Martin arrived at work after seeing his twin children off to school. With a doughnut in his hand, he signed in to work, and strolled into his office. Placing his breifcase down, Martin took yet another large bite of his doughnut, finishing it off. He licked his lips and turned on his computer, excited for another day of work. Seeing as noone had arrived yet, Martin decided he'd go to McDonalds and get some breakfast. He ordered 4 batches of 3 pancakes with syrup, smiling, he sat down at the table in the staff lounge and immediately tucked in. His phone vibrated in his pocket, which he pulled out to see it was a message from his wife.
HAVE A NICE DAY AT WORK BABY!! MAC AND CHEESE 4 DINER. FAT AND HAPPY LOL X it read, Martin smiled at the personality of his wife which shined through in the text. He loved his family, everyone was so loving, something which he never had as a child - his dad spent more money on drink than he ever did his own son, so Martin made sure he was always their for his kids - Tanya and Calvin, and his wife, Shaniya. Putting his phone back in his pocket, he decided he'd reply when he'd have time, when he was not eating. Taking another big mouthful of pancakes, Martin wondered when his colleagues would be arriving.
Luke arrived at work on his light blue Vespa, pulling his helmet off his head, his hair still remained perfect from when he had styled it this morning. Placing his helmet under one arm, he threw his back behind his back, and walked into work. Luke liked work, it was always so full of drama and it was always interesting when you got creeps asking for the weirdest things, and to watch bad parents scream and yell at their kids right in the middle of the cereal isle. He signed into work, and he too decided to get some McDonalds pancakes for breakfast - but only one batch. "Thanks," he said as he took his pancakes and entered the staff area, to see his boss Martin devouring pancakes as he spoke. He put his bag in his locker after taking his phone out, and sat down on a sofa tucking into his pancakes. "Hey boss," Luke said cheekily, Martin hated being called that, he didn't like the idea of thinking he was above people. Taking another light forkful of pancakes, Luke wondered where everyone was - more people were usually here by this time, but he figured it was a Monday morning.
