    Beautiful Creatures

Mystic Falls, Virginia. It was all Emily Graves had heard about for the last... Oh she couldn't remember now, but all she knew of the small town was how tragic it was, and how it attracted the supernatural. It wasn't the best thing for some, but for others it was the greatest. Currently, Emily was walking about the small town, attempting to get used to it's quaint front while she looked for people she never thought she would look for. The Originals. She had plenty of reasons for avoiding them. Being a witch. Being an old witch. Being a powerful witch. Okay, so pretty much everything tied back into her being a witch, but she knew that the Originals were her only shot at this. She sighed, allowing her long, platinum strands flow in the wind as she searched the street with her bright sapphire eyes. However, it seemed that things were already going down. The town was pretty well vacant for it being a Friday night, and as she walked around she saw the police patrolling, and checking everyone who was out. That wasn't at all good.

"Ma'am!" A police officer beckoned to her and she turned and looked at him.

"Yes, officer?" she asked, and he looked her over. She raised a brow, "Is there a problem, officer?" she asked and she watched as he stabbed his hand and held it in front of her. They were looking for vampires. She looked at his hand. "Sir, I would like to point out you're bleeding."

He nodded. "I'm sorry." he apologized. "Just get inside."

"Here, let me help you heal that." she said, looking around and taking hold of his hand and grasping on tightly allowing her grip on his hand to form a connection between their two energies. In moments the man was pale white and on the ground. Let the vampires take this fall because she was certain no one would have ever seen her method of staying young. Other witches just used herbs and simple spells, but Emily had been around a long time and found a way to look much younger than what she really was. "Now, if I was an Original where would I hide?" she asked herself aloud as she continued down the street, turning back to the body and watching it light ablaze with a little bit of magic and a few squad cars walking over to the scene, completely ignoring her.

She smirked, satisfied, but she soon stopped and turned a corner, towards the housing part of the town. "Hm..."

Niklaus Mikaelson had never been happier to be back in his own body. Never before had he grown so weary of being in another's body. He had a moment with Caroline which he rather enjoyed, but now he had other matters to move onto. Like finding Elijah and making sure that he hadn't been captured too. Rebekah had been stupid and got herself caught, and he knew Elijah had stuck around to help Rebekah. He knew that was how Elijah would always be. Moral. Still, he walked the surprisingly empty streets before watching a few squad cars drive down the street towards the site of a rather small fire and there was no one in sight to take the fall. That was odd.

With a sigh he turned to walk down the other way and headed off to his mansion that he had been sharing with his siblings. Currently they were pretty scattered, but he couldn't go and rescue Rebekah. He was hungry and not ready to become any form of hero. Rebekah had left him, he had been desicated, and even with Elijah returning, they needed to learn their lesson.

Upon walking into the house he knew what was going to happen. Elena would become a vampire and the two bags of her blood that he had left were all he would have for all eternity. He sighed at that rather depressing thought and looked around before flashing home and he checked on it. He was glad he was able to keep this form, and he ran his hand over his hair and walked over to the bar, pouring himself a drink. Soon his siblings would be back, he was sure, but for now he had peace.

Karah closed her eyes. She was still pretty pissed her parents were forcing her to move, and to some town in Virgina. Mystic Falls? She couldn't quite remember the name, it wasn't important to her. She would much rather be in her quaint New Orleans home, but thanks to her mom's job transfer, she could kiss it good-bye. When she opened them, they were pulling into the driveway to a family-styled two-story home. Sighing, Karah opened the door and got out after her parents. "This is it, we're home." Her father said, turning to face her. Yeah, Karah was nineteen and didn't have to move with her parents, but she did love them dearly and wasn't quite ready to be on her own just yet. Karah didn't reply, but just grabbed a few bags and followed them inside. It wasn't too bad, she could get use to it. Thankfully, she didn't have to worry about the whole starting at a new school, since she graduated last year. She found her bedroom, the biggest one next to the master, and sat down on the already equipped double bed. It wasn't terribly uncomfortable.

