Fairy Tail: Generations OOC Thread

Welcome to Fairy Tail: Generations, a Fairy Tail based RP! The setting is set for a century or so after the current time, so most of the mages now are not alive today. Our character's are in the notorious guild Fairy Tail, wreaking havoc and trouble for everyone, but being there when needed in troubled times.

Our character's personalities will vary and some might clash, but that's what this RP is all about. The different dynamics we each are able to bring to the table will help make this RP fun and enjoyable for everyone. This RP is going to have a lot of freedom with magic and some of the story, but I will be laying down the law if I need to. I just want to make sure that not everyone is overpowered and whatnot, because then that drags the RP down some.

Name: Zo Silver
Nickname/Alias:
Age: 20

Appearance: Zo's guild mark is on his right shoulderblade.

Personality: Zo is cocky and outspoken. He rarely holds his tounge, which gets him into a lot of trouble with others in the guild. An extremely vain person, Zo believes his looks are a gift to the world, and that makes liking Zo sometimes hard. But all-in-all the mage is genuinely a good guy at heart. He fights for his friends.

History: Born and raised in a small fishing village to a single father who taught him everything he knew about life. His mother died from giving birth to Zo, but his father never gave up hope on his son, caring and loving him from the start.

Growing up his father told him stories and fables of spirits whom roamed the world. The stories and spirits always interested Zo and as he grew up he found something in common with them.

One day out in the waters alone, his boat tipped and as he dropped to the bottom of the sea. As he gently made his way down, a pair of hands touched his and the next thing he knew he was back up over the rushing waves and breathing the air once again. Holding him up through the waves was a strong kick coming from his feet. Looking down he noticed that his feet had been replaced by a huge fishtail and fins. Screaming, he took notice that his facial details changed too. His hair had grown a little longer and his eyes were a shade of the purest blue. He looked just like one of the spirits his dad had described to him a long time ago. It was the spirit of a merman.

Rushing home he went straight to his dad and told him everything that had happend to him out in the waters. For some reason his father replied with a laugh, knowing full well what his son was talking about. Zo was told that he was special, that he had traits of magic in him like his mother did. Her powers were that of a Take-Over, someone who could change their form to that of animals, beasts, and monsters. Zo on the other hand, was able to transform himself into spirits.

His father told him of his mother's adventures as a spirit collector, saying that she always wanted to travel the world collecting all the spirits that roamed. It wasn't until she was pregnant that she had new goals. Zo felt that as he was the last spirit his mother ever had, one that she helped create, it was his duty to finish her dream for her.

At the age of thirteen he left, traveling the world in search of free spirits, both good and bad, and capturing their soul for him to use. Sometime during his adventures he wound up in a heap of trouble, coming in contact with the Fairy Tail guild early in his years of traveling and he has been stuck with them ever since.

Magic:

Spirit Take Over allows Zo to change his body into that of the certain spirits he has collected during his travels to help him in differing situations. The spirit changes are able to increase his power, strength, speed, and skills, also granting him differing abilities such as advanced swimming, flying, digging, and things to that nature. The spirits he can actually take over are those that he can actually have a connection with. Sometimes it is harder for him to connect with certain spirits because of their darkened or lighter hearts, but once he is able to find his connection, Zo is able to steal a bit of their soul essence and borrow their energy for later on.

With this spirit, Zo is able to swim exceptionally fast, breath underwater, and has enhanced strength. In his Merman form, Zo is also able to control water, using it for offense as in water lashes, waves, and things like that, or for defense like creating a wave to block incoming attacks. The biggest downside is that there is really no use for this form on-land and it is only ever useful if they are fighting in the water or near water.

Skills: Zo is a skillful martial artist, having picking it up in his early years of joining Fairy Tail. He's very athletic and likes to keep in shape. He also believes that his good looks is his number onen skill.
Oh, and even though he is a fisherman's son, he is extremely bad at fishing. But he does have a natural knack for swimming.

Name: Riken Fullbringer
Nickname/Alias: The Thinker
Age: 22

Appearance: No scarf, no eye patch, and the Fairy Tail Emblem is on his right shoulder. 5'9 and 134 pounds.

