She was working on another line of her paper when he spoke again. Her eyes flicked up from the characters- this time properly written without any Mandarin leaking through now that her brain had had time to rest- and looked at him. She gave a quick nod and drew her eyes back down to her paper, continuing to write. "Yes, that's right. While we're still on campus, you'll have to spend much of your time hiding. I suppose you'll have to do that in here."
She lifted her pencil and made a circular gesture with it, indicating her room, and clicked it a few more times to extend the nearly-gone graphite at it's tip. She paused and scribbled a few more characters down before continuing, "My suitemates can't know you're staying here, but we shouldn't have to hide you completely. I can work it out so you can come in and out with me sometimes. This is an awfully small place to be confined to for a week or so, after all."