After unpacking a few things, she asked to borrow the car to do a little shopping and check out the town. She started it up, buckled up, and headed downtown. She parked behind a black SUV and got out. It was dark, maybe around 7 or 8 at night, and several policeman patrolled the street. Frowning a thinking how odd this town was, she noticed a sign that read Mystic Grill, after her rumbling stomach begged for food, Karah walked inside. Except for a few teenagers wondering around, playing pool it was basically deserted. She made her way to the bar, where one man sat, and from the looks at his he was devastatingly handsome. She sat down a couple seats from him and tossed her brunette hair behind her shoulders, her emerald eyes facing the bartender, ordering some fries and water with lemon. Sighing, Karah took her iPhone out from her pocket and selected Jodie, her best friend from New Orleans. After sending her a text, telling her how depressing it was here, Karah sat it down beside her.

Despite her hardest efforts, she turned over to look at the mystery man. "What's going on out there? I just moved here, actually just arrived a few hours ago, so I'm sort of new." She said, angling her body at a more comfortable position to look at him. "I'm Karah. Karah Burrows." She said, offering out her hand but drew it back quickly. Oh god, why did I just do that? It's so old-fashioned! She yelled in her head, but she maintained her charming smiled as she faced the man. His piercing eyes seemed like they were staring deep into his soul, his skin so light and soft to the touch, and she was a sucker for rugged good looks. Karah caught herself thinking thoughts she shouldn't be thinking, especially with a stranger, and brushed them off. For God's sake, she didn't even know his name!

Elijah had left Mystic Falls briefly after they caught Rebekah. He tried what he could, but there wasn't really a lot he could do. After lots of thinking, he decided to just go back. Niklaus was still there, and Elijah had no doubt in his mind he would try something destructive. So, after much consideration and arguing with himself, Elijah came back to Mystic Falls, but he needed to find Elena first. He strolled through her neighborhood, where there were no police, but he couldn't catch on with her scent. Frowning, Elijah figured they left, which was a wise choice. A new vampire in a town full of mainly humans wasn't such a great idea. They wouldn't be gone long, though. Elijah knew that, unless they have already been caught.

Elijah stopped, raising his head in the air, closing his eyes. He caught a scent, not Elena's, but a more.. alluring scent. Elijah followed it, and it led him to a woman. Blond silky hair that looked soft to the touch fell down in her back in cascades, her outstandingly beautiful eyes searched, but for what? Her supple body had curves in just the right places, her skin glowing. Elijah strolled towards her. "Excuse me, may I help you? It's not safe for a woman to be wondering the streets when it's dark, especially one as beautiful as you." Elijah commented, giving the girl his most charming and best smile. "Let me walk you home, or to wherever you may be going." He added on. He didn't know what it was about her, but he wanted to get to know her more. The Elena and finding his sister thing would have to wait until the morning, it would be safer, more unexpected for the police.

Emily continued her walk. She had been walking around for a while, knowing that she would eventually find her way to the small house on a corner that she had found just before she decided to move to Mystic Falls to find the Originals. She was taken slightly aback when a rather attractive man came up to her and she gave him a dazzling smile. "Thanks for your concern," she began, "But I can hold my own." she assured him. "I would like the company though, so I guess it's a bit opportune that you happened by." That didn't show her real age at all, but she was play it off. "Sorry, been reading Harry Potter like crazy, it's making me start to talk like it too. Oh, where are my manners? I'm Emily. You are?" she inquired holding her hand out to the man.

The moment his hand connected to hers she felt it, and she looked up to him. He was a vampire, but she wouldn't let on like she knew and just gave him a gentle smile. "So, I guess I can be honest. I am a little bit lost. Just moved here a few days ago and was a bit of a hermit while I was getting the house set up, and my first time out to explore, I get lost. I just know my house is on some corner, I know the way the house looks if that's any consolation." she said to him. Why did all vampire males have to look so great. He looked very well put together, very level headed. "I can offer you something to drink when we get back there." she offered.

That was something she had in common with vampires. Her love of alcohol.

