Another explosion could be heard... But this time, people were cheering? Well, that was definitely not Sandpants his work then. It appears that the tribe had some special visitors. Maybe they brought something of value along?

As he started to walk away from Grobnick, the new loud noise made Basko's shoulders tense up toward his head, causing his arms to raise to chest height. His lips pursed and his eye twitched in a non-amused resonance. Slowly, the troll turned on the spot back to the direction of Grobnick Sandpants, only to find the destructive gnome innocently sitting in the same condition that Basko had left him. A cheer sounded a short distance away and Basko relaxed, albiet with a confused look on his face.

Basko's eyes caught Grobnick before anymore mischief could occur. "You," Basko thrust an index finger at the direction of Sandpants, "Come with me. No more tricks today." Giving room for Sandpands to follow, Basko strode in the direction of the next interesting thing to happen this day.

As Basko approached, he wondered what he would behold. Another crowd had formed around whatever it was.

The gnome frowns and follows the troll. ''Don't hold your breath for that...''

As they near the crowd they see two humans standing in the middle. One of them has a staff, while the other holds something under his arm. It is obvious to see that they have been in the desert for a long time.
''Hear ye'! Hear ye'! We have traveled this perilous world and are successful once again! And we shall share our treasure with you! For the right price of course...''
The crowd continues to cheer, urging the mans to reveal their findings.

Basko propped himself up on the balls of his feet and peered over the small gathering. Two humans, travelers by the looks, goaded the crowd with... a treasure of some sort. One had something interesting looking under his arm, probably the treasure in question. Basko tapped one of the crowd, another human, on the shoulder and asked "Excuse me, what had caused the explosion earlier, and who are these people?"

Before the stranger had time to answer, Basko quickly jerked his head around to double check that Grobnick was still in tow.

The gnome simply tries to get a better view by jumping.... It's not really working.

The human turns around and starts to explain: ''These are Ice-hunters! They travel the world to gather ice on the dark sides of the planet! The are often mages because they survive better in the desert. They visit the tribes to sell the ice for ridiculous prices! But it's always worth it...''

"Ice hunters you say? Hmm..." Basko replied, his curiosity piqued enough to keep him around to see what they had to offer. Basko couldn't remember if he had even seen ice before, or had only heard about it from other people.

Behind him, Grobnick was struggling to see over the small crowd that had formed. Basko simply crossed his arms and kept the gnome in his peripheral vision. If he's expecting a shoulder ride, tough biscuits to him. Basko thought.

With the show playing out in front of him Basko wondered how much he would have to trade for a piece of ice. He waited to see what they would do next.
