It's a gang thang' [YuukiSuzuki and Lei]

Another day, another clash. Kaede didn't really understand the feud that was going on between the two most volatile gangs in the city that she unfortunately called home. All the young woman really knew was that they didn't get along, they didn't associate with each other and they most definitely didn't show each other any mercy. The red headed teenager had no feelings of hatred or anger for the other group, but as in most gang related scenario's, she'd been swept up in the constant brawling, and now she was stuck in the midst of it.

As a college student, Kaede had hoped that she'd be able to avoid most of the clashes by busying herself with schoolwork, but sadly she'd had no such luck. Even the college campus itself was being used as a fighting ground, and today was no different. Lines of people littered the communal parking lot as two burly looking guys scraped together. It was brutal, but it was the norm to these two groups of youngsters. There was blood, broken teeth and god knows what else surrounding the pair that were locked in the fight, both too stubborn to back down first.

The girls huddled near the back, trying not to see what was happening, as the guys mingled at the front, cheering their man on. It was more reminiscent of a Roman gladiatorial battle than a college parking lot. Kaede felt uncomfortable in her own skin as she chatted with a friend. Her red hair was tied up into a ponytail, and a pair of dark blue jeans hugged her hips perfectly. A pale green tshirt showed her curvaceous torso, and somehow managed to emphasise the colour of her eyes. Kaede was only half Japanese on her fathers side, her mother was English, and they'd moved to Japan for her fathers work. He was an architect, and the best opportunities seemed to be back in his homeland, so that's where the family of four ended up. It had taken a bit of getting used to for the seventeen year old, and of course her fourteen year old brother..but they both felt pretty much accepted by now.

Turning to her friend Aiya, Kaede wrinkled her nose. "Is it over yet?"

Shaking her head, Aiya glanced over the crowd, "No, doesn't look like it..I put money on the police breaking it up.."

With a sigh, Kadae nodded.."It's rare if they don't these days."

The fights were definitely getting worse, and all the girl really wanted was to go back home to England. Everything seemed so much more simple for her over there.

It always happened almost every day now didn't it? Endless fighting in parking lots or even collage grounds, not that this young man minded he was in Uni after all. Tsuchiya knew why they were fighting it was mostly always something pointles but having grown up with this lot hd had learned to live with their sometimes strange behaviour. He knew no side would show any remorse from the fight, nor would it end up one was either unconscious or dead. Most likely the latter he thought. Tsuchiya was amongst the middle of the group, seeing as most in front were taller than him and that was saying something. The young man continued to watch as the pair fought a small smirk remained on his features ad he did; they were like two bulls in a ring honestly.

Knowing that he was a University student, Tsuchiya or rather Tuti had a lot of free time on his hands; of course he still kept up with the work that he was required to do he wasn't stupid after all. Being his last year there he didn't have too much to worry about hopefully. Yet he still could not decide if he was looking forward to leaving or not, but this wasn't the time or place to think about that was it?

These dirt, blood, and broken bone ridden fights normally lasted around an hour but this was taking much longer than either side had expected neither fighter within the circle giving in, great. Turning to a friend of his Tsuchiya spoke. "Ne, Toshi any idea on who's gonna win?" the young man grinned as he asked. In reply Toshi merely shook his head. "If I knew you think I'd still be here?" Tsuchiya or Tuti rather shrugged as he answerd swiftly back. "Ya gotta point there."

As Tsuchiya stood watching the fight with the drawn out smirk he always seemed to have planted on his face. Considering he was wearing fairly comfortable clothing for where he was. Tuti was wearing a pair of black jeans with a plain short sleeve white t-shirt with an easy to wear black jacket over the top which covered most if his arms. His hair was really styled in any way, Tuti saw no point in it after all he normally ended up figting. Standing there watching he heard a shout from in front of him, from one if the gang he was apart of by the sounds of it. "Oi! Hijikata!" Yup, that was his call just wonderful what did they want now? " Nan des ka!?" ("What is it?") he shouted the words out into the crowd of cheers, soon hearing back for him to get down to the front. With a sideways glance to his friend Tsuchiya made his way forward towards the front.

Kaede groaned as the fighting continued, her pretty green eyes flicked to the clock that sat on the wall of the main building. Fabulous, she was going to have to try and get through this lot to make it to her Archaeology lecture.