    -&-

Klaus was glad to be at the Mystic Grill for a while, and as he drank he looked around. It was fairly empty, probably because there were people going around picking up all the stray vampires, and he knew he was safe for two reasons. One, he was the Original hybrid, and two, he had been "confirmed dead" not but a few hours ago. He sighed a bit and continued to drown in his drink before a pleasant voice filled him, and a rather nice scent as well and he turned a little bit. She was a subtle mix of brunette and blonde with brilliant eyes and she was new. He gave a smirk and answered. "Some animal is on the loose in the town. It's been attacking the town's people. They're out looking for it. Also catching all the underage drinkers." he chuckled slightly and he accepted her hand.

Rather than shaking it, Klaus pressed his lips to the back of her hand. "I'm Niklaus Mikaelson, but I prefer Klaus. Pleasure to meet you Karah." he said to her. He was sure his accent would through her off at some point in time, but he didn't much care. "Where did you move here from? It seems like Mystic Falls has been getting quite a lot of new faces as of lately." he said.

It wasn't totally a lie. His family had returned, Katherine had been here and there, and not to mention there had been people visiting and others not visiting so much. He closed his eyes and looked to the other end of the bar as a tall black male came in and saw down. Wearing... baseball gloves? That was odd, but Klaus didn't much care about him and he looked back to Karah, awaiting her answer.

Karah smiled as a light pink blush painting her porclein skin. "Um, it's nice to meet you, Klaus." She stammered. She really needed to stop sounding like a lovesick teenager. Karah shivered slightly when he mentioned there was an animal on loose. "That's horrible, do they know what it is yet?" She asked, taking a sip of her lemony water. She smiled at his light humorous joke. "Well, I'm not a big fan of getting drunk, though I do like to let loose sometimes. Usually me ending up drunk ends in a crazy ass night." She commented, taking another swig of water. She noticed his accent, and Karah always had a soft spot for that British accent. Or was he Australian? She always got the two mixed up. "I'm sorry, if you don't mind me asking. Your accent.. it sounds British, if I'm correct?" She asked, staring at him. She didn't want to look away, afraid he'd leave or that he was unreal. Anyone that looked like that had to be unreal, right? "That was a stupid question.. I just can't tell the difference between British and Australian accents." She admitted sheepishly, glancing away from him, her cheeks on fire.

When he asked why she moved her, Karah sighed. "My mom got transferred here, she's a doctor, neurosurgeon. She heard they were short staffed here, so she offered to help out." Karah said. "I came from New Orleans, where I was born and raised." Karah stated, popping a french fry in her mouth. Karah followed his gaze to a black man that walked in. She didn't spot his gloves, however. "You know him?" Karah asked, turning back to Klaus as she ate another fry. "How long have you lived in Mystic Falls?" She returned the question, sipping on her water, gently nibbling on the straw, her eyes looking into his. Just glancing at him sent her heart racing. Dammit, why did she feel this way with a complete stranger?

Elijah gave the woman a lopsided smile. "That's what they all say." He added on a light chuckle. Elijah nodded and held his hands up. "I'm not judging." He said and nodded as she introduced herself. "Emily. I love that name, it's so old fashioned but I don't think it'll ever get old." He said, walking beside her. He knew what she was, he could tell when their hands made contact. "I'm Elijah. Elijah Mikaelson." He said, glancing at her. "It's easy to get lost when you're new. Mystic Falls isn't the biggest town, but it is easy to get lost. You can go ahead and described the house to me, but I'm pretty sure I know which it is. There was only one vacant lot here." He chuckled as they walked side-by-side.

"I believe I'll take you up on that offer for a drink." Elijah grinned at her. "So, tell me, why did you decide to move to Mystic Falls?" He asked. "Personally, I wouldn't have chose to pick here to live. So much.. drama, I guess you could say." He said with a soft sigh. "But overall that, it is a small and quite town, back in the day it was a great place to live and have a family.. or so I've been told." He quickly added on.

