If you're a college student, you're an independant young adult.
They can't make your job choices for you.

If they believe it's a sin to not apply where they want you to apply, they have absolutely no business making these choices for you. Not that they did to begin with.

Explain your independance and situation, and if they still refuse to listen to reason, just do it your way anyway.

If anyone cares, I submitted an application to one of the camps last night, just to get them off my back about it.

However, I'm also applying and calling around to a ton of locations both in my hometown and where I go to school. Hopefully something will work out.
