The day was beautiful; at least that’s how it looked from Titan’s Tower in Jump City. The way the sun reflected on the water, and the way the way the city lit up. It was beautiful. Phoenix, a relatively new member of the Teen Titans, stood out on the roof and watched as the sun rose. Today should be a good day, but she knew already that trouble always lurked in the city. She breathed in the air through her think, black, cloth mask and allowed her ever-changing eyes to watch the city with great intent.

The wind blew her hair a bit, and the breeze felt wonderful, but the female titan knew that there were things she would just never get used to. Like the sounds she could hear beneath her. Cyborg and Beast Boy were already fighting over the video game, and she couldn’t help but to shake her head. She liked the outdoors and how the air felt, but the one thing that bothered her about Titan Tower was the fact that it was surrounded by water, and water was her enemy. She had learned how to deal with it, but she still didn’t like the water being so close.

With another glance over the city, Phoenix made her way inside, bringing her long, raven colored hair into a ponytail as she headed down into the main room where she found nearly everyone sitting around. She didn’t trust all of them yet, the one she trusted most was Cyborg, but even so it was because he had been the one who had found her. The one who had watched her burn through a few enemies, and he had been the one to back her up and recruit her. She was closest to him for that reason.

She had been with them for a month or two and was slowly warming up to the others, but the large circle on her belt began blinking as did everyone else’s alert. “Who is it now?” her voice came as she watched Robin, Raven and Paleia coming into the room. This would definitely be the start of a day.

6 AM, and Robin was awake. He always was and it seemed that nothing would ever change him from his ways. He always awoke early to train and get himself some breakfast, but today seemed oddly more serene than the others. It was the first time in a couple of months that he hadn’t awoke to hear a fight, though once Beast Boy and Cyborg got up he knew what would happen. It would be an argument, but that was normal. Since the additions of Phoenix and Paleia, the titans hadn’t had a peaceful day until today.

He couldn’t say it was odd, they had been the same way with Terra… And now she was gone. Everything had changed since then though, and being able to trust these two girl, these extraordinary girls, was a start for the entire team. He had eaten his breakfast before he headed into the gym they had and began beating on the punching bag. He had been going at it for a while it felt, but it was very light training. He heard the alarm go off and his belt began blinking, so he ran into the main room to find the others there.

“It looks like Gizmo, Jynx, and Mammoth. Titans, Go!” he exclaimed, and they all began heading to their respective places. This would be a cake walk. The villains in question were regulars to them anyway, and robbing a bank was their main goal at the moment it seemed, so they headed out, as always.

Beast Boy was arguing with Cyborg over which one of them was winning in their current video game. Course, the two of them were always at it at some point in the day, so this was mainly routine. But over the last few weeks the fighting between the most stubborn of the Titans had become scarce because of the loss of Terra. She had meant a lot to BB, and losing her was the hardest on him. But that morning he wanted things to be normal ever since finding the two girls. Cyborg had found Phoenix, and Raven surprisingly found and was getting close to the snow white haired girl who was more quiet than the book worm, and that was saying something. Apparently the poor girl had a tough upbringing. Not that she would say much more than her father had raised her, always hiding and plotting something. Never a name, and Beast Boy was the most weary about her. What was it that she didn't want the Titans to know? It had been the same with Terra, but he hoped that Paleia, as she called herself or Mastra wouldn't double cross them. When Robin called for them to action he immediately got to his feet and followed the rest of the Titans looking over his shoulder to make sure the two newbs were going to follow.

Paleia had been found a few days after the loss of Terra by the Dark introvert named Raven apparently. She hadn't been a Titan long, and yet already knew all of their names and faces. Being in the darkness and background as they fought against her father had taught her a lot about this team. She had yet to decide if she wanted to trust these people, that would turn against her in a second if they knew just who raised her. And decided just to tell them a small little truth, and keep the rest to herself. If, and that was a big if, they won her trust....then....maybe. But she would have to wait and see. When the alarm went off she about jumped in the air not expecting such a sound to come from such an unexpected place, her eyes turning a sharp ice blue in shock, and went into a defensive position immediately, until Robin said something about some people named...Gizmo, Jynx, and Mammoth if she remembered correctly. Who...and then she remembered. Her father talked about that school for the bad guys. Her head was starting to hurt a little but shook her snow white head looking at the boy who could turn into any animal her eyes still an icy cold hue. She knew that Beast Boy didn't trust her. Maybe he shouldn't. But she still followed after Raven anyway thinking the strange Empathic could show her the ropes of being a good guy.
