    Ganz Sinsam Und Verlassen (OOC)

In der Heimat wohnt ein kleines Mägdelein und das heißt: Erika.

    Year: 1945.

Germany victorious! In 1941, Adrian Stapf, a Heer general assigned to Denmark, and fifteen other high ranking Kriegsmarine, Heer, and Luftwaffe generals, along with civilian leaders, seized control of the Third Reich. Hitler was killed by Armaments Minister Albert Speer and Field Marshall Erwin Rommel on the eve of the coup. After the coup succeeded, most higher-ups of the Nazi Party were executed. Others in the Wehrmacht and public silently cheered as their Führer and his allies were hung. Adrian Stapf was briefly in charge before handing control over to Bernd Seifert, an up-and-coming civil servant. He signed a peace treaty with the United Soviet Socialist Republics (U.S.S.R, or Soviet Union) and officially ended the Holocaust. This took, however, much arm-bending. Any SS officers and generals found guilty of crimes against humanity were executed. With the British driven out of North Africa and the Arabian oil fields, the Germans were able to secure an oil supply.

1942. The Germans launched a full-scale invasion, code-named Unternehmen Seelöwe, of a war-weary Britain. Their forces, after being beaten for four years, were steamrolled as Germans took the majority of Britain. They finally capitulated in August of '43, when Winston Churchill saw that Britain, the largest empire in the world, was beaten by Germany. However, instead of a situation like France had been under Hitler, Stapf, now the Reich War Minister in newly re-instated Reich War Ministry, started a process of peaceful integration into Germany. In just a short two years, the integration process has been an astounding success.

On the Pacific Front, the Japanese fare far worse. With the Germans not really caring about their useless ally, and the Americans repelling them back much faster than in the original history. However, the Americans have not declared war on the German Reich, but have not had diplomatic contact with them since 1943, after the capitulation of Britain. However, the Americans have begun to fear the Third Reich, and the potential of an invasion.

1944. The Germans now own the majority of Europe, save the Soviet Union, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and their countless protectorates. But, the times are changing. With the United States now a power to be reckoned with, the Germans must be prepared for anything. The Soviets are in an uneasy peace, with both sides having a mutual distrust, and the Americans, who fear the power of the Reich. With their territory in Europe, now pacified, they must be on the lookout for an American, and Soviet, invasion of the Fatherland.

In the middle of March, the Reichstag decided to annex their protectorates in the Balkans and Eastern Europe. The only independent allies of Germany that remained in Europe were Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Ireland, Finland, and Italy. In July of 1944, the Soviets accused the Finnish of destroying the Gnevny-class destroyer Gremyashchy, which was actually destroyed by revolutionaries, as the Soviet Union was going through domestic unrest and dissent. The Soviets launched an invasion of the Finnish, and the Reich responded with a withdraw order, which was promptly ignored. The Germans invaded the Soviet Union in Unternehmen Rösselsprung, which caught the Red Army by surprise. The Soviets, upon facing defeat, ceded the Baltic Republics, Belarus, and everything of Ukraine west of the Dneiper.

The year is now 1945, and the Reich has only one enemy in the world left: The United States. With both nations entering a period of increased tensions, the Kriegsmarine decided to base a regiment of the newly formed Marine Stoßtrupp branch of the Kriegsmarine on the Teufel Island Chain, which was roughly in the middle of the Atlantic, hoping to be the early warning system of the Wehrmacht.

This is the story of the garrison of the third and smallest island of the Teufel Islands, part of the 4. Marine Stoßtrupp Regiment

(OOC In-Character Backstory now narrated by Rigi!)

