life, and attack the humans approaching the castle. They would have to do better than that if they wanted to get to him.

Meanwhile a gate was opening not far from that point, and the Blonde Human got back to his original realm. He looked around and saw the explosions coming from the castle. "There's my first target." he said as he began walking towards the castle. A man on top of a building in town watched all of this begin, as he held out a strange device pointed towards the castle. "Soon. Very Soon." he said.

Matthew approached the man in his graceful gait, saying, "Sir, are you the resistance leader? If so, i am on a mission to stop a certain evil. Would you, sir, allow me into your ranks? I am quiet skilled with my sword and I can fly rather fast. And on to my next point, you are never going to get close to that man in the castle without an impressive strategy, he is an awe-strikingly wonderful sorcerer. My name is Matthew, an Archangel, and i am at your service." In an impressive, and slightly arrogant, display Matthew bowed while also revealing his tattoos, to prove that he was in fact an archangel. At this moment, though, the armors began to attack the crowd which ,shocked, did not know how to handle very well.
So with a slightly rude, "excuse me" he let and defended the crowd taking on several armors at once. It was elegant display of swordsmanship, in mid-step he would perform strong blows, impossible parries, and awe-striking feats, in truth it was a skill that had been mastered by what only could have been hundreds of years. Many of the crowd were amazed to see the feat, but he was also familiar with this type of magic and couldn't help but think 'How did i learn all this? What was I?' But these questions had no answer so far, and when he had finished the most troubling armors he returned to the leader and apologized for being rude upon leaving.
