    The Host OOC

And here it is, for when we need it.
Well I'm a sucker for fine Cuban cigars, The problem is I can't afford 'em, But last year I went and got myself a whole box, And just to be safe I insured 'em

I took out a policy against fire and theft, And then I hurried home, With a fifty-cent lighter I sat on my back steps, And I smoked 'em one by one

Two weeks later I went to see that insurance man, And I handed in my claim, With a straight face I told him that through a series of small fires, They'd all gone up in flames

They reviewed my case and they had no choice, But to pay me for what I'd done, And I took that check and bought a whole new box, And I smoked 'em one by one

Two weeks later this detective shows up, Tells me that company's pressin' charges, One speedy trial later they locked me up, On twenty-four separate counts of arson

And now I sit and I stare at a blank brick wall, Lookin' back on what I've done, To pass the time I've got some ten-cent cigars, And I smoke 'em one by one

    No prob.

May I take control of the guardian for the fight? Otherwise we are going to get a lot of quick back and forth. Combat is fairly hard in role play, and I have had little practice with it. If you want us to give it a try, go ahead, I just can't promise it will end well.

Actually, scratch that. We are probably going to wind up doing enough combat in here that this practice bit won't hurt us. It may even help. As long as we are in a fight scene feel free to put the advanced standards I imposed into null. Combat doesn't lend itself to paragraphs.

Something you should know about me. When it comes to "chatting" I don't believe in the backspace button. It follows the real lines of a conversation better. Weird, but one of my ticks.

    Spore-kind = infected
    Destroyers = military
    .
Right now the Virus is just trying to get out and away from the strange infected who influences it strangely. The guardian is basically at your mercy. If you hadn't guessed the right arm fires projectiles.
The projectiles are organic and have four barbed spines that come together in a cone-like shape. Once the barbs are imbedded, the core flexes, the spines spread and the core thrusts inwards - presumably into a living body to quickly infect it.

Jah. Thank you for the (=)

One more thing. Be careful about using things/events that Jon would see/feel/hear directly. That borders on the dangerous relm of god-modding. I don't mind overmuch, but it still makes me flinch just a bit. Youu've done it twice so far...

Just be careful. Make things more vague, or copy directly what has already been said. Like:

any observer would be able to tell
    or
the projectile approaches Jon after he had jumped off the ceiling.

I was trying to match what you had said without just copying it in the first quote.
    .
Not being sure of the expliciteness allowed I said "he is able to determine" rather than the image in my head of "It shifts and a deflated bare breast sags revealing the body used to be female before all the changes."
    .
I'm not seeing how "the projectile approaches Jon after he had jumped off the ceiling." is significantly different than what I wrote except for leaving it open-ended. I wrote it the way I did to acknowledge the surprise move resulting in a failed counterattack by the guardian.
Are you sure you want to do that?

Sorry. Honestly, I'm not trying ti pester. I'm trying to gain my confidence. I'm usually very cautious of making corrections, and that has led to some... dangerous situations.

I realized after I edited that the roof example wasn't entirely appropriate, but I felt that the second one was significant enough to just leave it. Again, I apologize.

But, in all honesty, I am old enough to read about breasts. Really. I promise. I don't want explicit content, but I don't mind slightly... off-putting imagery.

Maybe I should go to sleep... Because apparently I am failing at functioning again...

I was being circumspect because other people can read this and I can't find the instructions for hiding text and didn't want to delay things even more by searching for it. I have bad luck finding things when I really need to.
I altered my prior post to match what you wrote.

Having never been in such a situation, I'm not quite sure how far a post can go in public...

    Spoilers:

open bracket ([) hider=Significant Text]And this is what you say. Yay![/hider]

Thank you - it's a little different on various sites. I had tried one version but the preview showed that it didn't work.
