The year is 2012 and the latest of the Spirit Detective, Ryu Kasakawa has gone missing after ten years of service to the spirit world and protecting the human world. The years have been very good and very peacefully thanks to the dutiful efforts of a team of investigators assigned by the son of the king of the Spirit World Doshi. The mere mention of his names sent shiver down the spines of millions of demons and even gained him attention in the infamous demon world which few knew about. He was last investigating a rumor about a group of demons who escaped a prison. The young man Doshi refused to say more on the matter due to orders from his father but regrets even recommending Ryu went on this mission. Now the spirit world is left with no detective or team, which disbanded and have since been killed or scattered or too scared to fight back. Spirit World will need a new group of protectors...

Enter a group of high school students from Tokugawa Junior High School from Tokyo's outskirts will end up as spirit detectives in a sudden turn of events that will change their lives forever. Things are starting to heat up in the world and danger will lurk in every corner of the world. It is up to these young children to hold back that tide...

Seeing as you are reading this I hope you are still interested in joining. This rp will be set in Tokyo Japan depending on what you guys would prefer. Note that none of us will have any experience with the spirit world meaning no demons, no spirits, no having past demon ancestry like Yusuke. None of us will have any special powers starting out but we are going to pick what our spiritual power is and what it does in the CS before we start. We will be straight up humans like Sensui was or Toguro or Genkai was before what happens in the rp happens which I am reluctant to spoil. Needless to say your family could have a history of spiritual awareness like Kuwabara but nothing that had them do anything like hunches and the like. We will vote on what we will do (see the above poll) and we will set the story going. We will gradually get stronger as the the rp goes along so don't worry about anything if you stick with us your guy may end up stronger than Hiei or Kurama if you play your cards right. This will require those with at least a 4 sentence per post minimum with some exceptions. If you can't do that don't join that is not a lot to ask for and I know what a lot is some of my posts in past rp's have gone to three thousand words.

3. No overpowering your guy or girl if he or she if just an average girl or boy with no experience in fights they will be average if not below. We're not spirit detectives at the start of this rp just some unlucky friends who ended up in the wrong situation.
4. Try to be realistic here not all of us will be some hot shot badass boxer at the start of this or some five star prodigal athlete
5. This is not Dragon Ball Z there is no reason for us to power up into anything like a super saiyan or change forms most of us will have energy based attacks like genkai, yusuke, kuwabara, or senshui. However some training in swordsmanship may land you in the area of Hiei, or some of the other swords masters later in the rp but you will sacrifice endurance to do so but gain speed. If you stick to the path of a less likeable character you may end up using the dragon of the darkness flame by the end of the rp. But again this will require patience.

Tetsuya was raised by his mother. It's not like he had a dead beat dad or anything who left him and his mom. And it's not like they split up or anything. His dad just passed away not too long after he was born. So it was him and his mom. She worked hard, put food on the table and did her best to keep him on the right track. For the most part she did a good job. Hell they were doing pretty good. But as he grew up Tetsuya developed a bit of a bad habit. He didn't gamble or drink or even smoke. No he just fought. His first fight happened when he was in fifth grade. His mother had just dropped him off at school and one of the kids in a different class thought it'd be funny to crack a joke about his mom. He didn't react at first. He just shrugged it off and laughed although as he laughed he did warn the kid not to do it again.

"What are you gonna do ya little momma's boy?" The kid asked smirked as he poked Tetsuya in the head. Tetsuya smirked and punched the kid in the face and then tackedl him to the ground angrily. The kid tried to fight backa nd got a few hits, but the end result was Tetsuya's victory and him being sent home. However, that wasn't the end of it. The fight... he'd enjoyed it. Why? He didn't know. Maybe it was because he was standing up for himself and his mom, but... It felt good.

As time went on he began to get into fights more. He was getting more and more easily provoked until he entered high school and it became less about provocation and more about challenges. Don't get him wrong. He always tried to help his mom when he could and he did get pretty descent grades. However, he just like to fight. Especially when it came down to a good old fashioned dog fight. A battle of wills and endurance. He slugged his opponent and his opponent slugged him. Whoever went down first was the loser. He usually won. Now he's got a bit of a reputation, but he doesn't care. He's just doing what he likes. He's not a bad guy so he figures whatever.

Fighting Style: Tetsu's fighting style is that of a street fighter with martial arts influences. He stays close and hits hard. If he can he'll try to pull his opponent into a dogfight/slugfest to try and win. He also uses... Or rather will use... his spirit energy to increase the power of his attacks as well as fire it in the forms of projectiles or waves either from his fists or his fingers or other parts of his body. Common examples would be sending a blast from his fist or a wave from his kick or if in a situation where it is necessary from his finger.

I'll accept both once you guys put in a bio and age which I forgot to put in the CS and I believe I'll compare your two styles as bullet magic from fairy tail except not in mass after all you'll only be able to shoot once or twice at most like Yusuke and Demon's guy as Tsunade's enhanced strength but only lasts for a minute or two. Also a Wall of energy will be out of the question until at least part four dude. Yusuke and Kuwabara were barely able to make a sword and a single bullet at the start.

