Thalmor blood flowed onto the ground around Muahul's feet. Muahul quickly closed the distance between himself and the last Elf, grabbing him by the shoulder and pushing him to the ground. He then turned his attention to the person who killed the Thalmor. "Do not leave" he spoke in a very stern tone. The Elf did not beg for his life or put up much of a fight. Muahul respected the not begging part but was very disappointed that there was no fight. "Are there more?!" He roared. The Elf just looked at him. "Are there?" The Elf shook his head. "N..no, just us" the Elf was shaking a little bit. "Where is your camp". The Elf shook his head. "If you do not tell me where the camp is Elf, I swear I will make your last few moments in this world..." The Elf stopped him. "North... the camp is north. But there are twenty, maybe thirty, Thalmor there. Warriors, archers, and magicians. You would get massacred". Muahul grabbed the bow from the Elf and snapped it over his knee. He then drew his blade and rammed it through the Elf. The Elf fell limp as Muahul pulled his sword out. "Worthless". With the Elves dead and most of the immediate danger gone, Muahul turned his attention to the newcomer.

    "You better explain yourself, Elf".

Elrano watched as the other elves were quickly dispatched around him and a faint smile came to his lips, he just couldn't help when a well timed plan came together. Suddenly he remembered that he was in the presence of the group he had been following realizing that the Orismer had said something to him.

"Well that seems just a bit ungrateful for someone who aided in your continued freedom orc. Relax..."

He moved to show the orc the slave mark on his hand,

"...I'm a slave, just like you. I've been following your merry band keeping tabs on you and the Thalmor around you. As of this moment I have no intention of harming any of you. I'm an assassin by trade so I think that I can be useful to your troupe, that is if you'll have me."

Menelyn fell silent while the human spoke, the words only made her feel skeptical. It seemed that she was lying, by all appearances she was a bandit herself. Which would make her a very good liar, after all she was barely conscious and possibly injured.
“Get up” She demanded, shaking the girl as she fell back “you have to-“ Menelyn looked to the forest set alight. There wasn’t much hope for putting it out. Nor was time to be hesitating, still she remained hovered over the body. Something was wrong obivously with the girl. Safest option would still be to kill her. It would be a clean kill, fire would destroy most if any evidence. But Menelyn wasn't eager to do so. Few things would bring her to risk her own freedom, but unfortunately her faith was one of them. Already she had failed the green pact, only hours after returning to her home. She wasn't eager to disappoint again, and dragging a dead body for three days would itself put her at greater risk.

Smoke clouding her throat and eyes was a reminder of just how little time there was. Taking a deep breath, doing her best to stifle a coughing fit, she took the girls elbows and began to pull her along the beach, away from the fire to the forest. Thin as the human was, Menelyn was small, and struggled greatly even after dropping the sword. It took ten minutes for her to reach the very edge of the forest, some fifteen feet north of the fire. The girl was still unconscious, despite being in even worse condition than before. Menelyn herself felt on the verge of collapse, but forced herself to stand, gulping in clean air, legs trembling. She still needed to retrieve the sword. Bu no sooner did she walk out to the coast line, then fall back behind the cover of the trees.

With a surge of adrenaline and almost in a panic, Menelyn searched the girl for any sort of weapon. Food and water. She cursed quickly and climbed the nearest tree, stealing the girls supplies as she went. It took a few seconds to position herself in a way she could see, but two clear dark figures were walking away from the forest, to the fire. It wasn’t much of a view, but no more was needed, she was now totally defenseless. No way she would be able to outrun whoever it was if they spotted her, not then. Defeated, she leaned back on the branch and wiped the sweat and soot from her face before opening a pouch of jerky and eating it ravenously. It wasn't the place or time, but her hunger outweighed caution and all she could do was wait.

Debby woke up a bit later. Her nap wasn't particular restful, and she still felt absolutely drained and wasn't about to cast anything complicated, but she was able to at least stand up now with fainting. She wondered briefly if the little piece of her memory of being kicked by someone was a dream or reality, until she noticed that her side was bruised and hurting and she was robbed. She wondered if it would be morally correct to complain about it, seeing as she robbed said food first, but from bandits. She started looking around and noticed she wasn't where she was originally; she was a bit farther down the shore and out of reach of the forest fire she caused. Well, some bears would probably be angry with her, just as that Bosmer woman from earlier was.

Speaking of which, it took Debby a bit but she did eventually notice her up above her sitting in a tree, eating her - well, the bandit's - beef jerky that she rightfully sto-, er, borrowed permanently. She just then realized she was getting hungry. "Hey!" Debby spoke at the woman. "Thanks for saving me and all, but I'd like my food back please. Running for your life from bandits tends to work up an appetite."