Emily looked to Elijah as he spoke out of the corner of her eye. "My mother loved the name, my father was trying to name me Mary. Mom threw a fit, from what he said, and told him that Emily was a much more suitable name and that I would be the eighth Mary born that year." she rolled her eyes, and she looked at him. Mikaelson? Wasn't that the last name the Originals had taken on? That just meant one thing. He was an Original. "But thank you, I'm a total scatter brain some days. I'd lose my head if not attached." she chuckled to that, and she sighed at his very last statement.

"You don't have to pretend, you know?" she pointed out to him. "Like you're not a vampire." she whispered the last bit before giving a coy smile. "I've been around long enough to tell you all apart, however, I've never been graced to meet an Original, so I must say this is new for me. Besides, I've heard it was quite nice here back in the day, hell, even in the 1800s it was nice here." she said, and she closed her eyes a bit, remembering. "But I'm here on business, if you must know. You would have found out very quickly upon entering my house that I'm a witch, so, why not get it out of the way now?" she pointed out and she gave him a gentle smile.

She looked up to him. "Why are they after all the vampires in the town anyway? I've been pretty out of the witch loop since I'm not necessarily their favorite." she admitted, and when they turned the corner she couldn't help but chuckle when she saw her house on the opposite corner. "Wow, apparently I wasn't too lost."

    -&-

Klaus looked to Karah as she spoke and nodded along a bit. "I am British, no need to beat yourself up about not knowing the difference. Not many people can tell the difference if they're not around the accent a lot." He motioned for another drink. She hadn't really taken her eyes off of him, but he couldn't say he minded, but when she asked about the man he shook his head. "No, he's new to town." he answered, "Like I said a lot of new people."

Her mother was a neurosurgeon. Nice, but when she asked about how long he had lived in Mystic Falls he was honest, "Off and on my whole life, love. I've been back in town a few months now. Had a rather tragic incident with my mum and dad. However, of all my siblings, I'm the only one with this accent. I went back packing in England for a while and picked up on it I guess." he gave her a brilliant smile, but he was making a mental note of the man at the bar and he felt his phone vibrate, and he sighed, answering it.

"Hello?" he asked. When he received no answered he hung up. "Wrong number, I suppose. So, you've just moved here. Do you think you'll like the town from what you've seen? I've seen a few people not make the transition to small town life well."

Karah took another quick glance at the black man, who was now talking in low whispers on his cell phone. She ate another fry, scooting the plate away from her. She didn't have much of an appetite anymore and she finished the last of her water. She nodded and shrugged when he asked about how much she had seen. "I actually haven't really seen much, it would probably be much better in the day." She commented. "I've always lived in a small town, so it's no big deal for me. Actually, I much prefer it over the city life." She added on, giving Klaus a shy smiled. She then checked the time on her phone and frowned, sighing. Karah stood up, facing Klaus. She closed the open space between them in two strides.

"Well, Klaus.." She paused, taking out a pen. She gently took his hands in her own, his touch was cool, but she felt something inside. Shaking it off, she turned his hand over and wrote a phone number down. "If you ever want to show me around, give me a call. I would love to have you as a tour guide." She said, looking up. Her eyes met his and she smiled. "It was a pleasure meeting you." She said, then turned and walked out the door. Grinning like a little kid, she walked over to her car, the black SUV was still there. Karah stood by her driver's door, digging in her purse for the keys. After finally finding them, she proceeded to unlock the door, but paused when she heard a snarl, almost as if it was beside her.

With her heart racing, Karah unlocked the door, fumbling slightly, but finally jumped in and started it up, tossing her purse in the passenger side. She then headed home, convincing herself that it was all just in her mind. After pulling into the driveway, Kara scooped up the few things that slid out of her purse and went inside. "Mom, Dad, I'm home!" She called out, she waited for their short response and went upstairs to her bedroom. Several boxes scattered over the ground, and she figured she'd have to do most of the unpacking tomorrow. For now, though, she'd settle with putting her bed sheets on and going to sleep.

