Adregalus RP Prequel - Prototype Mech Testing - 1 or 2 people

Note: I only 'need' one person for this, but I am willing to accept a second if they are capable enough =3 more challenge for me ^.^ though you'll have to be capable of team work for Stage 3.

You are not required to read all of the information about the 'universe' in which this takes place, though the link is provided anyway and it can't hurt to read up on human information, the only requirement is that you be capable of handling a non super powered mecha with some restraint and strategy XD [Character-wise that will be key for the pair taking part in the test.]

You can also design your CSes however you like, though I'll make one for the prototype tomorrow or Wednesday

If you'd like to, you can also read up on the Ethonians and make one of them, or a human/ethonian hybrid, as your soldier for the test, that's all up to you guys.

This of course does not take place on Earth XD though for the time being all that needs to be known is a technologically advanced military base setting. the details of which I will provide in the IC.



This little RP here is actually meant to maintain 'the flow' in my imagination while I'm designing the much more detailed and larger 'real' RP that should come after this one, not all of the Universe information is relevant 'for this one' but I'll provide links to the info anyway =P

For now the Relevant Info will pertain to the M.I.U.s [Mobile Infantry Units] and the capabilities of the current common types.

Plot: For this little prequel bit, the 'plot' will involve the testing of a remote system as well as a new prototype MIU, who's specifications will be a mystery so far, which will also act as somewhat of a test for the other soldier [your character] in being able to analyze and compensate for it's superior capability. Think of it as a 'test boss fight' of sorts, you get an NPC Ally that you can control to help you out as well. [may be replaced by a player if someone else really wants to get into it.]

Your Opponent 'IC-wise' is going to be a mystery, but as a little reward of sorts, If you beat the 'currently undefined controller of the prototype, You can meet him during the end phase of this little Prequel.

Also, If you can total the prototype, which won't be too easy =P, and wish to stick around for the full RP that will come after, You're character[S if 2 people participate] can utilize customized Versions of the prototype's Completed form in the next RP.

Your MIU can be mildly customized, remember at this point your just soldiers, but the results of this test could lead to you gaining some opportunities =3

The Generation 4 MIU's are designed to be capable of similar flexibilities and acrobatics to the human body itself, but of an insanely increased degree of power due to being Vastly Technologically superior devices.

Despite their seemingly 'basic' proportions, they are surprisingly durable, more so with proper addon's, and can sustain considerable damage before becoming inoperable, and come equipped with a surprisingly numerous array of standard weaponry and unusual abilities.

The most effective way to take down a standard MIU quickly is to get a lucky or critical strike, carefully positioned attacks, over simply over-whelming force.

The standard armaments of an MIU include grenades, reflective armor plating [only able to reflect certain forms of energy attacks, beams don't count], The strength capability to lift numerous tons of metal [including other MIUs, though it is unwise to do so when they are fully operational], And a unique and psuedo intelligent Energy discharge system, capable of discharging a directional formation of energy in a ground running blade like attack, or in a deadly spherical discharge, however using the maximum discharge variety can drain huge levels of energy out of the power reserves and can only be used a few times before further use could disable to the MIU. [Note: Cause I'm open minded, I'll allow for player designed methods of 'discharge' ^.^]

Note: You can come up with custom ones if you like, but try to make them fitting to the theme XD They wouldn't be toting around giant laser cannons or anything.

Stock Weapon Choices: Basic Armament MIU Weaponry

There can be others, just be reasonable XD, I'll work on designing things in a little, expect an update to this section within a couple of hours.

The Assignment: You and an [NPC or second player] ally will be both piloting 4th Generation Iguana M.I.U.s against a new Prototype 5th Generation MIU that will be utilizing the newly designed 'Remote Piloting System', meant to help reduce the requirement for pilots to put their lives at risk in order to pilot MIU's out into the field. The test is to determine whether or not it can even keep up with a standard Human piloted MIU, as there's not much point to remote controlling them if they become useless.

This Test will happen in several Stages:

Stage 1: One on One Warm up: The stage were only light combat will utilized first, basic hand to hand or light weapons, to avoid unnecessary damage to the either MIU while the system is being tested and acclimated to make sure it is successfully capable of controlling the MIU. The Second member of the Basic MIU Team will standby and observe combat in an attempt to learn from the display.


Stage 2: Trade-out, Weapons and Armor Test: The 2 Standard Pilots will trade places, allowing the first to rest while the second goes 'allout' for a short time against the 5th Generation prototype to test its full capabilities., and to allow the first to obtain a short rest if needed, as well as observe the combat.


Stage 3: Stress Test: If Stage 2 did not result in severe damage to prototype, then both Pilots will double team it to test it's full capabilities in genuine combat. Because it is only a prototype and does not contain a living pilot, The living pilots will be permitted to fight as though they are trying to destroy it, though It's controller will be trying 'not' to injure the living pilots.