Somewhat fed, and satisfactorily hidden, Menelyn was almost able to relax. Despite her best efforts, exhaustion overwhelmed her and for a few hours she continually slipped in and out of consciousness. Even when the girl awoke, she was dazed, and jumped when spoken to. She glanced down at the human with mild surprise, that she was still alive, and with her audacity. But even the small amount Menelyn had eaten was making her feel nauseous, and the last thing she wanted was to have to drag the girl again if whoever was on the beach was still searching. She dropped one of the small bags of dried meats and the water, hoping to perhaps silence the girl.

How much time had passed? It was difficult to be sure, and hour, perhaps more. The fire at least hadn't spread to them. Menelyn climbed to her previous perch, looking out along the coast. It was far past noon, the sun hung very close to the edge of the ocean. The fire was invisible from where she sat, but the burnt trees were still very much in view. Again, she felt angry with the human and herself for bothering to save her. Most importantly though, there were no signs of the figures she had seen before. Rather foolishly she lowered herself to the ground.

“Stay here, be quiet.” Was all she said before walking towards the ruined part of the forest’s edge. There was wet sand, as well as dozens of footprints in it, and no sign of fire. So she hadn't been hallucinating at least. No one came out from the trees, by all appearances, she was safe. It was a great stroke of luck, one that went under-appreciated. Menelyn searched the path she had walked, but of course the sword was gone. After a very brief tantrum of kicking the ground and swearing, she returned to the girl.
“You can walk? Get up, we have to move.”

The Bosmer woman had dropped her the waterskin, now half empty, and a small bag of jerky. Debby noted this was probably less out of the kindness of her heart and more to shush her, but she graciously ate some jerky from the bag and drank some of the water, before tying the slightly-emptier bags to her waist. Then the woman came down from her tried and shushed her, now more directly rather than implied, and searched around a bit for... something, before kicking some sand and shouting profanities, as if sh dislodged enough sand and was angry enough it would make her something magically appear. Then she said that they needed to move, and Debby decided to stop sitting and follow her, figuring that she'd be better off in the forest than Debby. After all, the woman was a Bosmer, who were known for living in forests, and Debby accidentally made one more burnt than the jerky she was carrying. And whoever cooked her jerky must've dropped it in the fire, because it was as hard as, and about as tasty as, a rock someone poured salt on. T'was still filling, though.

"Care to explain where we are going? And may I know your name? I'm Debilis, or Debby, if you prefer." Debilis found it a bit of an odd time for greetings, but she decided she might as well know her name. Debby thought it was getting annoying to constantly think of her as "The woman" or "The Bosmer" or, if she was feeling fancy, "The Bosmer Woman."

The girl still hesitated, despite the urgency. It wasn't surprising; Menelyn had threatened to kill her upon their first meeting. But trust was an impossible luxury at the moment, and she would keep the girl alive. Even if only to see her to pay for her crime. It was a bit ironic, a law-breaker as herself seeking to bring justice, but it was a different sort of crime. More personal.
“Menelyn,” She stopped and turned to the girl. Debilis, not a name she had heard of, unlikely a priority to search for. Unless it was an alias of course. Either way, she walk moving and didn't appear to be limping or in any serious pain. “We’re going south. Can you climb?”

"An assassin. That would be useful if we were prowling through a city but we are in the forest. You may follow, but know, if you cause any problems you will share the same fate as these three" he spits onto the ground near the bodies. "I'm Muahul, and the man is Bron" he looks over to the Nord for a moment. Muahul rests his hand on his sheathed weapon and looks around. The sun broke through the top of the canopy above, but the sun was lurking more towards the west. Night was approaching, and it would be upon them within the next few hours. Thirst was beginning to rear its head as well. Muahul walked over to the Thalmor captain, knelt down, and began searching. "Nothing, check those two" he said pointing to the bodies. With the sun setting soon, the group would need to find shelter or something close to it. Muahul pushed branches aside and looked into the forest. Everywhere he looked all he could see were trees, trees, and more trees, except in one direction. He could see a few hundred yards to the north, though he did not know it was north. He pointed north. "We'll head that way".

So her name was Menelyn. Now that introductions were out of the way, Mene asked if Debby was able to climb. "Climb? Do I look like I'm in good shape? I have to cast restoration magic to climb stairs," Debby snarkily replied. And that was on a good day. Debby was probably gonna have a hard time keeping up with Mene, but she'll have to try. "Don't worry though, I'll keep up so long as there's no big mountains to climb. Anyway, let's just get going already. Anywhere's better than here. Lead the way."
