Overspawn: Progeny of Evil (roleplay inspired by Overlord game-series)-SPOILERS

    Evil always finds a way.
    - Gnarl, Minion Master and devoted Servant of Darkness

Since the fall of the Glorious Empire and the death of "Emperor Solarius", the Overlord's Dark Domain has spread and flourished as the Demon Lord of Nordberg conquered new lands and dominated their inhabitants. His armies swelled in number with each new lifeforce harvested. Slave-powered industry resulted in well-equipped Minion hordes and years of chaos and destruction trained their simple minds well. Efforts have been made to retrieve whatever valuables that were left in the Old Dark Tower and to bring those artifacts to the Netherworld. Beast pens were built in the Minion Burrows to further bolster the forces of Evil and there were attempts made to reestablish Overlord's power over the mutated Minions, infected by the magical plague.

But, happy endings exist only in fairy tales. His "dalliances" with his three mistresses in between many projects, which mostly involved diplomatically hacking limbs off the opposition, ended up in several new Overlads and Overlasses coming into the world. And his mother, Rose, decided that she would live in the Netherworld Tower with him and his mistresses now that she has grandchildren and there's just no saying "no" to your mother - even if she did abandon you to pursue a career with a new husband who later got devoured by a magical ooze monster. That's a completely different story.

After years of listening four women constantly blabbering about children and upbringing and what-ever-not, the Dark Emperor went on a campaign to get some break from all that "family life" with Kelda, Juno and Dark Fay, but hasn't replied to Gnarl's messages for quite some time nor can he locate the Overlord. The fact that the elderly Minion Master has been feeling a familiar energy that he can't quite rightly place for some time now worries him greatly.

Maybe it is time to take the reigns once more and train the Overspawn to become worthy heirs of their father's Domain if things turn for the worse?

    ------------------------------------------------

The idea behind this RP is the continuation of the Overlord saga, but with a slight twist. As the Overlord of the second game started out as the Overlad, so shall the roleplayers, only with the additional option of being an Overlass, the current Overlord's daughter. The maximum age for characters will be twelve, so some options (like having a mistress) won't be available.

What you may expect of this roleplay are humour and family-related hijinks, plus greater freedom that comes with not being constrained by video game shackles, along with lighthearted Evil with capital E for emphasis. Also, as I will act as the GM for this RP, the NPCs like Gnarl, Giblet, Rose and many others will be under my control and I myself won't have a character. If you would like, the game may be built around your characters being members of an All-Evil Party aided by Minions.

What I demand from the interested parties is literacy, clarity of writing and, if possible, wittiness - the last is not obligatory as Overlords tend to be silent and no-nonsense types. Chaotic Stupid and Stupid Evil as alignments and LOLRANDUMB in place of humour won't be tolerated.

Now that you know how much of a fascist I am, anyone interested?

Either idea would have been great. It's depressing how nobody wants to play this.

It was the underage aspect that turned me off. I was quite happy to "grow up" in the game. I love those crazy little critters. It's just a shame they couldn't come up with a better means of controlling the minions like formations and what not.
