Thread: A new fantasy world from which multiple roleplays can arise?

A new fantasy world from which multiple roleplays can arise?

Would anyone be interested in helping to create a fantasy world for us to explore? What I'd like to see from it are the following:
    .
    1. Multiple races unique to this world (no races known simply as elves, dwarfs, vampires, etc.). Humans are allowed
    2. Multiple nations, some of which don't get along (an understatement), or perhaps one larger empire with small provinces inside that are getting unruly
    3. A magic system implemented more unique then just pointing at someone and chanting
    4. It's own mythology (of which there can be mythologies unique to different races). Some of them are ambiguously true
    4. A well detailed world with rich history and lots of room for multiple roleplays to explore
    5. We can have our own wiki page if we'd like so we can better organize all the information
    6. Maybe someone really good at drawing could help with concept art and stuff like that
    .
Does this sound like fun to anyone? Here's a link to discuss things further: http://sync.in/3xOAZL87mW
    EDIT: Here's the OOC: http://roleplayerguild.com/showthrea...Alourria-(OOC)

I'm new (to this site), so I'd like to get started. This seems a good place ...

Hmm...I'm rather interested in this too. I do have a vague frame for a fantasy setting without elves/dwarves/orcs/othertolkeinstuff. What currently exists is in the Tome of Majin in my sig.

It does suffer from a severe lack of geography, physical or political, however. Perhaps we could build off of that...
Tome of Majin: An ever growing collection of my stock characters and roleplaying lore. All are invited to inquire, or even request that I play one of the characters within in one of their RP's!
Need a curse, mutation, or horrible injury for your character? Probably not, but if you do, head on over to Majin's Maledictions!

I'd be up for it, always brewing stuff up and leaving them in the dark corners of my mind anyways. I'd very much prefer a direction to start with though.

Also... why no dorfs? Otherwise known as dwarves.

I'm very interested in this, but like Xmagus said, I would prefer a direction to start with.

I'd love to help you with this. It sounds like a great idea. Anther good idea is that we could use sync.in if it's okay with you. Basically it's a Microsoft word document, but multiple people view at the same time. Everyone can edit it and it is simultaneously shown on the computer of every other person there. Plus there's a text box for stuff off any kind of record. Me and my friend are writing a book together and it's worked great for us. If you'll let me help you with this, we can all work together on a sync.in note.

There's also Google docs. Just putting it out there.
