Entering the main school building Amy was hit by the over powering smell of industrial cleaning product, it reminded her of the time she visited her younger sister in hospital when she had stupidly managed to break her arm by falling from her bike. She strolled forward passing by the reception desk where an older woman smiled at her glance. 'Morning Amy' She spoke politely as Amy's gaze left hers. 'Morning' She responded and walked down the first hallway, light beaming through the front windows that made up the entrance's wall, creating grid like shadows all over the walls and floors of the crystal white halls.

'Wonder where Chloe is? Amy mumbled to herself while surging around a corner, she pulled her phone out of her bags left pocket and saw the notification alert blinking purple. 'A text..' She thought and pressed the top button which lightened the screen. “From Chloe.” it stated on the home page, she quickly punched in her four digit password into the device and with a few touches of the screen opened the message. “Sorry, not going to make it in today! Got the flu. Tell teachers please. xxx” She read with dismay but not at all surprised as she thought of how many times she seemingly had the “Flu.”

Slumping herself onto a metallic bench in the schools inner court yard she felt the cold steel chill her legs through her thin red tights. 'Huh. Does she think I'm stupid..' She put the phone away after replying simple with “K.” Her anger levels had risen for the second time today and was dreading the rest of the day with her other two friends who seemed more interested in talking about their love life’s and her absence of one. Chloe didn't exactly make it much better but she was also single and had been her close friend since five years old so they kind of knew how each other ticked and could ease out of the depression conversation about their complete uselessness at finding boyfriends and instead pretend they don't care.

The school's bell burst into live and began digging it's way through Amy's skull as it continued to tatter loudly with the sound of clanging metal. 'Hmm' She sighed and found herself to demotivated to lift herself from her comfortable position.

Cheerleading practice had gone exceptionally well for the few hours they were outside. Logan looked over at the school and noticed all the students entering which normally meant practice was over. The Cheer captain released them and the entire team went to the locker rooms to shower up and get changed. Logan and the rest of the guys went to the boys locker room to clean themselves up. Surprisingly, Logan was the only gay guy on the team. The other guys were straight and actually dated some of the girls on the team. However none of the guys had a problem with gays and loved Logan. Some of them were even a part of the Gay Straight Alliance with Logan. He made his way over to the shower stall and dropped his towel, letting the water hit his soft skin. After a few minutes of washing himself off, Logan grabbed his towel and went over to his locker to find the outfit he had brought from home. Logan was really fit and had a nicely toned body. He had been dancing since he was little and cheerleading for going on four years so his body was in really good shape. Logan quickly put on his outfit, looking into a nearby mirror to see if it was okay. "These jeans make my butt look good," he said out loud which caused some of the guys there to start laughing. At times he cared too much about his appearance.

Logan took his cheer dufle bag which had his school stuff in it and went out into the hallways. He was considered a part of the 'popular' crowd as the other students put it. A lot of people knew who he was and his dancing was considered the best there. He had earned respect from a lot of the students so he was rarely picked on. If people did talk about him, it was behind his back. After waving to a few familiar faces, he went up to his locker to grab a few books. He had already gotten his schedule before he started practice.

The bus pulled up in front of the school, and the siblings got out, and went into the school hallway.
"Wait!" Xavier said, stopping his sister, "Who is that?" he asked, pointing at Logan. "Him?" Lenora asked, "His name's Logan, he's on the cheer squad, and he's totally gay." He eyed his sister, "How do you know that?" he asked, before looking at Logan again. She ignored the question, and looked at her brother, "Xavier, you're staring like a fool in love," she paused, before grinning evilly, "HOLY SHIT! You a have first-sight crush!" "Fuck off!" he yelled at her.

Alex stepped off the bus angrier than she was when she had gotten on. It was so bumpy and uncomfortable, how did people use this thing every day? How did they like using it every day? The school was, as expected, lively. It was morning, how could it not be lively. She checked her watch, softly cursing as she noticed the time. There wouldn't be enough time to get sketching in, not a full one anyway. Not that it mattered, looking around at some of the students pouring into the main building, she wondered how many of them were still dressed by mother. There were a few that caused her to turn her head and gag. Who wears bright yellow? Who wears it in public, no less. Still, she remained silent about the faux pas walking through the door; she was a silent judging kind of person. No harm in that.

Not like she had any room to complain today, her outfit was much more of the casually lazy side than the casually fashion conscious side, but she had already made her statement in her first two years. Plus, wearing suits to school was a huge hassle when it came to gym class, even if she did look better than James Bond in one. Alex tugged at the backpack slung around her shoulders and followed the crowd into the school proper.

Alex paused upon seeing Logan. She had heard of him, hard to find any non-Freshman who hadn't. Go to any sporting event and someone was bound to ask about him. Her pause had nothing to do with him but rather his choice in outfit. It wasn't necessarily terrible, but Alex couldn't let this one slide. "Hey, you're...Logan, right?" she said, approaching the cheerleader, ignoring anyone else that might've been trying to talk to him. Her voice was husky after practicing sounding like a guy for so long. "You should slap whoever bought you that jacket. Zippers up near the bust? Gaudy."

It didn't yet hit her that Alex was acting much like the people who made her junior high life slightly less enjoyable. But she didn't mean anything malicious by it, she just couldn't stand to see excessive accessories.

How dreamlike to see my x-sisters, outside the context of a Papa Song dome. They sang Papa Song’s Psalm, over and over; background hydraulics underbassed that sickening melody. But how jubilant they sounded! Their Investment was paid off. The voyage to Hawaii was under way, and their new life on Xultation would shortly begin... Watching them from the hangway, I envied their certainty about the future.