After changing into a over-sized Rolling Stones t-shirt, she opened the window slightly so a little wind would come through, and then snuggled in bed. Her hair fell around her as she turned to her side, looking out the window. It was a full moon tonight, millions of starts twinkled in the dark sky, the wind blew her white ruffle curtains towards her. Karah could feel her eyes getting heavier, she was soon in a deep asleep, dreaming of the man she had met earlier. Niklaus Mikaelson.

    ~ ~ ~

Elijah smirked. "I believe Emily suits you much better." He said. He nodded. "I am some days too, but I try to keep myself pretty put together." He sighed deeply. "I figured you knew, is it that obvious?" He said as they approached the corner of the street. He chuckled. "Well, my siblings aren't like me.. they're more.. cruel, you could say." I admit, I had my days in the past, when I was still pretty new to all of this." He admitted with a shrug. Elijah closed his eyes briefly and opened them. "Ah, yes. It was paradise back then, not so many murders." He frowned then. Elijah threw his head back and laughed. "I already knew, I knew when our hands touched. You have a very strong energy, Emily."

"Ah, business? What would that be, if you don't mind me asking?" He said as they walked under a streetlight, he glanced at her as the light illuminated over her shiny hair. When she asked about the cops, Elijah looked over at her. "There was an... incident not too long ago, they figured it was the work of vampires, but I'm not sure what to believe myself." He said softly. He knew it wasn't his siblings that did it, it couldn't be. It had to be Alaric, he was the only plausible reason. With the whole split personality thing anyways.

When they rounded the corner, Elijah smiled. "It's a beautiful home." He said, walking her to the front door. Elijah just stood outside like a gentleman, hands clasped behind his back as he waited, or not, for an invitation inside.

Emily looked to Elijah and gave an inquisitive look. "Do you get that feeling from all witches?" she asked. It hadn't been the first time she had been told that she emitted a certain kind of energy, and it probably wouldn't be the last. She knew why she emitted the energy that way, and she walked into the house and turned on her light. She gave Elijah a look and a smile. "Come on in, what do you drink? I've got a little bit of everything." she told him and she walked into her small kitchen and climbed up on the counter to see exactly what she had and she pulled down a bottle of scotch and she looked to him. "I've got the scotch out for myself, but you're more than welcomed to a glass."

She had been purposely avoiding his question about the business she had to attend to for a few reasons, but once she got their drinks poured, she sat at her small kitchen table. "And as for the business, well... It's a bit complicated." she admitted with a long sigh. "I don't get told my whole task at once, just bits and pieces at a time. Through dreams. It's the only way I knew to even move here. My first task was to find the Originals and the Petrova doppelganger. From what I'm gathering though, something rather large had to have happened around here for there to be a huge vampire hunt going on." she said, "I can offer my assistance, to help you, my looks are very much deceiving to my real age and true power." she said, her eyes flicking towards out the window as a police car stopped in front of her house and she sighed. "This can't be good." she mumbled to herself, and when a knock came to the door, she stood up and walked over to the door. "Can I help you tonight, Officer?" she asked.

"I need to speak with your friend there." he said, motioning over to Elijah. "He fits the script to someone the town's been going after."

"I'm sorry, Officer, but you've got the wrong guy." she said, and he looked down to her.

"I'll bring you in for obstruction of justice." he said, and Emily sighed, a slight roll of her eyes following.

"Well now, I can't have that, can I?" she grumbled, grabbing hold of the man's hand and mimicking the grip she had on the previous officer. She waited until he was just unconscious, and she rolled her eyes. "Stupid humans." she said, feeling the energy run its course through her body and she turned to Elijah. "Mind giving me a hand getting this man to his car?" she asked with a smile creeping over her face.

    -&-

Klaus listened to Karah speak and he watched her leave after she wrote her phone number on his hand. He would definitely be speaking with her again, and he quickly took out his phone and saved the number in it, but he still looked over to the man across the bar. He was very, off-putting, it seemed, but Klaus couldn't be sure of the man's true agenda, nor could he be certain that he just wasn't paranoid because of what was going on in the town. After polishing off his drink, Klaus paid his tab and headed off towards the mansion. Perhaps Rebekah would have been freed by now, but as he walked he noticed something odd coming from up the street on a corner house. He could see Karah getting out of her SUV, but it was just a small ways up the street that he saw a police officer heading to the door of a house. A young woman with brilliant blonde hair answered and Klaus hung around and watched.

