It takes place in the United States, somewhere in the near future. After a civil war—known as the Second Civil War or the Heartland War—is fought over abortion, a compromise was reached, allowing parents to sign an order for their children between the ages of 13 and 18 years old to be unwound—taken to "harvest camps" and having their body parts harvested for later use. The reasoning was that, since 100% (actually 99.44% taking into account the appendix and "useless" organs) was required to be used, unwinds did not technically "die", because their individual body parts lived on. In addition to unwinding, parents who are unable to raise their children to age thirteen for retroactive abortion have the option to "stork" their child by leaving it on another family's porch. If they don't get caught, the "storked" baby then becomes the other family's responsibility.

Bio: Nikki knew she was getting unwound from the start. She hated it. She had three other siblings. All her life she tried getting attention from her parents, doing a sport, earning good grades.. nothing worked. She knew they wouldn't give her attention because she knew they already signed the papers.

Bio: Ashton was raised in a family of five, three children including him and the parents. and he was the third. His parents paid more attention to the oldest and youngest, leaving him in the dust. As he got older, he began to get tired of it. he reached fourteen and just began to do anything to catch his parents attention. He got into fights, did everything his parents hated. His parents hoped that he would change, but after two years they gave up. They filed him for unwind.

Personality: Outgoing; likes to show off, often acts recklessly. Usually nice, but can be very sarcastic and pessimistic.

Bio: Jenna grew up in a fairly normal household; her parents were average, middle-class citizens, she had a younger brother named Soyer, and a cat named Kali. She was just a normal kid. She got good grades in school, worked hard, and had nice friends. Around the age of 13, she began to notice that she never got any sort of acknowledgement from her parents when she did something well. She decided that she needed to lower their expectations, and basically began to slack off. Her parents, who couldn't stand not having a "perfect child," sent her to a harvest camp.

(Just so you know, "IC" stands for "In Character". That's where the actual roleplaying happens. The OOC is "Out Of Character", and that's where you would normally put character sheets and discusions about things happening in the RP. Also, you might want to add a "Bio" section to the CS. Just an idea! )
