    Kingdoms of Leonrra: ((FULL))

    Name: Phillip Tiberius Rensand
    Age: 19 turning 20 in July
    Appearance: ((He's on the right. He has brown hair))

    Name: Rowena Celestine Layfaire
    Age: 18 (and a half)

    Appearance: Rowena is slightly smaller than average, though not incredibly so. Rowena stands at around 5’6”, maybe 5’5”. Give or take a few inches. She’s never really bothered to measure her exact height. She is physically rather slender; though don’t let that give you the wrong idea. She has reasonable strength and muscles do to training with a sword (in secret). She can use it adequately, though nowhere near as well as a true warrior. She has a rather delicate look to her also. Rowena’s hair’s colour is predominantly a bright flaming colour, red you could call it. Shades of orange, auburn, ginger and mostly red all mixed into it to make a fire colour, always smouldering. Towards the tips of her hair it darkens slightly, gaining a brown tinge; though this is barely noticeable. Lengthwise her hair is rather long, falling down past her shoulder blades and maybe slightly further. It is kept neat and often tied back in a braid to keep it out of a way. Rowena’s eyes are rather soft in colour, contrasting her bright and flaming hair. They are leaf green, turning darker towards the pupil. Some lighter and darker swirls dance about in them though it is primarily a soft colour. They are framed by soft lashes and only ever show what Rowena wants them to show. Rowena’s skin is fair, with a few scars dotting it and her hands callused. Freckles crowd her face, dancing around it. Rowena could be described as pretty by some, and really she is. As expected of a Princess, though.

    (Without the black tips to the hair and with only green eyes And ignore the name xD This was for another character and is closest to Rowena in appearance...)

    Personality (being improved): On the outside Rowena appears to be your typical princess; calm, quiet and obedient. She appears to be rather, well, ‘good’ and ladylike. Not showing emotions, only speaking when spoken to and the like. But this is only a first impression, a lie that Rowena has weaved around herself. She is quite a rebel at heart, being very troublesome towards most people... She likes playing all sorts of jokes and is very stubborn and highly wilful. She pretty stubborn and can have a terrible temper at points, when it flairs up she can pretty easily hurt someone. She has her temper under control mostly, but when it flares up... she says a lot of things she doesn’t mean to. Past all this Rowena actually has a cold indifference to many things, acting calm in the face of danger. She is often very sarcastic and witty in what she says, though sometimes it is veiled and hard to detect. She is rather confident and highly opinionated, though she doesn’t always voice them. She is resentful about being forced to marry some prince, but she has always known that it will happen. So she’ll live with it.
    Rowena has been sneaked out for a while now and learning how to fight with a sword; a thing she has kept secret. No one knows whatsoever, as she goes in disguise.

    Info I used for wedding stuff (because I'm that sad);

    A wedding in the middle ages never actually took place inside the church as it does today. They held the ceremony outside the church door before entering for a nuptial mass. The Groom stood on the right side and the Bride stood on the left side, facing the door of the church. The female was formed out of a rib in the left side of Adam by God and so had to stand to his left. Brides often wore blue as a symbol of purity and faithfulness. Symbolic stones were worn in medieval wedding wear. Red jasper was worn for love, Beryl for purification and Amethyst for piety and martyrdom.

    Many of the same wedding rituals from Medieval times are still practiced today. The marriage ceremony has most of the same wording, the man and the woman stand on the same sides of the altar, rings are exchanged, and the ring is placed on the fourth finger. Their families would have a large feast after the wedding similar to today's wedding reception.

    During a medieval wedding ceremony, the bride and groom would sit at a raised area facing the guests with other important members of the bridal party. The bridal party was there and dressed similarly to the bride and groom to fake out the bad spirits and to keep the new couple safe. A jongleur or minstrel would wander through the crowd during the feast singing love songs and reciting poems for the enjoyment of the guests. (From here)

    AND

    The church ceremony in the middle ages took place outside the church door before entering for a nuptial mass. During the ceremony in front of the church doors the man stood on the right side and the woman stood on the left side, facing the door of the church. This was because the female was formed out of a rib in the left side of Adam by God. The priest begins by asking if anyone present knows of any reason why that couple should not be married. The priest also then asks the bride and groom so they may confess any reasons for prohibiting their marriage. (Amt, pg 84)

    Many of the items and rituals that took place during the time of a wedding have become traditions and are practiced today. The marriage ceremony, for example, contains much of the same wording that was used in the middle ages. Today, the man and the woman stand on the same sides of the altar as they did then. The wedding ceremony of today also includes a ring exchange, and the ring is placed on the fourth finger, the same finger it was placed on during the middle ages. In the middle ages a couple and their families would have a large feast after the wedding, this is still carried on in today's society with the wedding reception. (From Here)
