Superhero, Reality TV, King Of Heroes Competition - Tiger & Bunny

I've just started watching a film called Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning and think it's a fantastic idea to roleplay.

In a futuristic city with relatively advanced technology but not anything exceptionally 'out of this world' superheros are filmed fighting crime and broadcast across the nation. Pepsi and Dominos Pizza are among some of the many global companies that sponsor the heroes. They compete for points and at the end of each Series one is crowned the King Of Heroes. Points are rewarded for each heroic thing they do: save civilians, arrest criminals.

This wouldn't be a free roam RP. I would create a series of chapters with unique goals and antagonists that our characters would have to work through in order to receive points allocated by me. There won't be anything put in play to make things "fair". We would just have to trust the roleplay integrity of our roleplay comrades. If there are any Tiger and Bunny fans reading this: I've literally only watched the first fifteen minutes so if this kicks off it won't be anything like the film.

Anime is wonderful. I don't like the negative energy in that 'though', you shady.

It wouldn't be anything like the film because I didn't finish watching the film. This roleplay is a superhero roleplay with a surrealist reality TV twist and maybe some psychologically disturbing themes. It's up to you guys!

Love the show and it's premise, though I never finished the series. Certainly peg me down as interested, though

    Beautiful signature made by AmongHeroes.
Make sure to check him out!

Interested. Never watched it though...so could I inquire as to the limits of the powers for a hero?

    I haven't watched it either.

In the first fifteen minutes of the film I have seen they all have Elemental abilities but in the roleplay I would ban elemental powers. Think DC-esque characters minus Superman.

What about having two reality TV shows compete? E.G., having an opposing television show named King of Villains, which aims to do the exact opposite of the King of Heroes show?