"Aiya, I'll see you later!" With a smile, she squeezed through a small group apologetically. Her rather charming smile had gotten her out of trouble before. With a small smirk to herself, she frowned as she saw a group of people that she didn't recognise infront of her. They were clearly not with her group, but they were stood right where she needed to be. Could she pretend that she had absolutely no idea what was going on? Scratching her head, she bit her lip and switched to her English accent. Her fingers fiddled with her bag strap nervously as she approached the group, ensuring that she came from the opposite direction of the gang that she was affiliated with. Smiling politely, she tilted her head to the side as she sauntered up to a small group of guys.

"I'm sorry, but can I squeeze through? I have a lecture right through there.." Pointing to the door behind them, she smiled sweetly. Luckily, she found it easy to flick between English and Japanese with little effort. The guys looked at her for a moment, which made the butterflies dance around crazily in her stomach. One particularly gruff looking guy looked her up and down before speaking..

"Are you new? Haven't seen you around here before?"

"Yes, I am actually. That's probably why you haven't seen me around here before."

"You know them?" His finger pointed to the group behind her that she knew very well, almost intimately but she shook her head and opened her eyes wide in innocence.

"That's an awful lot of people to know, isn't it?"

He perked an eyebrow, he really wasn't going to let her in easily. They started to talk amongst themselves, which made Kaede feel immediately uncomfortable. Her hands slid into her pockets as she waited for a decision, pretending that she didn't understand a word of what they said.

As Tsuchiya moved to the front he saw the fight continue and soon heard someone speak beside him their leader if you will. "We don't gave much time left to waste, Hijikata just stop the fight." Tuti looked at him bewildered and asked. "Naze da?" ("Why me?") The gang leader merely glare at him and snorted. "Do you need a reason?" Tsuchiya shrugged he guessed not, he wasn't given much choice but being considered one of the best fighters in the gang thanks to training when he was younger, he didn't mind. Before Tsuchiya even when to take a step forward he was tapped on the shoulder as their gangs leader spoke again. "Oh and deal with that other lot when your done, ya know the bunch."

After nodding to him Tuti waited until there was a small break in fighting before shouting. "HEY! Both of ya shut yer traps and listen, seein' as this is goin' on fer way to long we're callin' it. Now all of ya scram!" Most began to leave knowing the amount of damage this man could no when provoke as his own fellow gang backed off as well leaving. However the fighter on the other side wasn't having it, screaming as he rushed at Tsuchiya causing many others to look his way.

The young man aimed to punch Tuti in the gut, he would have no such luck as Tsuchiya caught the man's wrist twisting it painfully back but not enough to break it as he soon pinned the young man to the ground below. Bending down near the man he spoke. "Start tryin' that again and I'll break ya arm, understand? Now beat it." Tuti released the pressure on the man's arm and stood up letting the younger man run off in fear.

Rolling his neck using the back of his left hand, he focused his attention on the other problem that other little cluster of wimps who picked on any females or just anyone passing who looked weak, it was annoying. Turning his head a smirk appeared on this young man's features as he ignored the girl near them. "Oi, teme baka!" ("Oi, you idiots!") He called out rather dramatically towards the group of around five guys obviously younger than him by the looks of it, maybe senior collage students? Oh well. As the little group saw him they began to whisper it would not take them long to find or rather work out who he was, he remember having quite the dangerous reputation when he was a student here.

Kaede tilted her head, trying to fight back a small laugh when she heard somebody call the guys near to her idiots. One of the slightly less intelligent males thought that it would be wise to step closer to the red head and make a rather sleazy remark about western girls, topped off by a rather insulting 'mongrel' comment in regards to her mixed race parents. Flaring her nostrils dangerously, she took in the wimpy looking male before her. She wasn't intimidated by any of these guys, and especially not the rather skinny ringleader. Leaning in towards his ear, she started to whisper but instead pinched his lobe rather spitefully, causing him to shriek.

