Digimon - The Parallel Visage [IC]

He was awake. For the first time in weeks, his master was awake. He ran to his side and knelt, awaiting his orders. When none came, he raised his gaze to his master's face. He didn't seem to notice him - he seemed to be staring off into the distance.

"My lord? Do you need anything?" Silence lingered in the air. Then, at last, he spoke.

    "They are here."

His eyes dimmed to black. His servant rose up.

"They? Who are they?" He attempted to rouse his master for an answer and received nothing - he had fallen back into unconsciousness.

He left his master's side to watch the entrance once more. All the while, he wondered: who had his master meant, and why had their presence finally reawoken him?

    ***

    "You're sure it was here?"

"Positive." The Piximon darted between the trees, eyes wide. The Marineangemon that trailed after her folded his arms.

"Are you sure you didn't imagine it?"

"I can think of someone who deserves that question more. Why don't you go ask him?" She sped forward, noticing the trees thinning ahead into a clearing. Had that clearing always been in this forest? She reached its border and came to a halt. Marineangemon crashed into her, sending them both to the ground. She still grinned.

"Well, well, what do we got here?" She pulled herself out from under Marineangemon and then offered him the blunt end of her spear to help him up. He accepted, muttering a thank you, and stared at the scene before him - four beings, no wings, no armor, dressed in few colors, all apparently unconscious. He then remembered her tales.

"Sister, I think they might be humans."

"Don't tell me you're buying her stories." Piximon flew towards the unconscious group, Marineangemon trailing after her. He lowered beside one of the beings, checking for injuries. When he found none, he looked back to Piximon.

"Do they look like any digimon you've ever seen before?" He poked the being's head.

"There's still the fact that humans aren't part of the digital world. How would they even get here?" Piximon noticed the shiny object sitting on the ground near one of them. She flew down to look at it more closely - it was circular, half black and half white, with a blank grey screen in the center and two buttons on opposite sides of the screen.

"Well, her stories said they're summoned in a time of need by the Digital World." He averted his gaze just as Piximon raised her deadpan stare to him.

"Bro. We live here. The Digital World is NOT sentient. Anyways-" She picked up the object and flew over to Marineangemon. She then noticed another one of the objects near the being's hand. "This one has it too? What are they?"

"May I?" Marineangemon held out an arm. She dropped the object she was holding into his grasp and picked up the other one. What if... As Marineangemon examined the object, Piximon flew up a few feet. The other two beings had similar objects on the ground near them. She grabbed them as well.

"Whatever they are, they each have one." She looked to Marineangemon. "Any ideas yet?" Marineangemon turned over the object, and his eyes widened as he looked at the pattern of dots on the back.

"Sister...this one has the stars of Ebonwumon." He looked up. "Do the others have constellations as well?" Piximon shrugged and began turning over the objects. The stars of Baihumon, the stars of Zhuqiaomon, the stars of Azulongmon. Her jaw dropped.

    "Whoa..."

    "But how-?"

"Who cares? I bet he'll go NUTS over these!" She grinned. He smiled back.

"He would, yes... at least today wasn't wasted."

"Damn right. And to think you doubted me." She glanced the humans' possessions over. "Think they have anything else?" She shifted the objects into one hand, keeping close to the ground for further "searching" and not paying attention to the humans. Marineangemon was - they were breathing a bit quicker. Waking up?

    "Um, sister?"

"Don't tell me you're still hung up on the human thing-"

Her head felt like a riot. Her vision was spinning around as if she had smoked a ton of cocaine. Everything happened so quickly and her mind was still trying to comprehend every event and moments. A discovery of a strange-looking, but interesting device inside her mailbox set off a chain reaction that saw her eyes receiving too much light for her sight receptors to handle. She wasn't sure what had happened, but when her tired eyes finally stirred, she promptly noticed that she was neither standing in front of her house nor standing on asphalt, for that matter. In fact, she was lying on grass and she was certain that no grass could live in the urban landscape of Tokyo.

"Nggh..." She groaned and picked herself up. If street life had taught her anything, it's that she shouldn't and mustn't lie in the ground for more than a minute or two. That window time was enough for any maniac to send her to the hospital. The first thing she noticed was two creatures, pink, comparably small in size, and capable of flight. The second thing was that one of them was holding the same device she found. While Hayley hadn't staked any claim to it, she was rather certain that it didn't belong to them either. At least, she hoped so. The third thing was that the other pink creature was watching them and to say that she disliked being watched was an understatement.

"What do you think you're looking at?" Hayley Summerland glared at MarineAngemon, teeth gritted and one hand clenched to a fist as she stood up. He didn't look hostile, but looks could be deceiving, as far as she's concerned.