Personality: Riken isn't too bright. Tries to solve things with simple solutions. Passionate about fighting. He's playful, caring, and loves his guild more than he loves his own grandmother. He's also quick to form rivalries with his guild mates because of his fighting like nature.

History: Much of Riken's history is with the guild, as he joined when he was only ten years old. Not much is known about his time before the guild, as he has never really spoken with any one about it. When asked about it he usually says, "A little of this and a little of that." Rumor has it that he killed a man Joya and then fled to Fiore. Of course there's another rumor saying that he is addicted to romance novels. It's safe to say that rumors shouldn't be taken to heart. Riken's pasts is one shrouded in mystery leaving people to run wild with their imaginations.

Magic:

As implied the user of the magic would have the ability to create/manipulate steam in a battle.

Offensive Measures: The user can increase the density of his steam in order to land a hard hit on the opponent, or increase the heat coming from the steam in order to burn the opponent. The user can combine those to abilities for even stronger attack, but doing so drains their magic faster than it normally would. Another attack method would be to surround the opponent in steam. Rather than breathing in air they would be inhaling steam. Which would mean they are getting less oxygen, making it harder to catch their breath in a fight.

Defensive Measures: Since the magic is mostly offensive it's defensive capabilities are somewhat lacking. The user can wrap himself in steam and increase the temperature, so that when hit the opponent will be burned(assuming that they attack with their body). More of a distraction technique than defense, the user can create a cloud of steam making it harder for them to spotted; though they run the risk of losing their target in the steam. Their final, and best form of defense, is to turn change their physical form to steam. As it is a complete defense form attacking with magic is taken away in this form. Also, if the user has not completely mastered the ability they will not be able to change their entire physical form; as a result they will only be to change half of their body.

Skills: Fancies himself a specialist in Psychology, and often tries to deduce peoples' mental problems. He is almost always wrong, as he has had never studied Psychology(His nickname was given to him as a joke because of this, though he does not know the nickname is a joke.). People say he has a black hole instead of a stomach, because he can just keep eating and eating. Without every gaining any weight.

Name: Ishin
Nickname/Alias: "Walls"
Age: 19

Appearance: light blue eyes, messy black hair, thin but pronounced facial features. Stands straight at 5' 11” and weighs about 153 pounds. Lean but wiry body type. Fairy Tail marking is located on the right side of his neck. Clothing choices tend to be lighter colors, ranging from white to tan to tinted red. Everyday clothing style tends to be baggy ankle length pants, a sash tied about his waste, and a loose shirt. Usually if he is carrying something it will just be in a bag tied to the sash, but when traveling Ishin has been seen carrying a basket like pack on his back. A light spider webbing of white scars covers the palm and inside side of Ishin's fingers.

Personality: Ishin is thoughtful, but pretty irresponsible. Abstract might be a better way of putting it. In average conversation Ishin is friendly, possibly playful if he knows you well. In combat... well still pretty friendly and playful. If you make him angry, Ishin is likely to just become quiet. No one has really seen him explode in anger before it would be very strange for him, almost out of character... (See what I did there? ;D )

History: Pretty ordinary history. Had both parents growing up, was discovered to be capable of magic when he was nine and walking on the ceiling. Ishin received regular training even though he still lived at home. When he turned fifteen Ishin got permission to join a guild of his choosing from his parents. (with the condition that he write home once a month until he was older.) That guild was initially a smaller one that was eventually victimized in a larger guilds schemes. Fairy Tail welcomed Ishin in with open arms after the event, and so he has been there for about two years. He doesn't ever talk about what went down during those schemes though, mentioning it generally shuts him up.

Magic:

Ishin specializes in gravity magic, (a known magic) which allows him to alter the direction and force of gravity in a certain area, or on a specific object. He can lift things up, causing them to 'levitate'. (Or sit at a point where the gravitational forces between the earth and whatever is pulling the object is neutral) He can weigh things down as well, by increasing the gravity in an area. He himself has been known to walk on walls, ceilings, and even the occasional chandelier. One important thing about his magic though is that he has to anchor whatever he wants the gravity to originate on. For example, to walk on the ceiling, he would need to anchor his gravity on the ceiling or something above it. Whatever it is he anchors an object to will feel that same force pulling back, so whatever object weighs (or is secured) the most will be the object to move. Of course he could also mess with the gravity affecting the anchor object, but then he would need another anchor, and would expend even more energy than normal.