Speaking perfectly fluently to them in their own language, her pretty lips found their way into a smirk. "Here's a tip, don't insult people's family." Twisting the ear a little more before finally letting go. "Next time, I'll rip it off." The other guys moved out of the way, and after adjusting her bag strap, and flashing the group a charmingly sweet smile, she casually walked through the double doors into the building. The quiet and calm atmosphere of an archaeology lecture seemed rather appealing right now.

Tsuchiya stopped a few paces back before coming near then as he watched the red head deal with them, well that was one thing less he had to do, very nice. As she left he walked forward and let out a low whistle at the sight, the group seemed to glare at him. With only a mere grin in their directions they fled like kittens. "Taku.."("Honestly..") he spoke in a rather bored tone, these kids could be so stupid it was almost funny.

Turning on his heel he headed for the exit to the grounds of the collage there was no point in being here when he had work to do right? Plus training and anything else extra he needed to do, great. Tuti really wasn't in the mood to do much, sure he could train anywhere the rest could wait. The teachers already knew he was on campus but also knew there was no point arguging with the former student about leaving, he would leave when he damn well pleased. Heading around the back of the collage grounds he headed out onto the well turfed area, it was were some tried to impress mainly girls with backflips that failed and most ended up in hospital. Thankfully this young man had to train in things like this for his own training. Standing and letting his breathing even out, Tsuchiya started with three simple backflips using his hands and slowly increasing the number, after all he had all day right?

It was lucky that Kaede found archaeology fascinating, because the monotonous drone of the teachers voice would have been enough to make her doze off under any other circumstance. An hour passed by, and she was finally finished for the day. Time to go home and relax. With a lazy stretch, the young woman walked outside into the warm afternoon, enjoying the fresh air as she pulled her keys from the pocket of her jeans. A small group of her female friends had gathered out the back of the building, so she wandered around to see them.

To her amusement, as she arrived they all seemed to be transfixed on some guy that was doing back flips. What was that about? With a small chuckle, she turned to watch, her eyebrow perked in curiosity. It really was crazy what some guys would do to get girls to notice them.

Tsuchiya had begun to notice that after an hour of various training it seemed a group of girls were watching him, he could already bet they thought he was a student here. Besides he had limited this kind of training for an hour and a half today. After another twenty minutes of backflips, frontflips and handless cartwheels he finally stopped. Knowing he needed to head home and finish off some things, he really didn't want girls crowding around him.

Simply finding a quick solution the young man climbed and jumped the fence that surrounded the area before casually walking towards the exit of the grounds, his hands within his jean pockets. Dispite being in one of the more famous gangs he had been strictly taught to train on what he knew everyday in each of his chosen arts, and that was something he never intend to stop doing. More to the point it was one of the things Tsuchiya actually enjoyed doing in his spare time, not that he got much nowadays.

Kaede finished up her classes for the day, but sadly she couldn't go home and relax just yet. Oh no, she had to work at the coffee house. She didn't mind it, infact it could be pretty amusing at times. Her boss was incredibly relaxed about everything, so his staff were always allowed to help themselves to whatever they wanted. With a lazy yawn, she wandered through the parking lot and across the small street that played host to the coffee house. The bell chimed as she slid through the door, and she was happy to see that Kai was working. She was always amusing.

Waving happily, she headed behind the counter and wrapped the dark blue apron around her waist, adjusting her pink college hoody a little to make it more comfortable, before tying her hair up into a ponytail. Eventually, she was ready to work and let her elbows rest against the counter as she chatted with Kai. Hopefully it would be a quiet shift.

Tsuchiya did start to wonder why those girls watched him, it wasn't anything unusual for him but still. As he walked down the road he glanced down at his phone, just what were they after now. A friend of his wanted to meet to discuss a few things and catch up. Thinking about it he hadn't seen Eiki-kun in a while oh well, he said they would meet in the nearby coffee shop. Once entering the shop he spotted the same red headed girl from before by the look of it she worked here, how cute. With a small smirk plastered on his features another younger looking man entered a few minutes later, glancing towards Tuti before ordering two coffee's and sitting down opposite him. Tsuchiya leaned back and watched from a distance by the looks of it they would be here a while.

As his friend came back Tuti spoke. "This ain' jus' fer a social visit is it?" The young man named Eiki merely shook his head and spoke. "Not really, but mostly it is." Tsuchiya just raised an eyebrow at his friend what was he up to now?
