Yeah, perhaps I need to rephrase what I said earlier. That Bulbasaur helped me reach the hall of fame in my first successful nuzlocke ever, where I never broke rule 1 or 2.

Fuck whoever voted for 4th gen, those are the worst fucking games of the series.

Honestly, the naming thing is more just who I see a pokemon being most like. Like if I were to catch a Buizel should I play D/P/P, I would more than likely name it Ace. Buizel are some cocky-but-high class mother fuckers.

I'm a "Gen-less" kind of guy, I think all Gens have their fare share of awesome and shit. I do however think of in terms of design, and general ideas that Gen4 is one I particularly don't care for as much as the 5th, or 2nd Gen. They did have some really cool Evos though, in my opinion.

I went with HG/SS because that's the first game I Nuzlocked and I think it has a good amount of content to play around with plus the universal appeal that would make people much more inclined to follow it.

No, it has nothing to do with my and AngelKitten's mutual love for Espeon.

This is basically what I meant, I find Gen2 as the better games mechanically. The story was interesting but did not feel over done as later gens, the pokemon designs were great and had just enough variety to keep me looking around for more, and the game itself felt more streamlined in execution and less bulky than some of the later titles. But that's just how I feel, everyone has their personal favorites.
