Devilish Nights [Artsydaze & Taka Uchiha]
Night was falling as a shrouded figure ascended the numerous stair leading to the Council's Chamber, the center of operation of Humanity against both itself and the dreaded Shadows. Time was of the essence as the dreadful dark creatures awakened at night, in their turn bringing forth the worst of human's nature as was their secondary purpose. Indeed, Shadows were born of the night and of Humanity's darkest nature, mingling together into creature of nightmare... no, they were nightmares themselves.
The figure reached the end of it's ascension, torches lighting the way as waves crashed upon a cliff nearby, the fading rays of the sun painting everything in an orange light as the moon ascended, shadows lengthening and starting to prepare for the birth of their avatars. Time was of the essence as the figure reached a set of heavy double doors and pushed, slowly making a gap large enough to slip into from the two heavy reinforced steel plate that were used as the entrance to the most revered site of humankind. Beyond was a bright room with no shadows in sight as was required for survival in these dark times.
The room was circular and in the middle, on the floor was a elaborate mosaic of suns and esoteric symbols depicting and enhancing the ritual that would soon take place. All around the room were richly decorated thrones made of various precious metal, all in a big circle facing the center where were seated richly garbed hooded figures. As the doors closed behind the soon to be ascended human being, they watched as the figure walked to the center of the circle, drawing back the hood hiding the figure from view as the others talked.
“You are here to become one of the Devils and earn the right to form a tribe. Do you accept the risk of the rituals and accept responsibility of each actions you will make henceforth?” Said one of the seated being in a deep and dark voice. The man must have been the leader as he spoke with confidence and leadership, his voice resonating briefly in the bright room.