    House Rules:

    1) Follow any and all directions given to you by me or my Co-GM (Gunther.) If we suggest that you change something, please change it.
    2) This is not a Nazi-glorifying RP. We certainly do not what it being turned into such. I, nor any of us, approve of the actions taken by the Nazis, the Gestapo, and the Schutzstaffel from 1933 to 1945 where millions died.
    3) Be realistic. This RP isn't about how over-powered you can make your character, so don't make him be able to fly a Me-262 Schwalbe whilst shooting two StG-44s and bedding a beautiful French dame. It just doesn't work like that.
    4) I request that you use proper grammar. A screw-up with the German or any 'Non-English' words is understandable and I'll let that slide, but please try to keep what you can help up.
    5) If anyone has roleplayed with me before, I don't really do 'Post Orders,' however, I do something of the sort. Basically, you post, then I post, and another person posts. After two people post after you, you may post again. I will, however, lift this rule temporarily if there is a lack in posting.
    6) If you are going to drop or go on an extended (Three Days+) leave of absence from the site, and in the former's case, the RP, any time soon, I suggest you warm me head in advance, so I can plan to edit you out/put you on a bus.
    7) Be serious. This is a serious topic. I don't want you lot acting like fools.
    8) Your posts should be a paragraph or two with reasonable detail.
    9) Have fun! We're roleplaying, so please try to have as much fun as possible, while follow these rules set in stone.

    Name: Manfred H. Schäfer
    Age: 28
    Appearance:

    Rank/Duty Position: Unterfeldwebel/Assistant Squad Leader

Biography: Manfred was born in 1917, in Schonberg, about 15 Km northeast of Kiel, the Kriegsmarine HQs. Manny as he is known by his three brothers, Herman, Alfred and Hans and by friends was a loud and boisterous boy getting into trouble frequently and fights with school chums. Swimming, fishing and spending time on the Baltic were normal activities for the four Schäfer boys during the interwar years.

Herman Schäfer enlisted in the Kriegsmarine in 1939 and served aboard Bismarck until his death; he went down with the great battleship on 27 May 1941. Alfred Schäfer enlisted in the Kriegsmarine in 1940 and served with a coastal anti-aircraft battery in Norway. Hans Schäfer joined the Luftwaffe in 1941 serving as the only officer in the family. Hans flew Bf-109s and later FW-190s. Eventually, he flew the ME-262. He currently holds the rank of Flieger-Stabsingemieur (equiv: Major) commanding first squadron, JG52 based in Brussels (ME-262).

Manny got caught up in the Nazi party and the Waffen-SS. He was selected to join the Schutzstaffel (-SS). He completed SS training at Bad Tolz and was assigned to SS-Verfügungstruppe (SS-VT) in early1940. He served as a rifleman and later as a Machinegunner. By 1941, the SS-VT was redesignated 2nd SS Motorized Infantry Division (Das Reich). Manny was assigned to SS Infantry Regiment Deutschland for Operation Barbarossa where he earned the Iron Cross for actions outside Moscow.

Late in 1941, when the Stabf's coup occurred, Manny found himself on the wrong side of the fight. SS Infantry Regiment Deutschland was overrun outside Berlin. Manny and only a handful of survivors from his company were taken prisoner by the new Reich. He would spend the next six months in Luftwaffe Stalag 7 until he and the other for SS prisoners were allowed to serve Germany again. They had been re-educated about the negative effects of National Socialism and pledged to protect the new Republic.

In 1942, he served with the 11th Wehrmacht Infantry Division, I Corps, Rommel's 18th Army for the Siege of London and later during the drive north along the coast protecting von Paulus' right flank. He spent time on occupation duty with the 2nd Grenadier Regiment. Prior to the Stabfs Coup, the 11th Infantry Div served under Rommel in North Africa with his II Afrika Korps. Manny had a difficult time fitting in with the veterans of North Africa and stabf's coup especially with his experience in 2nd SS.

Finally in 1943, he transferred to the Kriegsmarine with the help of his brother Herman. His brother easily convinced the Kriegsmarine that Manfred was no threat to the German Republic and should be allowed to serve. Initially he served in an anti-aircraft artillery battery like his brother. But when the Marine Stoßtrupp branch of the Kriegsmarine was formed and they began looking for volunteers, Manfred Schäfer jumped at the chance. His transfer to the Marine Stoßtrupp was complete in the summer of 1944. Once in Stoßtruppen uniform, he was given a promotion to the rank of unterfeldwebel. He is currently assigned as an Assistant squad leader on the Teufel Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. When discussing his past, he conveniently leaves out the part about serving with the SS and the six month stint in a Luftwaffe prison camp in 1942. He will often times brag about his experiences in England with Rommel and the 11th Infantry Division even though his comrades didn't exactly trust him.

