    Thieves Quest (Private)

    ( OOC Link: http://roleplayerguild.com/showthrea...37#post8291737 )

The last guard falls to the ground with a clank and a thud. His sword falls from his hand, and his shield lays there, useless as it was. The thief looks up from where he was hiding. He had slipped away during the battle, but for some reason, had stayed and watched the party do battle with the guards. He crawls from underneath the wagon of gems and supplies, and starts walking over to the party.
"Oh, damn!" He said, "Do I owe you guys! Heh... Did you come along wanting a share of the loot?" The Thief had put his dagger away, and was rubbing the back of his head with an awkward smile. Suddenly, with a quick flash, the Dragonborn woman was behind him. All the thief could do was widen his eyes in surprise before she wrapped her arm around his neck, put handcuffs on his left arm, and then pull it around to handcuff his other arm.
"Ach! Hello.. Ech... Dear... Ach!" She was holding him to the point where it wouldn't knock him out, but he still had difficultly breathing. The woman brought the tip of her mouth near his ear, and hissed slowly.
"How many times do I have to do this until you learn your lesson?" she whispered to him.
"Ummm..." The thief looked as if he were actually thinking about a number, and the woman pushed him to his knees.
"This," she said, still looking down at the Thief, but talking to the group. "Is my husband, Ongus."
The Thief, Ongus, looks up at the group with a joking smile.
"Please to meet you, I'd assume you're all acquainted with my happily married wife, Therella?"
"Happy is only one word for this marriage," Therella retorted "But there are many others I could use." The Thief gets up off of his Knees and stretches.
"Well, now that we're done here, can I please be uncuffed?"
Therella looked at Ongus. "No, you'll stay in those for a good hour or so. I'm tired of having you run off to steal stuff for our hoard." She picked up the sack of gems. "There is nothing in here that we need, nor that we can't get fairly." She peeks in, and takes around a glistening red gem, that matches the color of her Scales.
"Hmmm..." She sneaks the gem into her pouch, and then walks over to the group of workers who were watching from a distance. She hands them the sack, and the head worker thanks her for her troubles. She walks back to Ongus, and pulls him to his feet. All the while, he is snickering, due to seeing what Therella did. Therella looked around a moment, and then looked back at the group with a pondering look, and said,
"Where'd the boy run off to?"

Cumulonimbus meanwhile had put effort into flying away. Far more then normal. He had to get away from the others since he couldn't turn back. And besides, with the noise he was making there would be a lot more people to want to look at him or run away. As he flew out of town, he passed over a farm and started to circle. "Hmmm..." He said in draconic to himself. "Well, I am a bit hungry." He said and landed in the feild. Most of the cattle scattered for the wind due to him being a large predator, but one in particular didn't. It looked old and worn out. He could hear that its breathing was laboured as well. He thought for a moment as the cow tried to run away, but he knew that he could eat it.

Deciding to put it out of its misery, Cumulonimbus rushed forward and bit into the cow's neck killing it practically instantly. That done, be began to feast. There was nothing he couldn't eat of the cow. Bones, organs, what little muscle and fatty tissue there was, all of it was gone. His feeding done, he looked at the farmhouse. He knew he had to py the farmer back and carefully crept forward. It probbaly wasn't a good idea considering the noise the cattle were likely going to make so instead he searched through his belongings. Tied around his waist was a bag of holding that he kept most of his things in... which was money since he was mostly wearing everything that he needed. Smuggled out of his parent's treasure hoard. He knew that he'd be found out for it when they got back. Picking out fifteen gold pieces, he set them in a small pile along with a note carved into the ground with a taloned finger.

"Apologies for the loss of your cow. It was very tasty and filling. I hope this is enough to get yourself a new one. ---->" He wrote in Common drawing a line to the pile of gold.

That done, he looked at his handiwork, nodded once and took to the skies once again, flying up and up. Pasing through the clouds, he came to the top of them and landed on top of them. That done, he yawned and went to sleep.