She forced contact and the man fell unconscious and he smirked, flashing to the doorway where he saw Elijah sitting inside, but before he could enter he was pushed back and the blonde was looking at him. "Brother, who is this?" he asked.

"Emily." she answered, dryly. "You're not coming in here... Unless you get that body back into it's car just over there." Emily said, and Klaus rolled his eyes and moved the body, swiftly and easily before reappearing at the door and giving her a look. "Sorry, I can't let you in, you see I have a quota of one Original... ever, so you're stuck out there. Goodbye now, have fun with you're own problems."

Klaus watched the door be slammed in his face and he grumbled as he headed back to the mansion. That had been his Original intention, but he had seen Elijah. At least he hadn't been captured, and when he returned to the mansion he checked on the two bags of Elena's precious blood. He looked them over before shutting their case and then his thoughts drifted back to Karah, briefly. He left again, and he climbed the tree nearest her window and he could see her sleeping form. She was naive... truly naive... She could be useful, but for the moment he knew that there were other matters to tend to. Ones that could wait a moment as her small form curled into a ball as she slept. He smirked. "Sleep, Karah. I have big plans for you." he said to himself.

Elijah just shrugged. "Most of them. Not all." He said. When she invited him in, Elijah stepped over the threshold, closing the door behind him. He looked around and smiled. "Your home is very, quaint, I like it." He said to her. He eyed the scotch and gave her a wane grin. "Scotch is my favorite." He said. "Gin is a close second." He said, helping himself to a glass. He sat across from her at the kitchen table. When she mentioned about the doppelganger, Elena Gilbert, he froze. "Well, I'm afraid to inform you the doppelganger wouldn't be of much use to you right now, possibly forever." Elijah said, somewhat bitterly. She was right about one thing- something large had happened. "As for the Originals, as you may have guessed I am one. My sister, Rebekah, has been captured and I'm unaware of where she's at. My brother Klaus, well, he's a different story. He's an original hybrid." Elijah informed, taking a sip of scotch.

He smiled, he knew she was much older then what she appeared, and her beauty was ageless, breathtaking. He looked out the window at the flashing blue lights and sighed. "Joy." He mumbled under his breath. Elijah stood up, ready for whatever, after the anticipated knock came on the door. Emily went to answer it, and Elijah stayed in the same spot. When the officer pointed his way, wanting to speak with him, Elijah straightened up. "I'm sorry, officer, but I'm unaware of what I may have done." He said blandly. When the officer refused to believe them and threatened Emily, Elijah said. Humans, when would they ever understand to just leave?

What Elijah saw next life him speechless. Was she feeding off his energy? He shook his head and came to. Before he could say anything he saw Klaus approaching them, standing at the front door. When Klaus asked him who it was, Elijah just sighed. "Niklaus, pleasure." He said in a sarcastic tone. He watched the confrontation between the two. When Klaus went to put the body in the police car, he faced Emily. "Now, you know the infamous Niklaus. My irritating half-brother." He said with pure annoyance. The past few decades he wasn't really close to Klaus, not like they use to be a long time ago. When his brother returned, Elijah let him know real quick he'd speak to him later before Emily shut the door.

"Sorry about that." He said, looking at her. "As much fun as I have had, I must be getting home now. It is rather late." He said and took Emily's hand, his lips brushing against the back of them. "I look forward to speaking to you soon, Miss Emily Graves. I'd be happy to help you with anything you need." He then finished his scotch and left, getting into his silver vehicle and heading to the manor.

When arriving, Elijah walked inside. He laid down and relaxed, closing his eyes, hoping to rest just a little bit.

