Jinx smiled as she finished up talking with the host, bowing slightly, as she turned to see Axel and Verity. There was no emotional change in her features, but to be frank there hardly ever was. She headed back towards a corner, planning to stay hidden as much as possible as she tried to spark up some conversations with the local senators and nobles. She then speaks with a handsome younger lord, and she begins to speak of the improvement in architecture in his country. She laughs at one of his jokes, then notes Maevah and Mr. Zanzabar enjoying themselves. She was happy, and began to animatedly speak of the plans she had for new churches and graveyards. She brushed her hair over her shoulder trying to keep her eye out for Durzo who was probably lurking in the shadows.

Verity looked out over the room as Axel and her names were called out across the ballroom. She cringed a bit, the muscles in her neck tightening as Axel mentioned some men making their way over. She turned to look at Axel in the eyes, as if pleading for him to save her from their unwanted flirtaciousness, but she simply sighed and looked back over the men with a forced smile. “This is so lovely,” she muttered.

Axel then smirked as he listened to all the senators again. Axel himself talking about the possibility of more money for his nation. However they were a bit cautious when money is mentioned as to be expected from a lot of rich old coots. Verity seemed to be uncomfortable as she was basically ogled.

Axel looked over and saw her... Jinx Haven the leader of Morgul. His eyes naturally darkened a bit as he smiled looking back over to the senators as his face lightened back up. That woman... That Jinx Haven was an enemy of Axel thus an enemy of all of Ferrum. Standing right there without her nation to aid her Axel had no doubt he could kill her right now. Still no sign of Durzo Axel broke away from the nobles and sat at a table drinking some Champagne.

Verity was finding herself increasingly bombarded with older gentlemen, vying for her attention. She glanced over to look for Axel. Her eyes narrowed when she saw him over at a table drinking champagne. “Bastard,” she muttered, feeling a wrinkled, overly soft hand take hers. Her narrowed eyes looked in front of her to see an older, rich gentleman trying to pull her out on the dance floor. “Come my dear, let us discuss patronage for your dear Ferrum while having a bit of fun ourselves,” he chuckled. Verity attempted a smile, but it was clearly a grimace. She just hoped the old coot had cataracts. The man put his arms around her and she laid her hands around his neck, looking everywhere but at his face, her own visage emotionless at the moment.

I leap from the roof, landing in a roll from several stories. I come up in a sprint, thinking
'Only a bit farther! '
I keep sprinting away from the gaurds, starting to leave them behind.

Jinx laughed wildly, shaking her head as she is brought to the dance-floor. She smiles,"I'm not sure my joints work that well.." The young man laughed,"I am sure you can get through one dance before falling to pieces." She giggles shaking her head as she is pulled close his arm wrapping around her waist and one of her hands. She tried to ignore the face he made when he found out how cold she was. She giggled, as she got twirled around the floor, enjoying the feel of actually being wanted by a living gentleman. She then noted Axel sitting at a table, by himself and she smiled smugly, pretending to ignore him as per usual, as she was dipped towards the floor. She then is pulled up and sashayed across the floor her black hair whipping around with the other couples dancing.

Axel noted the man dancing with Verity as he smirked and laughed a little to himself. However another nobleman came up to him and sat across from Axel as he began to explain how the numbers from last year were amazing and that they would be happy to give patronage once again to Ferrum. Their weapon makers being some of the best in all of Lunada. Axel merely tapped glasses with the man as a toast for his job was done the main richest noble he wanted had agreed to once again give Ferrum money for the upcoming year.

Axel then sat by himself again drinking another glass.

Meanwhile as the leaders of the clans were at their little social gathering in the main land, a young assassin perched on the top of a roof in the undead lands in one of its little minor villages slowly working to it's main city Animus if she could get that far this day, though unlike others this Assassin wasn't one of the creed no she had betrayed them for the stronger, larger and more ruthless nation of Ferrum. In her hands was a note as her brown hair moved in the cold breeze, a grin on her lips as she read her orders from her leader "Oh my lord, you know me so well, giving me a mission like this" The most wicked grin spreed across her lips as she grabbed a few bombs she had taken for this mission, head tilted as she looked down to the unsuspecting undead below "What's the best way to kill the undead?" She said quietly to herself in a rather happy tone of voice "You blow them up of course and squish their brains under your heel" She then laughed loudly almost manically as she lit the smallish bombs and hurled them to the street below, watching as they then exploded, shredding a few of the undead apart, their guts and limbs flying in all directions, blood splattering her gasmask and painting the ground crimson along with the remains of the house that was just shattered by the explosion.

Verity was being danced with, not twirled like some of the women dancing with younger men. “So how does that sound?” said the older gentleman dancing in a limping circle with Verity. “Oh yes, any patronage you can spare would be appreciated. Ferrum is 100% committed to the wellbeing of its citizens and the continuation of our exports in minerals and weapons. Not to mention the wonderful ale being served here tonight. If you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll get myself a glass actually,” Verity said with a curt smile before the old man could respond. As she turned around though, she saw Jinx walking across the dance floor. Her heart beat quickened, eyes narrowed as a jealous fire rose in her chest. Axel had told her what Jinx and him had been in the past, and it still infuriated her. Her cold eyes looked towards the dead girl’s as she walked past her, deliberately pushing her with her arm on her way to Axel’s table.

Maevah had been in her own carriage behind Jinx on the way to the ball. Her violet and blue dress swirled around her legs, the color complimenting her green tinted skin tone. She went to the ball every year. When the carriage came to a stop, she stepped out, looking around with her milky white eyes into the darkness. She moved slow, though gracefully toward the entrance, entering through a door that was being held open for her. When she made her entrance, she was introduced as usual, "Maevah Azure, second in command to Jinx Haven, from Animus."

She had easily shifted off to the side, watching as Axel sat at a table and Verity and Jinx danced. Her expression was nothing but serious, her black and white hair flowing in long curls down her back. She made sure to keep an eye on each individual in the room, never letting her guard down. Maevah then brought her arm up, pushing a piece of hair out of her face. She then noticed Verity move and shove against Jinx, and her eyes narrowed, but she made no movement. She gritted her teeth together, her two fangs pressing into her bottom lip a little bit. A waiter walked by, and she took a flute of red champagne from the tray, nodding stiffly in a thank you gesture.

Jinx was pushed back slightly by Verity, as she walked past to Axel's table. The young man, asked if she was fine, and she nodded curtly then looked straight at Verity's table, and above all Axel himself. She cocked her head to the side, as she puts her hand up, as Mr. Zanzabar trudges over,"Haven woman..are you just going to let that breather do that to you?" Jinx hushes him,"Do not worry yourself, over a small push. We have larger matters to discuss.." She leans down whispering into his ear. He looked up at her,"TONIGHT! Why..you cheeky devil.." She puts a finger over her lips then points to the door. He nods then heads off. Suddenly the lights in the room, splinter and spark for a few minutes, and a sickly black aura begins to flutter around Jinx. She closes her eyes for a few moments, the black swelling then it dissipates. Suddenly a gust of wind flutters through as Verity's skirts are pulled up to expose her underwear. Jinx blinks, covering her mouth as the ghosts return to the carriage.
