Fifty years before the circumstances leading to the awakening of the kishin Asura, all was not well at the Death Weapon Meister Academy. Odd events began to occur around the globe. With time, it became clear these bizarre happenings were related, and there was much more going on then anyone realized.
But before the scene can start, the players must bust be introduced...
Basically, the plot would revolve around a "new" kishin Vlad Tepes, who is reawakening and infecting the populace slowly with a blood madness that makes them act like zombies (Left 4 Dead style, not like Cid). There are also the machinations of the evil Bat Witch Elizabeth Bathory (Dracula's "wife"). This, of course, is knowledge to be revealed as the roleplay goes.
1. Um. Sure you're from around here?
All Site Rules apply here, needless to say. And while we do allow the occasional use of swear words, please keep all scenes regarding romance and violence PG-13.
2. LOL! w8, wat d0 u m34n?!
OMFG, LITERACY! This is a literate roleplay. That means no 'l33t' speak, no internet lingo, no actions in "**," and please for the love of God use spell-check. It is your friend. Everything should be in past-tense, third person format, like most all novels are. If you don't know what that means, we recommend that you leave right now and spare yourself the pain. Also, all posts must be at least two paragraphs (one paragraph consists of four or more sentences); if you're posting for more than one character, one additional paragraph must be written for each additional character, however, we reccommend you make an extra post per character (makes sense, right? Good). Now, we do understand that everyone has their bad days, but if you are constantly giving us one or two-liners to work with, don't be expecting to stay in this rp.
3. AND THEN I THRUST MY ULTRA-SUPA-WEAPON-O-DEATH THROUGH YOUR CHEST..
No godmodding, first and foremost; not only will we kick you repeatedly in the behind for it, but the other people in this rp will HATE YOU. That means everyone is around the same approximate power zones at the same time (with a FEW, and that means minority, exceptions cleared by us). Auto-hitting is also a huge no-no unless it is a minor NPC not under Hiro's control (no killing Death by sneezing on him, please). Reversely, please play it fair and let yourself get hit a few times. And no saving other people's character's life unless they ask you to in the ooc, pm, or rp (Don't you hate when people take some minor attack and push you out the way to say "I saved your life!" or some shit? It's annoying).

We will also be cracking down on Mary Sue/Gary Stu type characters. Caution: you need to remember that Michelle is a Mary Sue-- so please refrain from creating characters who are related to the original SE crew because we will not be accepting them (we are well aware that this is a time frame where there grandparents could easily be alive, but this is our story, not theirs). Also, please do TRY to follow along with the story; if we see you intentionally trying to turn this rp away from its original storyline and trying to make it about YOU, we will call you on it and strip away half of your powers.42-42-564

Uh. No, it's not. We don't mind if you post in big font in OOC, but please keep all in-character posts in size 9-11 font. It looks more professional that way anyway.

Now that all the basics are covered, please send all profiles to Platawan. PLEASE don't forget to include an appropriate RP sample along with your profile~ Remember, there are a few admins who will be judging whether or not you will get in based on your RP ability.
7. WHOO, I went to the Bahamas over the weekend!
If multiple people are depending on your character to post, you have one week to do so. If you don't post in that, you will recieve a warning/strike and those waiting for you to post will just skip over you and continue with the rp. :!: YOU HAVE THREE STRIKES BEFORE YOU'RE 'OUT.' ALL STRIKES ARE RESET AFTER ONE MONTH. :!: (This is not a threat. This is a promise!). Even if no one is depending on you to post, try to remain active and interact (in this case, we will still give you a warning if you remain inactive for more than a month and a half)! This is an rp and not a fanfic for a reason. BUT! If you're planning to go on a vacation or a hiatus, please notify Hiro and write yourself temporarily out of the roleplay so the others can continue.

Please title your pm "Soul Resonance!" to prove that you've read all the rules. But just because the password is here, you're going to be a good Soul Eater fan and still gonna finish reading the rest of the rules, right?
9. So my girlfriend told me the other day...
Please do not fill up this thread with unnecessary OOC junk. A seperate thread will be made if there's a need for one. However, one-to-two-liner OOC comments inside an actual post are acceptable and must be placed in ((these, or any form of the like)).

Um. Needless to say, there are some things that your character should plain NOT be allowed to do. Here are some current IC restrictions:
- -You may only take missions during specific times in the roleplay. Please make a note of that. Also, you may not create/take a mission that appears to be above your
- Soul resonance that creates a sustainable change in form may only last 3 posts. And resonances can only be used twice at most in a fight (unless otherwise stated by Hiro).
-Now, if you've actually read all of this, kudos to you! Highlight the end of rule four for the real password.
-Your character may not have more than two forms at most, and those forms have to be CLOSELY linked (pistol/shotgun, longsword/broadsword, etc.). The ability to shift between various weaponry is an ability passed down through Tsubaki's bloodline, and thus it wouldn't make sense for everyone to have it. If too many characters make use of the two form rule, It will be removed, so try and limit it to one.
-Witches should be limited in power, also: not every character can be hidden in the DWMA. Only a few witches ever did it, and one had no destructive impulse, and the other two were just nice in general.
-You CAN NOT have the entirety of a pairing unless there are no options and it's been a decent amount of time since your character has been created.
11. But I didn't see that before!
All rules are subject to change by decision of the thread admins. That means rules may be deleted or added at our leisure. So if we announce an important update either in here or in the OOC thread, I suggest you be a smart little piggy and check it out.
Feel free to tweak this as you see fit. Personalizing the profile makes for a more interesting read! This is just a base.