    Service Record:
Operation Barbarossa - Iron Cross, 2nd Class (doesn't wear this)
    Wound Badge (Black)
    Eastern Front Medal
    Operation Sea Lion Medal
    Britain Medal

    Name: Helmut Trausnitz
    Age: 34
    Appearance:

    Rank: Stabsfeldwebel
    Biography:
Helmut Dietrich Trausnitz was born in Heidenheim, in the Kingdom of Württemberg, of the German Empire in 1911. His father, a carpenter, signed up for the Imperial Germany Army and served as an officer on the Eastern Front. When he was transferred to the West, he lost two fingers and was honourably discharged, but could not work any more. He had two older brothers, the eldest of whom, Wolfgang, served in the Kaiserliche Marine was killed at Jutland. His family were struck heavily by the loss.

When the Nazis came to power in 1933, Helmut was 22 and a patriotic German. He thought the things Hitler promised, such as reoccupying the Rhineland and making Germany strong again, made sense and supported them. Working at a dead-end job in a bakery during Depression-era Weimar Republic was horrible, he signed up for the Wehrmacht, and was promptly assigned to the Heer, as an infantryman. He was part of the Anschluss and the Sudetenland annexation. After Sudetenland, he volunteered for the Condor Legion, where he helped the Nationalists fight the Republicans in Spain. Then, he was part of the invasion of Poland. After Poland, he served with distinction in the Low Countries, France, and in Greece. After Unternehmen Barbarossa, he was part of Army Group South, and fought Soviet troops in the Ukraine.

In Stapf's coup, he was discreetly rotated to a detachment of soldiers fighting elite Waffen-SS troops, part of the 3. SS-Panzergrenadier Division 'Totenkopf,' in Spandau and Haselhorst. After the Nazis were toppled, he was transferred to the Kriegsmarine Marine Stoßtrupp branch, where he trained endlessly for the inevitable invasion of Britain. When it finally came, he landed in Suffolk with most of the marine detachments, and linked up with the main army when they struck at Peterborough. When the British capitulated, he was engulfed in heavy fighting during the Battle of York. He was not transferred to Russia for Unternehmen Rösselsprung, as the majority of the Kriegsmarine Naval Infantry were kept in Britain for anti-guerilla operations.

After that, he was transferred to command a squad of soldiers at the smallest island in the Teufel Island Chain, Emke.

Service Record(You may use medals, just be reasonable about it.):
    Anschluss - Anschluss Medal
    Sudetenland Annexation - Sudetenland Medal
Condor Legion/Spanish Civil War - Spanish Cross, Bronze with Swords
Fall Weiss/Invasion of Poland - War Merit Cross with Swords.
Fall Gelb/Invasion of the Low Countries - Close Combat Clasp, Infantry Assault Badge (Bronze)
Unternehmen Marita/Invasion of Greece - No Awards Issued.
Unternehmen Barbarossa - Iron Cross, 2nd Class, Wound Badge (Black), Eastern Front Medal.
Stapf's Coup - Iron Cross, 1st Class, and Wehrmacht Long Service (Fourth Class)
Unternehmen Seelöwe - German Cross in Silver and Anti-Partisan Guerrilla Warfare Badge, Britain Medal.

Are we doing a platoon, like the last go around?
    A platoon - 40 - 50 soldiers should be intimate enough, eh?

Nein. We'll do a squad, so we don't have a whole mess of NPCs.

Oh, all I ask for you guys is not to add your ranks just yet. Gunther is working on a rank table.

I added the squad organization in the 2nd post. I used the PzGr squad organization as we used for the previous RP. The changes I made were to add the Kriegsmarine ranks, add two Scouts (Jagers) equipped with StG44s, change the weapons to StG44 and K43s instead of MP40s and Kar-98ks, and also replaced the older Panzerfaust 30s with Panzerfaust 150s which were available at the end of 1944 for issue in 1945. With the addition of the two Jagers, this brings the squad total to 12. If you want, I could replace the two riflemen, and make them scouts and eliminate the Jagers or leave it alone.