As for people, Ishin can mess with their overall gravity, but he can't focus on one bodypart. He himself he has almost full gravitational control over, so in example he could pull his hand without pulling the rest of himself, which probably would result in him being dragged around by the arm. Magic is a bit of a touchy subject for Ishin, mainly because of the teasing of his element. What would he do in combat? Pull them to death?

Skills: Ishin has skills in acrobatics and hand to hand combat. Not because he is a natural, but combat with his magic tends to end up on the physical side. Besides that his skills, also are in the realm of being a terrible cook, a laughable dancer, and a horrible strategist. He can get pretty inventive though, even if he is too bad at planning to employ his idea at a good time.

Name: Streaker Cheney
Nickname/Alias: The Fourth Generation Dragon Slayer Magic.
Age: 19

His guild mark is on his back near his shoulder and he is about 6' 3" tall.

Personality: Streaker is a highly intelligent individual who is also calm, sophisticated, and arrogant due to his aristocratic upbringing. While at the guild, he conducts himself as a sociable, likeable, and often easy going member. However, in reality, this is a mask to hide his true nature. In battle, Streaker is very cold and tactical, he is willing to sacrifice anyone, civilians and military alike, if that is what it takes to achieve the objective.

Streaker is known for having a very stoic personality. He never cared about the education given to him, seeing the entire thing as trivial, even though his intellect would make it easy for him. In general, Streaker takes most day-to-day affairs with open disinterest, often not even noticing the affection of others.

History: Streaker Cheney was always discriminated for the fact that Ryos Cheney was his great uncle. A fact that wasn't known until Ryos was almost dead.Ryos found out he had a younger brother. When Streaker was born it was a surprise Ryos was still alive, then.... that fool of a great uncle implanted the dragon Lacrima into Streaker. Somehow Ryos, Rogue, must have obtained another dragon lacrima.

Only weeks later, Ryos died. But all those weeks before he died was teaching him shadow dragon slayer magic as Skiadrum did to Ryos. For although Ryos' body was weaker than ever, his mind was still strong and could show Streaker the magic himself.

Since then, at only eight years old, Streaker was walking around, never staying put, until he was attacked by a small dark guild, weaklings, only five or six of them. He saw someone trying to rush to his help. But it was no matter. He took care of them all. Tied up and unconscious they all were in.... 2 minutes 49 seconds. By an eight year old. The people trying to rush to help him were Fairy Tail members, and they were shocked by what happened. They took him back to the guild, trying to question what Streaker was doing alone.

His only response was, "I can take care of myself," which it sure seemed. Streaker joined Fairy Tail when he was eight, the youngest member to join the guild with the insane members and the difficult missions.

Magic: A Magic which allows the user to transform their physiology into that of a Shadow Dragon, turning their body into a shadow that cannot be touched by normal means. With this Magic, the user is also able to fade themselves into shadows to move swiftly, dodging efficiently and making surprise attacks. However, if the user is caught while in a tangible form, or by another person in shadow form, they are then vulnerable to attack.

If a Shadow Dragon Slayer is somehow capable of successfully ingesting light, they will enter White Shadow Dragon Mode.

White Shadow Dragon Mode is an ability that can be gained by a Shadow Dragon Slayer after having eaten light. After having the light and shadows inside their body fuse together, the user gains the ability to use both elements simultaneously, even giving their shadows the piercing properties of light. After entering said Mode, half of the user's body becomes cloaked in shadows, whilst the other half remains normal in appearance.

So..how did you guys hear about Fairy Tail? The actual anime/manga I mean

DraconianBlade, I feel as if Streaker seems a bit over-powered. I mean, at eight he was able to defeat five or six mages in a dark guild. I mean, yeah some mages are weaker than the average mage, but I feel as if a dark mage guild they wouldn't recruit below average mages, maybe just like a pinch or not even a pinch below average. Also did I miss something to make him a fourth generation dragon slayer?
