The first thing you have to know is the three classes. Light, Medium, and Heavy! Here's information on all three!
Light: Easiest to get Top Speed(2 Turns), but has the lowest Top Speed of all. This class is good for players who don't want to play as much chance to get Top Speed.(Speed explained later)
Medium The middle class, doesn't take as long as Heavy to get Top Speed(3 Turns), and still has better than Light, but still requires some luck to profit on!
Heavy: The hardest to get to Top Speed, but has the highest Top Speed of all. This class is pure luck, because until you gain speed you'll be gaining seconds!(Seconds explained later)
~Seconds~
Seconds are used to predict who's in what position, each track section(Explained below: Race Tracks) will have an expected total of seconds it will take for a racer to clear it. For an example, i will use this:
Let's say the section is flat and strait forward. The expected time to clear it is 10 seconds, which is the amount you'll be averaged to but it will change based on your Speed and if you get hit by items, the amount will become more(Bad) or less(Good) Let's say a Toad was racing along, starting the section. He is Light Class and is at Top Speed, losing 2 seconds due to going fast. If he is hit by a turtle shell, he'll gain 2 seconds towards his total time to clear the section and lose a Speed Level(Explained later).
~Speed Levels and You~
Speed Levels are things that help predict how fast your character is going compared to other racers! You gain a Speed Level everytime you turn a corner, and you lose one whenever you are hit by an enemy item! Your Max Level is decided by your class. Here's a rundown for each class!
Light: Takes 2 turns to reach Max, removes 2 seconds from the predicted time.
Medium: Takes 3 turns to reach Max, adds 1 second until level up(1), removes 1 second at this level(2), removes 3 seconds from the predicted time at Max.
Heavy: Takes 4 turns to reach Max, adds 2 seconds until level up(1), then adds 1 second until the next level(2), removes 3 seconds at this level(3), then Max removes 4 seconds from the predicted time.
~Items and You~
I will be using Mario Kart 64's item list.
Each sections(Aside from Starting Line) will have five item boxes! A roll will be made for all racers (In order of position, so 1st place has first roll) to see who hits a box. This is a simply 5 or lower miss and 6 or higher hit on a ten-sided die. This of course gives the early ahead racers the advantage of getting items and trying to knock down other racers. Another roll will be made to decide on the item you obtain.
NOTE: The farther back you are, the more likely you'll get better items, odds are changed. If your in first, your less likely to get a good item.
Hit percentage for items are as followed, rolling on a ten-sided die.
Banana Peels: any roll above 3 will avoid this.
Green Shells: any roll above 5 will avoid this.
Red Shells: Unavoidable without the use of a Banana Peel, Green Shell, or a Red Shell.
Blue Shells: Unavoidable, will track who was in 1st place when thrown even if they fall back positions.
Lightning: Unavoidable, shrinks all players and lowers their Speed Levels until the next turn and they grow back to normal.
Fake Item: Any roll above 4 will avoid this.
Boo: Unavoidable, if you don't have an item it misses.
~Power Ups~
Power ups can be used to boost your Speed Levels for one turn!
Mushroom: Boosts your speed by one level for this turn.
Triple Shooms: Boosts you by three levels for this turn.
Golden Mushroom: Boosts you to Max, no matter what level you are for this turn.
Star: Boosts you to Max and makes you invincible for this turn, passing players via' positions while in Star Mode will cause them to be hit and lose a Speed Level, also gain seconds.
~Race Tracks~
Everyone is required to make a Race Track for the Grand Prix, mine will be an example, but each must have 5 sections (The first being the starting line), Sections are used to make turns, the first turn being Section 2, the next turn being section 3. 4, 5, then back to 1: Starting Line/Finish. We will be going by 2 laps per' race.
~How Racing Will Work~
After everyone is put into starting positions, and takes off, i will roll dice for everyone on Item Boxes, then the racers will post and make small details if they please, and say who they are attacking with an item, if they're saving it, or if their using an item for themselves. Pretty simple, but this requires ALL racers to post before we go to the next turn. If you do not respond within' an average of 24 hours you will be PM'd, if you do not respond within' another couple of hours you will be punted into last and the race will continue with you losing. I know this might sound unfair, but i want to keep this RP going!