Static.... Yeah, Static that's what it felt like.... Charlie felt extremely cold, her body was like an Ice cap. Charlie emerged from her small coma and looked around. Everything was... Well different. Where was she? How did Charlie get here? These questions raced around Charlie's head like race cars in a Grand Prix. Charlie looked around. "Where am I?" She asked herself. "No, that's a stupid question! The answer is nowhere! You ding-dong!" Charlie muttered to herself, smacking herself on the head twice. She shook her head, and looked around. "The first thing is to stay put!" Charlie ordered herself. She lowered herself down onto the ground she sat on, and looked up into the sky. "Such a nice day here...." Charlie thought, blinking for a few seconds, then opening her eyes. Charlie then soon realized, She needs to get going. She rocketed upwards, and got up onto her feet. "There's no point for me being lazy and expecting someone to find me!" She said, looking around. "ehhh.... Which way should I go...." Charlie pondered.

Darcy coughed and slowly started to open his eyes. He could see very vibrant colors that came across the sky. His eyes still adjusting, he flipped over on to his stomach and see grass similar to the soccer field he would play at. He looked at the sky again, now trying to reach his knees. He did that fairly easily, though his head still hurt. It seemed as if a hammer and gimlet were burrowing in to his head which he rubbed. Darcy sighed, and blinked thinking he was missing. Maybe some over sized bully had knocked him out before he got him, it never happened to him personally but sometimes to his buddies that took part in the computer club.
He looked around a few more times and noticed this wasn't anywhere near his hometown or anywhere else he knew. Possibly he was abducted. However that was highly unlikely for this particular child, as his parents weren't famous nor rich in any way, shape or form and he would have had to remember something from such an event. He pondered the possibilities ruling out most, they were mostly things such as sleep walking away which was quickly deemed wrong. He also thought that he was possibly sucked in to an electronic device as he heard about in movies or tv shows from friends. However he thought this was the most ridiculous idea he would have ever thought or deemed worthy of thinking.
With his stomach in knots, now worrying about where he was and when he got here, Darcy rose to his feet he felt his body shoot with pain from his legs to chest and he dropped, he went through something weird as he also felt a shock though out his body. Wait... He thought, was the possibility of him passing through an electronic higher. Now he really started to wonder how? He took in all the side effects; a pounding migraine, a sick stomach, sharp pains throughout his body, and small volts of electricity that passed through him, or so it seemed. None of it made sense with the thought of magically going though electronics, except for being shocked. Maybe he was transported through an magnetic field? That would explain his shocks but how?
For now, however, he shook of his thoughts and regained balance through standing. He walked around the plain of grass searching for somebody but he hadn't seen anyone or anything for miles, but he than said, "This is kind of neat..." And for now he wondered what he was destined for...

As she came to, the world around her took the form of a blur.
Her mind was probably still processing the shock of what had happened to it. One moment, she had been one place, doing something with a clear train of thought. A moment later, something had made her brain go ass-over-teakettle, and she found herself awakening in an unfamiliar location with a mental trainwreck cluttering up her head.
"..." She muttered soundlessly, pulling herself upwards into a sitting position as she took a look around.

A clearing in a thicket of trees. Five shapes nearby. Three humanoid. Two non-humanoid and floating in the air.
    ...
    Wait.

"What?" Ariel 'Ari' Jones asked quietly in disbelief to no-one in particular as her mind began to further piece together the situation around her.
Two of the humanoid shapes seemed to be conscious. One seemed to be wandering about obliviously, the other seemed very annoyed at the two floating shapes.
Both of which were fluffy and pink. And were carrying what looked like tamagotchi rip-offs.
    ...
"... What." She said again, this time as a deadpan mutter as her brain began to fully register the situation at hand.

Right up until a few moments ago (far as she could tell, at least), she'd been walking home from the shop with some 'supplies' for her older brothers and herself. She'd been in the area she lived and had grown up in, an area she went back and forth across most days of the week at various times. She'd been going to the shop that had been a convenient little outlet for her brothers and herself since as far back as any of them could remember.
And now she'd gone from that quiet, familiar suburban area to this increasingly hectic and chaotic (literal) neck of the woods.

Either she was tripping balls or she'd been attacked by the best kidnapper ever. Neither seemed a particularly nice option to her, considering she hadn't (to the best of her knowledge) consumed anything to make her trip balls, and that the fates of people who were kidnapped never tended to be pleasant.
But she held. No-one here looked or sounded like they were hostile- Aside from perhaps the one particular person who was annoyed at the floating shapes. And she seemed to be as confused as Ari herself was.

So, she got to her feet, and took her (unknowing) first steps in the Digital World.
"... Pardon me," She began towards the (now visibly blond and somewhat unkempt) humanoid shape and the two floating shapes, "But could you please tell me where I am?"

Hirayui slowly opened his eyes, not remembering exactly what had happened before. He hadn't remembered falling asleep... When had he gone outside? His hand brushed against the grass. It felt strange somehow. Then, his vision cleared, and he saw himself in a strange forest. There were other people around, but what he saw first were a pair if strange, pink creatures. In front of these was standing a girl who seemed rather upset about the fact that they were holding some sort of device, or several of them, rather. Then he remembered- the last thing he had seen before he blacked out: The blue device the pink creature now held.
"Hey," he spoke up, taking a firm step forward, "That's mine."
He wasn't sure why exactly he made such a declaration of posession, but he figured that thing brought him here, or was at least related, so he should at least give it a look.