Fortune had presented Raj with three options for entertainment. One; a night with the ladies. Two; a scuffle with the guards. And three; watching a scuffle with the guards. He departed, leaving the ladies a hinted promise of return, following the group with a slight smile. He opted last minute to be a spectator. Sure, he could have droppped them all with one spell. Maybe two. But were was the fun in that? As such, he mananged to witness a most interesting sight. The little cleaner boy child who had tagged along ran off and ducked into hiding. Only for a dragon to come out the other side.

    Interesting.

The size of the baby dragon matched the age of the boy child too. Most interesting indeed. His small smile turned into a knowing one as he joined the group proper, applauding softly. "Good show, good show," he said with a pleasant, yet somehow faintly mocking, tone. "Do you do coming of age ceremonies? Manors, perhaps?"

he kicked one of the downed guards as he pasted (completely by accident, he would swear if asked) and watched, amused, as the couple had there minor spat. Therella's question brought a low chuckle though. "Why, you could say that his opinion of the battle was... breath taking. But he... took off once it was all over. You might even say he sprouted wings and flew away with some haste."

"Well, well, well..." Kahin muttered, staring at the situation unfolding in front of him. Even with his apparently endless lifespan he could see something new if not every day, then every month. And the sight of wife beating up her husband, then taking the stolen goods back to people was totally new to him. Kahin did really not mind anything. Standing near another feline that was spectating Kahin didn't interrupt as well - his help wasn't needed and getting bounty on his head wasn't something he wanted to do.

He casually looked around and noticed the same that the second spectator did - and recognised that as well. The dragon/boy... Quite an interesting combination. Noticing Raj's action Kahin gave him a sceptic glance but didn't say anything. "Yeah, Raj's right about this one - we have a special case of magic creature in this boy."

Therella looked over at the two who had called the Dragonchild out. And let out a hefty sigh. She knew that there was no way to tell these guys otherwise, they were much too smart for that.
"I guess there was no point in trying to hide it, then?" She shook her head. "It's been quiet awhile since I've seen a Dragon of his young age..." Therella looked to the forest, where she had seen the Dragonchild fly off to. She wondered where he flew off to. And she was starting to think about the trouble that he might get himself into, before she was interrupted.
"Wait..." Ongus looked up at Therella. Therella was a good 4-5 inches taller then Ongus, and Ongus was a generally tall man. Even then, Therella was tall for her kind, especially a female.
"You had a Dragon baby travelling with you..." Ongus walked in front of Therella. Ongus thought that he knew what Therella was hinting, they had been talking about this for a little bit, but Ongus wasn't to sure about it.
"Dammit Therella! I told you, that if we both felt the need, we would go to the Orphanage an-" He was cut short by Therella nearly whacking him over the head, she stopped short so that he would only flinch. Therella didn't really like hitting Ongus, because she felt really protective over him.
"This is not about that! That child was walking around town looking like a 7 year old, attempting to do odd jobs." It's weird to say that... Therella thought to herself
"Ohh.." Ongus replied. He clearly had no clue how to respond.
Therella looked again over at the group, "Come on everyone, let's make sure people aren't up at arms about a baby dragon." She put her arm around Ongus, and signaled for everyone to follow her. She started walking to the woods where the dragon had gone. With everyone following. She turned her head to Ongus, who was walking beside her, because she still had her arm around him, who was also still cuffed.
"Just so you know, if we ever DO adopt a child, he will NOT grow up to be a cutthroat like you."
"Isn't that why you married me in the first place?" Ongus retorted, and smiled while doing so?
Therella smiled back a Draconic smile, which more or less looked like she was just bearing her teeth.
"Yes, I guess your right... But I only let you do that because I love holding you down every time..." She rubbed her snout on his cheek, And Ongus kissed her right on the snout. Ongus looked back into Therellas eyes, and his heart started to pound a bit. He was very glad that he married her, because secretly, he wanted someone like her to keep him in check. Of course, he would never say that aloud, but he felt so safe in her arms, that he was okay with her more dominant nature.