Biography: Born in America’s New York City he was raised mostly between his two parents who were divorced shortly after his birth. He had a hard time growing up and had little friends but was still a generally respectable person. He and his mother had a decent relationship but she never really did anything with him or helped him much as his uncle did. His father had him go down to New Jersey every few months to visit him and when he was old enough his father trained his son how to fight with his hands and feet which his mother highly disapproved of. He disliked being pitied and did his best as a kid to show that he could stand up for himself. His uncle, who did not like his father, helped him with studying and showed him a number of ways to think when under pressure like in tests and, god forbid, a fight with his fellow students. His mother passed away soon after he got into high school from natural causes as she had a disease which shortened her life span and thankfully he never got the same disease as his mother. He moved in with his father who enrolled him in a boxing class where he learned how to defend himself and stress him out less. He slowly got over his mother’s death and his grades went up after a year or two of having to deal with it. His father decided to send him abroad where he enrolled in a school in Japan. He has been there for a year now with on and off breaks.

Fighting Style:
Disciplined Fighter - Brandon has learned from experience that thrashing out in a close fight is a bad idea so he tends to fight with conservation more than brute force. He likes to tire out his opponent because he has never been the strongest kid ever so he lacks in power but makes up for in quick planning and thinking. However when he does go all out he is very fast in striking and chaining his spirit energy into his attacks making him unpredictable and very deadly. The way to counter him is to force him into offensive early or to tire him out quickly.
Spirit Energy Weapons: Brandon will be fond of using his spirit energy and manipulating it into objects like daggers, swords, spears, and other such as well as using this energy to make blasts and small orbs of explode able energy. He can chose between making the energy highly resistant to physical and energy based attacks or turning them into ranged moves like a spirit blast. The tradeoff is he has to charge for a moment or two leaving him vulnerable and once he has committed to forming his energy into something be it a spirit blast or a spirit weapon he will not be able to change it into anything else and will either have to dispel the energy or absorb the energy back into his body which takes just as long as summoning it.
Attacks:
Spirit Dagger - Similar to Kuwabara's spirit sword techniques except smaller and a lot less destructive.
Energy Cracker - Summoning small balls of energy from his fingertips he can use them to distract enemies but they do little damage. They can be thrown or hand detonated which causes some minor pain to himself in that case.

Heres what individually you need I'll start with Vin

Decrease your stats to average or bad...you have way to many goods.
Change ranged preferance to long range. Sphere throwing is now sword fighting which is my guy's main.

Demon:
Same as Vin except your range would be one range do you punch from close in or from a distance. As seen in Hajime no Ippo, a boxing anime, range does make a difference in a fist fight. if a person has a longer arm than you he will deck you before you touch him but if you get inside his guard he is screwed.

Oh okay got it.

I'll set him to a close range in fighter and lower some stats. He kicks too, but mostly sticks to his fists so being an in fighter wouldn't be too hard.

And um as far as the strength enhancement thing goes I understand. Although when I put it I meant more like how they say in the anime that if you punch or a kick, no matter how strong it is, if you're against a demon or someone with good spirit energy it would be no different than tickling the opponent. I think that was along the lines of what they said anyway. But the strength enhancement would be good too.

Here is what your guy should have. Spirit energy that he can increase in power so that he is able to hit harder or kick harder but you should focus on one body section since it takes a lot of concentratino to do otherwise. In later levels you will get more atheltic and faster and be able to chain attacks into combos like a boxer would. Maybe you could learn to have your spirit energy smash into a person and act like an after effect which would basically be punch and then a spirit explosive blast into that person's body.

1. I have as many goods as the person before me did and I just listed the techniques he would have overall. I know as of right now he wouldn't be able to do much.
2. the range for my character is mid-long, because that is how he fights, by keeping his opponent at a distance and defending himself with fluidity.
3. Your character is more close-mid than just mid anyways. Daggers are hard to use from ten feet away.

1. you list your techniques as you go along vin you don't start off and put what you will have in part four or whatever part that may be. If you have an idea put it in a word document or on a post somewhere else on this site like a CS storage thread.
2. Then he should be using a weapon of some sort like me not orbs of power. If I were using orb based throwing projectiles I would distance myself as far as I can and use elevation to pummel the guy without him touching me. Why stay in front of him where he has a chance of hitting you. Sensui makes an orb of power and punt kicks it at his enemies for an example but we're nowhere near his level of power.
3. My guy can only use daggers because he, like all of us, is just starting out like Yusuke. In fact the energy cracker does not even compare to his spirit gun at the start of it. He will become a medium ranged fighter using a sword or a spear of some sort and or finishing his guy at close range with a attack I plan on giving him later which will be a all or nothing attack. Besides he uses his fists like a boxer which I have been using as an example to Demon.
