History:
A sniper in the second Iraq war with the Navy, until he inexplicably transferred to the Air Force. Turnkey politics and political maneuvering, or so he thought at the time, ended him up working security for a facility underneath Cheyenne Mountain, but little did he know the truth about it all. For six months, he guarded the door, unaware of what was going on until tapped by General Hammond, and with instructions to follow him inside. The rest has been a whirlwind of trouble, adventure, and danger.
Three years past between then and now, and when names were offered up for the new commanders of headless SG teams, Michael’s was at the top of a very short list. His service record was exemplary, and his performance reviews showed an excellent solider who had two successful tours with SG 16 and SG12. SG7 will be his first time commanding an SG team.
Personality:
Easy going and professional, yet with a touch of a playboy streak about him, he’s definitely a unique one. He can be brash and head strong at times, and yet turn around and be understanding and willing to listen, depending on the situation and his own, personal take on it. He’s eager to venture out through the Stargate, hopeful that, out there.. he could do the most good for the most people.
His team is important to him.
He handles his problems himself, preferring not to lean on others, though he’ll offer himself up in situations of need. He’s a private individual in that regard, and yet not afraid to invite others into parts of his life not deemed important to him.
He’s a good understanding of hand to hand combat, as do most Navy Seals..