The motivations of one less-sober were infinite and unexpected, sometimes a surprise to both the sober and the otherwise, as was sort of the case for Zhali as she'd unwittingly followed a strangely handsome cat in the shape of a man, half curious about him and half curious about why he left so swiftly.
Though as she soon discovered he'd apparently went to witness a bit of a scuffle with some official militant types and a bunch of odds apparently working together, which was all perfectly normal to Zhali right now, she was actually more wondering about why they were fighting than the actual people that were fighting.

Though since she was more or less standing there doing nothing except observing, the smaller things came to mind and Zhali felt a bit peckish, and nothing went better with ale than something salty, like that exploded corn invention she'd accidentally made while drunk and eventually experimented with.
So she dug into the haversack at her waist and pulled out full paper bag and spent a moment opening it, absentmindedly leaning on the one she'd been following more due a lack of balance, as she nibbled on the strangely shaped and condiment-covered foodstuffs in the paper bag.

"Well, I have no intentions of interrupt there happy little marital discussion." Raj commented to no one in particular, though he did look a Zhali as he did. Why wouldn't he? She was yet another ravishing woman who desevered to be admired for all her charms. He continued his free commentary. "Even more so one that that has all the indications of being a longstanding point of contention between you too. But perhaps I should point out that most dragons his age are off still learning to be dragons. As in he might still be in contact with his parents. It would be unfortunate if they earned the ire of a pair of dragon parent."

He tsked to himself a few times. Of course, that was just his free commentary. He raised an eyebrow and smiled knowingly at Zhali when she retrieved her snack and leaned against him. Intriguing though. He had never seen anything like it. "Do you suppose we should follow these 'brave' questers? It holds such promise of adventure and entertainment."

Olivia sheathed her blades and flipped over to where Raj was now speaking to some other lady. Olivia finished her routine by flipping onto Raj's back. Any soul with broad shoulders would work and so she peered down at him. "Sorry I ditched you in the tavern when the entertainment arrived...Miss me?", Olivia said vaulting over him landing safely in front. Likely flashing him as she flipped. Of course she cared about personal space, she just didn't care about other people's personal space. Just like how she cared about her own belongings and her life, but less about others. It was all a matter of priorities

The old cleric had been traveling for most of the day. He traveled a great distance and only slowed down once he hit the farm country. He always enjoyed working the land and seeing the fruits of his labor being enjoyed by others. He could hear the animals moving about lazily in their pastures. He could look out and watch them for hours and this is just what he did. He would watch them as the sun would set and sleep out under the stars as they slept in their barns and then move on.

That was until the dragon landed in the pasture devoured the eldest cow. The old cleric was pretty shocked at these events but saw it as the circle of life in effect. He would be powerless to stop the cycle of the world but he was interested in the dragon. Silver dragons were the good ones he believed and here was one right in front of him. It seemed that his God was putting him on another path. His message was a little less subtle then normal. Something must be happen that would require his aid. The last time he was on such a path he freed many souls that were trapped inside an artifact.

As he watched the dragon clawed at the ground and took off. The cleric moved over the ground and read the message that was left. This put a smile on his face as he looked up at the dragon. With a small jump he followed the dragon up into the sky and hovered near him in the clouds.

"Well met dragon of the silver scales. What brings you to these majestic pastures?"

"Free spirits are the very best kind," Raj laughed. Oh my, was this a trace bit of jealous he was sensing from the nubile dancer? Because that would be marvelous. There was something quite satisfying and self assuring about know that you inspired jealously just by being in the presence of other women. "And I would be a fool not to accept an apology from you, not when it comes with should an acrobatic display and heartfelt honestly. But tell me, did you quite enjoy your skirmish, because it was quite an feat to witness. Your skills with the art truly does translate well to the battle field."