Karah woke up around midnight, or was it later? She blinked a few times and sat up, looking towards her window. She noticed a silhouette, or was it just her imagination running wild.. again? Throwing the blankets off her, she stood up and walked to her window, raising it a little higher, poking her head out. "Hello?" She called out, but it came out in a soft whisper. The light breeze whipped her hair around her face. She drew her head back in, but cut her finger on a nail in the process. "Dammit." She muttered as a dot of bright red blood formed on her finger.

She stuck it in her mouth and sucked, closing the window with one hand, a few drops of blood left on the outside. She went to the bathroom and rinsed her hand under cool water, then put on a band-aid. Yawning, she went downstairs to make her a warm glass of milk before going back upstairs. Just when she was about to snuggle into bed once more, a thud was heard outside. Jumping, she got into bed quickly, pulling the covers up to her chin. God, how she hated sleeping in new houses. They always made the weirdest noises. She closed her eyes, drifting to sleep.

Emily smiled to Elijah when he went to leave and looked at him as he did something she hadn't had since she was young. Her hand had a kiss placed to it and he was gone and she smiled, watching him leave and waving. "Goodnight, Elijah." she whispered. She would take him up on the assistance later on, but for now she finished her night cap and put her booze back in the cabinet before placing her dishes in the sink and washing them before she headed back towards her bedroom. The house was nice for at most three people to live in. It had a large living area that she had set up with two single chairs and a nice couch. The kitchen was combined with the dining room, and the master bedroom had it's own bathroom with a large shower/tub. She enjoyed the house and the spare bedroom was being used as her library at the moment, but it had a small twin-size bed in there in case she did have guests. Her master bedroom was how she always set it up, and she loved the neutral tones.

She walked into the bathroom and began taking her shower, and when she was out, she was dressed in a pair of short black shorts and a white tank top with her hair up in a bun and her feet bare. She walked back into the kitchen and grabbed a lighter from one of the drawers and walked back into her bedroom and lit a few candles before she opened up one of her various books she had collected over the years. It wasn't a Grimoire before she just didn't want to bother with looking at magic right now, and she settled in under her covers and soon got up and began making herself some tea, leaning against the counter as she waited for the water to boil.

Her cell phone was on the counter in front of her and she sighed when another knock came to her door and she answered it. "May I help you?" she asked the man at the door, and he looked to her.

"Um, I'm sorry to bother you." the black skinned man asked. "I'm Connor Jordan." he said, extending his hand to her and she shook it.

"Emily Graves, can I help you?" she asked and when she felt his fingertips she felt something. He was supernatural.

"I was just curious if you had noticed anything odd around the area lately, Miss Graves." he said, and she shook her head.

"No, I'm sorry. I've been a bit reclusive the last few days, I just moved in and have wanted to get things done. Been living off pizza and delivery food." she assured him. "Sorry I can't be of more help."

"It's no problem, just... Give me a call if you see anything weird." he said, handing her a card and she nodded before she closed her door and locked it. She went back into the kitchen and after making her cup of tea she looked out to her small backyard. She'd grown all her magical herbs out there when she got fully settled in, and her mind drifted back to Elijah. She didn't know his phone number, but she had a feeling he'd find her tomorrow if something came up. She needed to look into this Connor Jordan man though.

Klaus looked around the area for a moment and then as the time passed, he just found himself watching the young woman as she slept, but when she awoke, he quickly hid himself in the shadows and when she closed the window he saw her blood on the outside of the window. He gracefully moved and brought it onto his finger and placed it in his mouth. Her blood was... Divine. Oh yes, she was definitely worth keeping around. He quickly jumped down from the tree and headed off to the mansion where he found that Rebekah was finally back, and he walked over to the bags of Elena's blood and looked at them.

"How dare you save that wench over me?" Rebekah exclaimed, and Klaus looked over to her.

"You are immortal, sister dear. A stake would kill her. Besides, no hard feelings." Klaus said to her as he looked at the bags of blood.

"We are supposed to be together, Nik, Always and Forever." she said and he looked to her.

"And you were just going to leave me desicated in a coffin, weren't you?" he spat, closing the containers where Elena's blood was, but almost as quickly as he had, Rebekah had the bags of blood. "Now, Rebekah, let's not be rash."