Piximon turned as the humans started rising, eyes wide for a second in surprise. Ah. That's what he meant. She flew back a few inches, her shock quickly turning to annoyance at the blond girl's words. Marineangemon shrunk back at the hostility. and Piximon brandished her spear.

"Whatever he wants to, so shut up." She doubted this being was godlike. She could take her on. Didn't seem like the others cared, a one-on-one would be easy. Then the other girl approached, said something Piximon tuned out. Marineangemon heard, though.

    "Um, this is the Digit-"

"Sht!" Piximon shot him a warning look. "Bro, there's no point to it-"

And then the third one spoke up. Marineangemon paled - he knew they had robbed him. Piximon tightened her grip on her spear. She knew what Marineangemon was about to say, and maybe he had a point but that wouldn't make it any less annoying-

"We should've left after we grabbed them."

"Bro, don't even-" he directed her attention back to the young male. "Was yours, you mean. Now it's Necrowisemon's. Maybe you should keep better hold of your stuff." Marineangemon floated a little closer - she dropped the devices into his arms. He couldn't fight, and if they had to cover their swift exit...

    --

Charlie would be able to see for miles - around her was a dried-up wasteland, an ugly contrast to the deep blue sky over her head. In the distance appeared to be a city, partially obscured by an approaching dust cloud. Something sped out from it, rocketed past Charlie, and stopped behind her - it was red, with a black faceplate, a blue chestplate, and a pair of translucent wings. It held its position, its segmented tail aimed at her but not attacking. Meant to cut off her escape from the approaching cloud.

The cloud began to thin as it neared her, revealing a large, turtle-like shape. Though surely no turtle Charlie had ever seen would have cannons like those attached to its body....

"Uhhh....." Charlie stumbled for a bit. She then turned around, and looked at what appeared to be a giant Turtle like object moving towards her. Charlie was extremely confused. "Am I dreaming??" Charlie asked, scratching her head. She looked gobsmacked at the giant turtle that approached her. "Woah..... That's huge...." Charlie thought, looking at the giant metal turtle. "AND SO COOL!!!!" Charlie smiled like a kid in a candy store. If this was a dream, then Charlie would be the most excited kid in the world. Charlie then soon looked at the Turtle like machine coming towards her. She was a little bit afraid, but showed some courage to face the machine in front of her.

Darcy looked at the others as they awoke and strangely found that his hand was cold and it felt as if there was metal touching his hand. He gripped but found that he wasn't holding anything. Digivice... An odd word that came to mind, he seemed to remember hearing it as it came to thought so easily. He sighed and looked up, hearing a few people talking to some odd creatures that appeared to be floating. His eyes opened wide as he analyzed the things, though he couldn't seem to make a thought of what they were other than fairies. Then he came to a realization Wait, fairies? Honestly, I'm an idiot... but that didn't explain what the hell these messed up things were. However that was soon traced over by another major thought, or more a reminder, where was this. It seemed more clean than his more urban home.
Darcy started to walk over to the creatures, he didn't want to though it seemed he was compelled to walk toward the weird fairies, Ah, Christ. They're not fairies! He shook his head, almost regretting his stupidity. Again he stepped forward, wondering what was happening. He glanced around to see the other people, they seemed some years older than him though not adults they were definitely older. Finally he was standing before the flying pink creature that had angel like wings and a spear. He talked in a childish way, using bro a lot, something that Darcy took notice to but didn't think it was important. More or less annoying. He than look at the thing that was MarineAngemon
"Um, hi. Would you mind telling me where I am? I'd appreciate it," Darcy said, "I heard you say something, 'Digit'? Was it? You got cut off by this thing." The 'thing' he pointed to was Piximon.

"A thief with a weapon. Not surprised." Hayley scowled, now considering them as threats and enemies. "And who are you? My mom? Even that bitch isn't as annoying as you are." She retorted to Piximon, showing off her definitely-not-innocent vocabulary by instinct. Her anger now was directed more at her than her male sibling, who hadn't shown any hostility and looked like he wanted to melt into the ground and flee. He was about to inform them where they were, but the bratty pink pint-head cut him off, further irritating Hayley.

"You shut up, half-pint whore! Your so-called 'bro' has a good head on his shoulders." The blonde teenager spat at the pink, floating creature. She steadied herself, gradually shook off her dimension lag and glared at the two thieves. The blonde could only assume that the creature the speared one refer to as Necrowisemon was the head honcho to whom they answer to, given the information and facts she could process at the moment. However, when she saw the pink one dumping the devices, one of which now clearly established as hers, onto her brother's 'hands', she realized that they were about to make a getaway. Hayley was uncertain of how dangerous they were and if the other humans, whose presences she only came to be aware of after they spoke up, were capable of even the most basic self-defense. As such, she couldn't initiate the first attack on them for safety reasons.