"I stayed behind because I hoped you would see that your family will always be there for you, but I guess you'll never see that!" she shouted and she burst the bags of Elena's blood and he ran over and snapped her neck and growled, lowly before he shook his head and headed upstairs where he found Elijah, lounging. He was rather angry with Rebekah, but he was also curious about his brother's little friend.

"So who was your little friend back there, Elijah? Because I really, really don't like her." he commented.

For those whom I RP with:

Alright, I know I've been gone for a long time, and I've been trying to get back, but currently I am having a lot of trouble coming up with any sort of creative muse for some of the things that I have going. Please PM me if you are still interested in the RP(s) we have and I will start trying to find my muse for them. If you want to start something new, I won't mind that either. I am sorry for this inconvenience.

Just as Elijah was about to drift into a light slumber, Klaus came in. Sighing, he rolled his eyes and sat up. "Yes, brother, please come in." He said sarcastically. When Klaus spoke about Emily, he stood up. "I do recall her mentioning her name to you. That is all that you need to know. Now, do I meddle in your business, brother?" He said, patting Klaus on the back. "Now, I am really very tired. So, if you don't mind I'm going to get some rest." He said, pushing Klaus out, closing the door behind him. Rolling his eyes, Elijah laid back down in bed, staring up at the ceiling. He didn't necessarily need rest or even sleep, but he did just want some time to think about her. Emily Graves.

A smile played on his lips as Elijah closed his eyes. He wished he could dream. He wanted to dream about her. Dream about getting closer to her in all ways. Next thing he knew, the sun was shining through the window. Elijah sighed, sitting up. He didn't really feel like he slept, but he did feel rested. Getting up, Elijah took himself a shower and put on jeans and a dark blue t-shirt. He walked downstairs and stepped over Rebekah, who was still unconscious. Klaus really did need to work on his temper. Two empty blood bags and blood pooled around her. He figured it was Elena's, so that was why Klaus went all bad brother on Rebekah.

Sighing, Elijah helped himself to a blood bag and drained it dry. After feeling satisfied, he picked out a book. He wanted to see her today, but he also didn't want to appear desperate. He opened up the book and began reading, it was Shakespeare's Hamlet, one of Elijah's personal favorites. Ah, he remembered when Shakespeare became big. Remembered getting the first ever copy of Romeo & Juliet. Not many people knew how big of a heart Elijah truly had. They just assumed he was dangerous. A blood thirsty monster. He had his siblings to thank for that.

Karah woke up the next morning with the sun nearly blinding her. She turned over to the opposite side to look at her clock and sighed. It read 8:43 AM, way too early. No matter what, she couldn't sleep in. She never had been able too. Kicking the blankets off her, Karah pushed herself up, rolling her head around, working out the kinks. She stood up, stretching her arms up in the air. After waking up a little bit, she grabbed a towel from the linen closet and walked into the bathroom, she had her very own bathroom and was so happy about it. She started the shower and undressed. She stepped in, sighing in relief as the water hit her bare back.

After showering and rinsing off, Karah grabbed the towel and wrapped it around her figure, putting another in her hair. She walked back in her bedroom, scanning through her clothes, which she still needed to put up, for something to wear that way. She finally decided on a pretty pink dress, lightly colored, and a matching jacket. After getting dressed, she dried her hair briefly and scrunched it, pulling and clipping her bangs back. The dress was lace over silk and stopped right at her knees. She slipped into white ballet flats and brushed her teeth, putting on some neutral make-up after.

After she was dressed and ready for the day, Karah went downstairs. Her parents were gone, which meant they had the car. Frowning, Karah made her a glass of juice and drank it. She really didn't feel like being stuck in the house, so she decided just to walk to town, they were only a few blocks away. What was the big deal? After rinsing her glass out and setting it aside to drain, she grabbed her purse and walked out, locking the door behind her. It was no time before she was downtown, doing a little window shopping, a small part of her hoping to run into Klaus, the mystery man from last night.
